Cute little cabin nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe to get to but also away from the Tahoe chaos. Host lives on property , but will most likely be out and about most of the day. There are two neighbors but both own 20 acres so you can not see them, feels very private. The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend. you can’t hear highway noise while in the cabin and towards the back of the land. However it is nice to be so close to highway 20 because it leads to several different destinations. ( west : Nevada city. east: towards Tahoe, and both directions there are soo many lakes/ rivers ) Tiny house: •Full sized futon downstairs and king sized mattress in loft. Electric fireplace, all the game boards , cards, chess, fire pit, projector for movies if requested!!! •Additional guests are welcome to pitch a tent on the land if needed. •Hot plate, toaster oven, mini fridge, kitchen appliances, coffee (French press, drip, mocha pot). Black stone grill outside. Fire pit , check if fires are allowed during booking •Separate bathroom with compost toilet or a short walk to outhouse. Outdoor shower in the making, message if available. FUN: •Lake Spaulding is about 1/4 mile hike down from the property. There is a boat launch and plenty of room to park it on the property if you want to bring a boat. Also have two paddle boards you are welcome to use. Rivers/lakes/swimming holes: •emerald pools, crystal clear water , cliff jumping , waterfalls . 10 minute drive •south yuba river 5-15 minutes depending on the spot (ask for recommendations ) •bowman lake road connects to several lakes . 10 minute drive •lake valley reservoir , 10 minute drive •donner lake, rent kayaks, paddle boards or a boat. 20 minutes • eagle lakes rd swimming hole about 5 minutes •truckee, the cutest town with fun shops, restaurants and bars, 25 minutes . We had such a fun and peaceful time at Ari’s little piece of heaven. It’s a very cute getaway surrounded by tall trees, so it’s in the shade most of the day. It never felt hot in the tiny house, even though the temps where in the high 80’s. It is obvious that a lot of love and thoughtfulness is being put into the property to make sure the guests have a lovely stay. We loved everything about it. Taking a shower outdoors under the blue skies and trees was very nice. Enjoyed the outdoor meals and sink. She had just finished the bathroom and it was a very nice and appreciated addition. The lake is a 15 min nice hike away. Ari greeted us upon arrival and showed us how to get to the trail. We went to the water first thing and had a good time before a beautiful sunset dinner. Ari lives in the main house 20 feet away from the tiny house, but went away for the weekend so it felt very private. Me made great memories there and the kids can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Arianne's place was awesome. The hut itself was nice and cozy for my girlfriend and I, and our dog. The blackstone out near the fire pit was my personal favorite! Spaulding lake was a short drive away and made for a nice swim on the hot day we stayed. Overall, would def stay here if you're looking for a comfy place to stay.

Lake glamping getaway

Great spot just a 2-minute drive to beautiful lake Spaulding. We loved it! Our boys & the dog camped outside in the tent while we slept in the tiny house. Hostess was very attentive and available. Recommend for a nearby lake glamping getaway!!

Peaceful Stay at Pequena Hut

We had a wonderful stay at the Pequena Hut with our two large dogs! The hut is cozy, clean, and stocked with everything you need for basic cooking. We used the Blackstone grill for all our meals and loved eating by the fire each evening. The location is incredible — we visited Emerald Pools, but the real highlight was Blue Lake. It’s a bit off the beaten path, and we had it almost entirely to ourselves. The swimming was perfect and peaceful. We also checked out the trail to Lake Spaulding, which is doable for humans but a bit too rough for one of our pups. Each evening, we walked up to the rocks above the hut to watch the sunset — definitely a favorite moment. Pro tip: during hot days, aim the fan outward upstairs and keep the windows and door open to create a cooling draft. At night, turn the fan inward and you’ll get a nice breeze through the loft for comfortable sleep. We’d love to come back!

Cozy camping hut with a loft sleeping area that was very comfortable, outdoor shower attached and a composting toilet in a separate outhouse just a couple steps away. There are both a large and a small gas grill available but we loved the fire pit with the optional cooking grate. Lake Spaulding is very near and Emerald Pools are just a few minutes' drive away. Plus there is nice dark-sky star viewing at night. We had a great time!

Beautiful place and a wonderful host! Ari gave us a tour around her land, which was gorgeous. We did a multigenerational camping trip for a weekend, with grandma comfortable in the adorable, small house and the rest of us with kids camped outside. Really enjoyed being able to bring our old pup along with. The kids loved playing on the rocks in the back with a gorgeous view, and we all enjoyed a hike down to Lake Spaulding and spending the day at the water.

