We are a 30 amp full hook up (sewer, water & electrical) for 33’ RV’s and living quarters horse trailers. You will also have access to our community laundry area, with a large garbage can to dump a bag if needed. Some suggestions for town; Grab some quick delicous breakfast and coffee at Janey’s. Or American cuisine lunch at The Horny Toad, a Mexican cuisine dinner while watching the turtles in the pond at El Encanto! Ofrenda, right at the end of the road, also has great authentic Mexican cuisine. Many restaurants to choose from all within a short drive. Bashas, Safeway, Target, and Walmart and Sprouts are all within a 3-6 mile drive too! We have two turnout pens for horses. That are located right behind where you will park your trailer. They both have a cover that provides some shade, as well as running water. We do not provide any feed, so please make sure you bring some! We ask that you please do not feed any horses that do not belong to you. Or go into any pen that your horse is not in. For safety and respect :) Thank you in advance. This spot was fantastic!! Nice and private on our part and the hosts part. We did not feel like we were intruding on her space and she kept her distance making us feel like it was our own private spot. The views were beautiful. It was nice being in town and close to everything but not feeling like we were in the middle of the city! The animals were a huge bonus. Our boys loved seeing them and hearing them every morning. The communication was fantastic. The rules/expectations were very clear and reasonable. We will definitely keep this in mind for future travels.

I’ve stayed here twice, both times a great experience. Proximity to boththe city and to nature. Flush toilet, sink, and shower are huge bonuses. It’s such a unique and picturesque spot. I felt lucky to find it on HipCamp. Niko is very responsive as well.

Lovely gracious hosts and a perfect location in Gilbert ! The neighborhood was safe, friendly, and quiet. The trains were not a bother and hardly heard them. The hosts are friendly, welcoming, helpful, and responsive. My dogs loved having the yard to hang out in secured all around and that was a huge plus for us. We would definitely stay again !

1 night at Mountain Vista Retreat

What a perfect location! With views of the mountains, forests and horse farms it is hard to believe you are just a few minutes from Phoenix. Cheryl and Jeff were very accommodating, despite my arriving past my own bedtime, let alone theirs. The spot is next to an attached garage at their home, but it felt like my own slice of heaven. Hook ups and the dump station were close by and easy to get to. I arrived after dark and was a bit surprised when I heard animal sounds, but quickly realized it was the neighbor’s horses. That was a treat that doesn’t happen where I live. It was exceptionally quiet and peaceful and I will return when I have time to enjoy the scenery and explore the nearby attractions like hiking and restaurants. I was in town for a medical appointment and made it my launch pad to northern AZ. Thank you to both Cheryl and Jeff! See you soon..

We both enjoyed camping at Cactus Forest. The views were wonderful and being able to see the stars. Love the property and it was closed to Casa Grande Ruins National Monument I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to a historical monument and a Boondocking experience! Nice enough place. Nothing fancy here. Just a big backyard with some shade and grass. The flowers and shade do make it comfortable. A few vehicles stored here and there. It meets the need for a decent place to stay for a couple of nights and the people are very friendly and accommodating. I can't give it a rave review but I don't really have anything bad to say either. It gets the job done and I would stay again if needed.

Awesome spot! The host was there to greet us, plenty of room for our truck and 25’ trailer. Nice, quiet location and meticulously well-kept! The pups were super happy to be able to run around. Absolutely would recommend and hopefully will be able to stop again next time we are through the area.

We enjoyed our stay in the desert at Cactus Forest. It’s in the middle of the desert, and the afternoons are hot, but when we use our camper as shade, the temps were cool and breezy. We enjoyed walking our dog along the dirt road, and didn’t experience any stickers! The evenings are cool, and there is a big sky above…..A perfect spot to stop for the night😍

This most recent stay was our 4th time at Shantel’s. Convenient to local restaurants and hiking parks. After a full day, returning to our site really allows us to unwind. We can’t wait to go back
