We live on this 6 acres of beautiful land with a large variety of trees and plants. It also features a small beach and a Pickleball court free to use.
Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills on route to Sequoia National Park makes our location very convenient. This is agricultural land which mainly grow citrus, nuts and other tree crops. Citrus groves have windmachines for frost protection and if the nighttime temperature dips below 36 degrees, they start up automatically. This can be noisy depending on how severe the frost threat is to the crops. We are 5 minutes from great restaurants and 45 minutes from Sequioa National Park.

OrangeRay, home of Pixie's Place Animal Sanctuary and Hospice was founded in 2007, when I left L.A. for the forest by the river to create, and to expand my shamanic pursuits. Being that Three Rivers was home to the socialist Kaweah Colony in the 1800's; which helped in the founding of Sequoia National Park; the area is rich in history. Poet John Muir was enchanted and inspired by this area; Walt Disney fell under her spell as well when he envisioned a "Swiss Chalet" style resort which never came to fruition. The water wars of California began right here; gold rush...right here!
"Kaweah" is the name given by the Indians for the sound the Crow makes. Three Rivers literally sits on slabs of quartz crystal, making rock hunting superb! As an energy practitioner, the quartz heightens the healing process; as well as creating an energy vortex.
My property sits on an area that was once an Indian village, and then the school house for the children of the pioneers. There was a huge Hare Krishna Colony up here in the 60-70's.
As a photographer and filmmaker, the lighting up here is amazing! The night skies literally pulsate with their celestial canopy. A great spot to sky watch as well!
The property is not kid-friendly, and is not really here for children as much as it is offered for the inner child in adults. WE ARE 420 friendly which is in opposition to most "family" landscapes....so please note this is not personal but I prefer no children xo
Also, I prefer no pets, as it disrupts the balance here with the animal residents :)

Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Thank you.

Great getaway place, everything was perfect.
Wendy definitely makes this a special place. Pictures of what the place is are on point, ypu have everything you could thing off, loved the eggs, you have acess to the river super close to Sequoia if that is something you want to do. Def a place to be free and enjoy nature, would def love to come back! Wendy is such a great host.

Absolutely awesome and unique place to stay. Wendi is genuinely such a wonderful host. Her animals are all absolutely lovely to have around. Loved staying in the little vintage trailer and really enjoyed getting to sit under the stars next to a little fire every night. Her spot is right on the river and I def recommend taking a dip and laying in the hammock as the sun rises. Location is great if you are planning on going into Sequoia National Park for some adventures too!

This place is special! It is glamping at its finest. The setting by the river is beautiful, the outdoor kitchen makes cooking fun and easy and the yurts v comfortable. There is so much to do on this property from exploring the river and swimming holes to reading and napping in one of the many nooks by the river. Just spectacular. Kenneth has really made this a retreat.

Weekend Trip to OrangeRay~Three Rivers
Cannot recommend this Hipcamp enough! The property is perfect for a weekend getaway, and Wendi is an incredible host and truly a gem of a human, as other reviewers have also commented.
We stayed in the teepee next to the reading nook and had everything we needed: a fan, light, and outlet inside the tent; dishes and cutlery and a camping stove (though we brought our own); a cooking area, an eating area, and two pool chairs to lay out. The reading nook provided a chill space to watch a movie on our iPad at night, and a quiet place for reading and meditation during the day. Outside, the property had so much to offer: plenty of animals all with unique personalities, river access (water was flowing in late September), and serene nature all around. The grocery store is less than a 5 minute drive away.
Wendi deserves her own shoutout apart from the property and sleeping/playing amenities. She is an amazing host and an absolute joy to chat with. Knowing it was my boyfriend’s birthday, she went out of her way to have a cupcake and candle prepared for us in the nook! But it didn’t stop there — she also washed our dishes for us and prepared our firewood each night. She made our trip a relaxing getaway. There’s so much I could say in this review, but I’ll leave it at that and say: you have to visit Pixie’s Place for yourself if you want to experience the magic! We came as strangers and left with a new friend, and we will be back because our experience was that unique. Love you, Wendi!