Nice property but definitely not for 6 people, it’s for 4 people. Restroom have no lock. Little bit expensive for the size of cabin. Otherwise nice and clean. BBQ grills, utensils, lawn chairs, fire wood all available.

Arianne’s property really is a slice of paradise. It was a wonderful retreat and felt like an escape with all the necessities. Everything needed for great getaway
Pequena Hut
The hut provided a wonderful place for my two teens and I to relax. Lake Spaulding is an enjoyable hike (20 minutes each way) and the Yuba river is a short (10 minute) drive. Ari was super helpful and responsive to our questions about the area and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The hut is well supplied for cooking and wifi was available. We didn’t bring our dog but this would be a great spot for dogs! The space is small and basic but adequate and a huge step up from camping!

A perfect romantic stay! The cabin provides the little luxuries, a bed, fridge, toilet, while still feeling like you’re completely outdoors. The best glamping we’ve done. Ari was the best, she showed us around the property and set us up a project for movies under the stars. Couldn’t have imagine a more perfect stay!

Lovely cabin right by the national forest and a 20 min walk to lake Spaulding. Cabin is cozy and nicely decorated. Ari is super nice and attentive. Would highly recommend for a comfy getaway.

This little house was such a great spot, and Ari was an amazing host! She was super responsive and helpful. She took the time to hike with me down to the lake to make sure that I didn't get lost. The location was fantastic, would definitely stay here again!

A lovely relaxing space! The cabin is cosy & pretty with lots of things you may need: silverware, electric burner, plates, etc. There is a nice fire pit. Trees, wildflowers & close to beautiful lake Spaulding where we enjoyed paddle-boarding, swimming & laying in hammocks. Host is friendly & helpful but gives you your space.

Nice little cabin for couple + pup

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights at the Pequena Hut. The tiny cabin has character. Nice touches like little plants, white lights, and s'mores available. The only real down side was that the sink is not set up yet, but the outdoor shower was right out the front door where we could access water. The area was peaceful. You can hear some road noise when outside, but gorgeous trees and rocks. Ari was kind to share her paddle board to take a mile to the beautiful lake.

This is a beautiful little cabin on a gorgeous piece of land. The property owner was super nice and very quick messaging back. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again if/when we’re back in the area.

Absolutely beautiful property. Host was extremely generous with the space, and made our short trip really special. Absolutely gorgeous scenery to hike around and just enjoy the forest. Lake Spaulding was less than 1/4 mile away and truly took our breath away. We had the entire lake to ourselves and the entire family really enjoyed themselves. Absolutely would recommend!

Wonderful Stay at Pequeña Hut

We had a lovely stay at Ari's cabin with our dog! The setting in the forest is beautiful and It is super close to Lake Spalding which is a quick drive or a steep walk away. Ari did a great job orienting us to the property and helping us with a couple small items and we also felt plenty of solitude. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, sponges, paper towel, cooking implements, two burners, and a fairly large mini fridge and freezer. This made cooking super straightforward! The bed was spacious and comfortable, and everything was wonderfully clean. The shower was also plenty hot with a little bit of fiddling with the hose valves and heat adjustments. It is important to note that the easy access to Highway 20 comes with the sound of the highway and the Union Pacific Transcontinental railway runs a few hundred yards away so it is also audible and well traveled. This did not detract from our stay and we really appreciate it how quickly we could get to all of the surrounding lakes and trailheads because of the easy access to the highway. All told we really enjoyed our time staying at Pequeña Hut and hope many others have the opportunity to enjoy!

My family and I had a wonderful time camping at Arianne’s cabin. Two adults, two elementary school aged kids, and two small dogs stayed at her cabin. The cabin itself is cute and well-appointed with a king-size bed that's up the ladder in the loft, a futon, an adorable retro fridge, an outdoor shower, & composing toilet. The cabin was easy to find from the main road and has gorgeous mature trees, and a path leading to the remainder of the property. My words won't do it justice, so check out the pics. We had cell reception at the cabin and on most of the property. There is a lake very close by that you can drive or hike to for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, or just hanging out by the edge of the lake. On our last night there, we watched the sunset from a great spot and then roasted s’mores around the fire pit. We had a truly lovely time and Ari made it even better! From start to finish, she was an excellent host and easy to get in touch with, from booking to our departure. Her dog is the sweetest and was very gentle with our kids & our small dogs. She had lots of little things to make you feel at home, from pretty lights, to soft pillows, great board games, bug spray, smores sticks, and more. It's clear she has put a lot of love and thoughtfulness into her cabin and being a host. We highly recommend her and her cabin, and would love to visit again!
