We offer a level spot beside a barn surrounded by apple trees and acres of vineyard. There is a small fire pit. A perfect location for outdoor activities and wine tasting around Paso Robles Wine Country, secluded and surrounded by nature. Live working vineyard, may experience vineyard operations from time to time. FALL DISCLOSURE: Two nights of harvesting will happen between late September and late October, but unlikely disturb your stay (though we cannot not guarantee as we are an operating vineyard). There are 5 acres of hills of oak trees, bay leaf and redwood trees frequented by the tree squirrels, deer and birds that live all over the property. There are 2 house is occupied on the property as well. Max the cat, chickens and a sweet lab named Maverick also occupy the property. The driveway is accessible for by car, truck, camper van, (Westie, or same type of camper van); tent campers are welcome too. It's not very easily accessible for very large trailers (more than 36 ft). The neighborhood is very quiet. Water, Wifi, and power are all available. There is no cleanout for sewer. Our 42 acres is located at the beginning of the award winning Adelaide Wine trail in Paso Robles. Our ranch was once home to a horse boarding and breeding ranch which bred Paso Fino horses, known for their beautiful gait. Having been a horse ranch, it left us with some nice trails that you can enjoy during your stay. We have some nice uphill walks to view your local surroundings while sitting to enjoy a glass of wine or you morning cup of coffee/tea. We are on a well out here so at times you may get a sulphur/mineral smell to the water. Please bring your own drinking/cooking water. It is safe to shower, my hair feels so much thicker! On the ranch you will see that we have 2 donkeys, Desi (black) and Lucy (light grey). Along with our donkeys we have to friendly goats, Fiona (brown) and Sadie (white), they love carrots. but please stick to one carrot a day each, we don't want to over feed them. We also have chickens which means have farm fresh eggs. $5 for 1/2 dozen. Up on the hill you will see Connie a cow and her buddy Samuel, the bull. they love carrots but please do not go into their pasture. She'll think you're bringing food and gets very dangerously excited. Please feel free to walk the property and become one with nature while observing the local indigenous floral and fauna.

Weekend Trip to Johansing Farms

We spent two wonderful days at this property. The place is beautiful, surrounded by pastures and vineyards, and the owners are incredibly kind and helpful. We mentioned that we wanted to have a BBQ for dinner, and they provided us with a wood-burning grill, complete with firewood and fire starters. We cooked one of their rib-eyes — absolutely delicious! It was our first experience with a wood-fired BBQ, and we loved it! The property also has a fire pit. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

This was the perfect little spot to set up our tent for the night on a road trip up the coast. Just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and restful, yet still close to the amenities of town and didn't take us too far out of our way. The spot was clean and private enough, with a bathroom nearby. And it was a treat to wake to the donkeys sweet braying!

We stayed in a charming recently renovated Airstream trailer located in a clearing in the low forest of the coastal range. Local wild life was abundant and dramatic ranging from ground squirrels and woodpeckers to deer and a red tail hawk. Mid April in the low 80s was pleasant~much lower starts to get “prepare for it” cold at night. Just north of loads of wineries. Expect tasting fees with 2-3 ~$60 bottle minimum purchases and you should have a good time. Lots to do in Paso Robles, just ask around.

My wife and I, along with our dog, had a wonderful time staying here in our camper van. It was cool to be in such a private and beautiful setting on a working ranch, complete with freely grazing cattle, soaring redtail hawks, and playful coyotes howling in the distance. We were welcomed by Will, who told us about this place that his grandparents started in 1974, and encouraged us to explore to our hearts' content. It was lovely.

Had the pleasure of staying here for the new year . I was lucky enough to have the whole place to myself too! They have a cute little cabin that actually saved me from the wind. I usually stay in my tent but it was so windy my tent kept trying to fly away. There are cute horse parking spaces . The owner Jesse was saying their place is usually for people with horses but they accommodate. It was so close to the field of light Sensorio which was the main place I wanted to go for the holiday . But if I’m ever camping in the area again. I’d recommend this place.
