Cool place to camp. Bit of a washboard road to get there, but certainly worth it. We arrived late and had to leave early, so we were sad to miss the excellent looking food and beer menus at the adjacent brewery. The 'portable toilets' are nice, clean trailer bathrooms, not plastic port-a-potties.

Hosts allowed early arrival for available site during extreme heat day. My RV dash a/c minimally working and I needed out of the heat. I got a good night sleep and decided to extend my stay to get full rest before continuing on to the next stop. River Sands is a newer RV resort that offers long and short stay. We were only there a few days while traveling through. The Clubhouse is very nice with game tables, TVs, sitting areas, exercise room (lots of equipment) and bathrooms. The pool is beautiful and there is a hot tub available. Sites are gravel but lots of space between. The park is huge with over 300 spaces. Laundry room & showers are clean. If you want a picnic table you have to rent one. Because the park is so large, depending on where your site is, you will probably need to drive or rent a golf cart to get to the clubhouse, laundry, beach, dog park, or fishing lake. It would be nice to have more shaded areas (i.e., cabana/ramada areas). It gets pretty hot and very little shaded areas. We brought our dogs and I was concerned about their feet b burning as there are very few grassy areas, if any. The beach has some cabanas. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I'm certain in a few more years, when the vegetation has a chance to grow, it'll be absolutely beautiful.

We love staying on Shirley and Keith’s land. It’s wonderful to have full hookups in a nice quiet, safe, neighborhood with a private patio. We have an 80-acre Organic Medjool Date farm located at the base of the Gila Mountains in Wellton, AZ. We are a bit off the beaten path but once you get here it's so worth the drive. The star gazing is amazing and if you like off-roading there are trails everywhere out here! We have an onsite Brewery and restaurant, open seasonally to guests and to the public. High Tanks Brewing Co is open November-April, Thu-Sun. Throughout this season we offer many fun things to do such as farm tours, live music, cornhole tournaments, yoga, farm-to-table style dinners, and much more.
