Quite. Very open. Windy and wet in late March. Unmaintained dirt road washed out by rain. CAUTION: if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle and its raining, you may get stuck! Not big rig friendly! Very few spots to comfortably turn around. Some trash and discarded furniture on the road.

Very nice and peaceful location. This location has a very remote feel to it however, you’re not very far from the town of California City. Access is easy and flat. The setting is beautiful with excellent views in all directions. Instructions and communication with host was very good!

Loved it! Desert retreat! Private, very private.
I enjoyed scavenging for stones to build fire pit and then scavenging for wood. Drone Heaven, awesome spot to fly...will return some day.

Easy spot to stop on our road trip. It’s all just open desert out there, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. The last little bit is dirt road, but it was quite easy for us to drive it in our van. We were able to find the land in the dark without a problem.

We loved camping on this property. There was a grill a deck and a nice picnic table near the fire pit. We were far enough away from the road that our dogs were safe but free to roam. We would totally use this site again.

M O N Middle of Nowhere Its a great spot for breaking up a long trip. Easy access and NoOne around under the stars. Second time and will use again. Other spots tend to have neighbors this spot does not!

Exactly how the listing described. Desert spot, very private and quiet and no hookups. We didn't see anyone. Had a standard cruise America RV so the dirt road was a little concerning but the RV took it well. Just go slow and you won't have any trouble. Only a few minutes from town. If you want to have a fire, you will need a permit and will need to build your own pit. Worked for us, no complaints.

Nobody else around. I liked it but others may be concerned about safety. You'll enjoy it if you are tired of rv parks right by the interstate. I damaged my rear stabilizer scissor jacks leaving the area. Not Jim's fault but be careful when you turn on to the main road. There is a deep swale, at least right now.

The site was as advertised. Very quiet piece of land in the desert. It was not easy to find because we got there just as the sun went down. There are no street signs because there are no streets, just small dirt roads in a grid pattern. Our navigation system took us right to the spot and we found our patch of heaven.

Enjoyed our weekend on this 5-acre parcel of land in the desert west of California City. Clear skies in the evening helped this city slicker see two shooting stars within a few minutes of each other. Nearest neighbor was at least 1/2 mile away. AT&T cell service: 4/4 bars!

This is the perfect spot for being alone in the desert. We didn’t see a single soul, and could just enjoy being out in the open with the mountains in the distance.
The wildlife was awesome too - huge anthills and big desert beetles, lots of birds and animal tracks everywhere.
