This 40 acres sits on the Yuba River Ridgetop. At the "Platform of Pleasure" you will enjoy 100,000+ acre views of protected land looking North to the High Sierra, minutes away from downtown Nevada City and 15 miles from Yuba River Trailheads. This is an incredible property with an incredible host! I camped at Willow springs, and really enjoyed the lushness of the willows, the privacy, and watching the Beavers, Owls and Hawks. I also stayed a week in Tiny Blue which was a little slice of heaven!! I loved all the books, the view and it was super comfy! The tiny kitchen and bathroom nearby were absolutely perfect and I didn't need to leave the property for anything for many days. Wendy is so enthusiastic and hands on, you can really tell she loves what she does and has built a beautiful sanctuary for artists, writers, creative types and those that are in need of some sanctuary. I Especially encourage women who are Solo camping to spend some time at this beautiful location! I can't wait to come back next year!🌀

From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The sweeping views and gentle quiet made it feel like a hidden retreat, yet it’s only about 11 minutes from the charming streets of Nevada City. Our hosts, Chris and Rebecca, were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Saturday morning, our car key’s remote battery unexpectedly died. Instead of having to call an Uber or drive into town for a replacement, they cheerfully produced a spare battery—turning what could have been a stressful moment into a reminder of their thoughtful hospitality. It’s rare to find a spot that combines natural beauty, convenience, and hosts who genuinely care, but this place has all three. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and their thoughtfulness truly made our experience even better. Highly recommended!

I loved staying at Tiny Blue! The solace was much needed and the space is comfortable with incredible views. The beaver pond is very sweet and the resident llama is awesome. Wendy gave very clear directions and is available if anything comes up. There’s even an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit! I will be staying here again!

Chris & Rebecca’s place is perhaps the quietest camp I have ever stayed at. No noise other than nature, no lights in the near valley. Just leaning on the chair at the deck of their “Platform of Pleasure” cabin while taking in the breathtaking view was an experience worth savoring for hours in the sunset time… Our dog was also in heaven, with so much land to trot across. Chris & Rebecca were also super attentive and generous hosts. Highly recommended… We are definitely coming back!

This place is amazing. The view is breathtaking, that’s an understatement. We spent hours watching the view, the sunset and sleeping under the stars. Chris and Rebecca were so welcoming and kind. They gave us a tour of their beautiful space and helped us move our equipment to the space. They sent me a great curated list of hikes and places to visit during our stay and the two we were able to squeeze in were INCREDIBLE. The platform is better than we could have imagined. The perfect place for us. Private, and spacious. Well equipped with lighting, a gas grill, tables, chairs and a cozy bed with an indescribably beautiful view. The facilities felt well maintained and clean. The features are well thought through and allow us to set up quickly and focus on our vacation. Chris and Rebecca have built something really special out there. I have been to this area quite a few times, but this beautiful property gave me a new perspective on the place. We’re already planning our next trip.

Weekend Trip to Pequena Huts

We had such a fun and peaceful time at Ari’s little piece of heaven. It’s a very cute getaway surrounded by tall trees, so it’s in the shade most of the day. It never felt hot in the tiny house, even though the temps where in the high 80’s. It is obvious that a lot of love and thoughtfulness is being put into the property to make sure the guests have a lovely stay. We loved everything about it. Taking a shower outdoors under the blue skies and trees was very nice. Enjoyed the outdoor meals and sink. She had just finished the bathroom and it was a very nice and appreciated addition. The lake is a 15 min nice hike away. Ari greeted us upon arrival and showed us how to get to the trail. We went to the water first thing and had a good time before a beautiful sunset dinner. Ari lives in the main house 20 feet away from the tiny house, but went away for the weekend so it felt very private. Me made great memories there and the kids can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Chris & Rebecca were awesome host. As soon as we got there, Chris was super helpful in showing us around and providing anything we needed. The platform itself was gorgeous. Space to just relax and enjoy sunset and or stargazing at night. The property itself had plenty to do like corn hole, ping pong, a really nice swing, and more. 10/10 site and we can't wait to be back!