Wendy was an absolute treasure. So welcoming and so thoughtful. Provided so many little things that made us feel right at home (left salt and pepper out for us when we forgot, washed our dishes despite our insistence, provided clean towels, etc.). She goes above and beyond for her HipCampers.
The Tipi was so comfortable and had a little reading nook/shed that comes along with it. Perfect for changing, hanging out, and storage. Awesome station for cooking, picnic table for eating, and lounge chairs for stargazing.
The animals were so amazing too! If you're looking to have your batteries recharged in the most beautiful and welcoming environment, stay here!

The tree tents were so unique! A nice mix of camp and glamp. We were lucky enough to have the highest tree tent with the best views, so getting up there was worth the hike! Just pack light unlike us lol. Will definitely be recommending this to everyone and we hope to come back again soon!

Everything about the tree hugger tents exceeded our expectations. The bed was super comfortable and roomy, and we kept cozy, even during wind and rain. It was great having some space in the fridge and cooking supplies. We were glad to have brought a sheet and light blanket, since it was a bit too warm for a sleeping bag. The road up is a bit steep, but we were able to steer around the few ruts, even with our low clearance Tesla. We were a bit nervous after climbing to that elevation, since there is no EV charging in the parks, but it worked out fine for us with some careful planning. All in all, a really great experience!

Weekend Trip to Sequoia Secluded Escape
Kiley is super super quick to respond. The cabin was overall good but slightly more rustic than I had imagined. Our generator failed in the middle of the night in the second night which I think was just bad luck but meant we had no WiFi, which meant no signal at all in this area!
There is cooling and a fan.
It is right by Sequoia and King’s Canyon parks, but the drive from Three Rivers to the cabin ends up taking about 25 minutes extra.
My one thing to improve- the towels were really nice but the bedsheets were polyester which I really hate, and made it super sweaty given the heat!
View of the stars is amazing and super quiet up there, although the swamp cooler was pretty loud

We enjoyed the uniques location and setup of this campground. We stayed in the tree tents and they were well designed with hot showers and faucet along with a toilet on the deck. Also on the deck was a bench that doubled as a storage box and was great for keeping our belongings while we were away. The tent itself was roomy and actually had enough room where we could stand up in it if we needed to. The location was beautiful and quiet at night and our family really enjoyed being outside and seeing the night sky in the dark surroundings.

Weekend Trip to "paradise is within you"
We spent two nights at this retreat, and it truly felt like discovering a hidden paradise. At first, we weren’t even sure we’d find it, as it’s tucked away in a quiet mountain pass – but once we arrived, that sense of seclusion became one of the best things about the stay.
Our tent was spacious and comfortable, and the whole area radiated peace and calm. After a long day of hiking, nothing compared to stepping into the warm sauna and then plunging into the crisp, refreshing mountain river. In the evenings, we sat under the dazzling night sky, listening to the gentle murmur of the water as it carried us into sleep.
The place had everything we could have asked for: clean toilets and showers, a small outdoor gym, and a well-equipped kitchen. Mornings came with a few curious wasps buzzing around our breakfast, but they never stung – just a small reminder that in nature, we share the space with its little inhabitants. The mattress in our tent was also a little sunken in the middle, creating a slight dip, but despite that we still slept deeply and comfortably.
What really tied it all together was Kenneth, our kind host, who made sure every detail was taken care of and that everyone felt welcome. Thanks to him, and to the setting itself, this retreat felt less like a stay and more like a little escape into another world.

Wendi's land is magic! My best friend and I stayed in the camper and absolutely loved it. We dipped in the river each morning and night, sat by the stars, cooked outside of the camper, and even got to chat with Wendi a bunch. She is so passionate about what she does, about the animals that she cares for and the land. This was a wonderful experience and I want to come back in the spring!
