Sacred Springs

5 sites · Lodging, Tents8 acres · Lake Montezuma, AZ
Sacred Springs A phenomenal, sacred riparian corridor. Sacred Springs offers a retreat for seekers of serenity and spiritual renewal. Just up the creek from the iconic Montezuma Castle National Monument and down from the enchanting Montezuma Well. Your journey will begin long before you arrive, as you enter into the sacred river valley and embark on the primitive road that leads to our desert oasis. From our campsites, you'll have the remarkable opportunity to witness the echoes of the past and the pulse of the present, as a active view of the nearby I-17 highway traces the path of this ancient route. As travelers journey along this prehistoric corridor, their footsteps echo those of countless generations who traversed these lands long before us. Driving atop the mesa, you'll feel the powerful frequency of the desert enveloping you and by the time you reach Sacred Springs you’ll sense, the immense potential for transformation and connection that awaits you. Our campsites have breathtaking, panoramic sunrise and sunset views and overlooks a powerful confluence of Wet Beaver Creek and Dry Beaver Creek. While Sacred Springs offers a breathtaking retreat amidst the beauty of nature, it's important to note the inherent dangers of our unique landscape. Perched on a cliff 60 feet above the creek, our property boasts stunning views and serene surroundings—but it also requires vigilance and care. The terrain here is steep and unforgiving, reminding us to slow down and savor each moment mindfully. (Please, remain on trails at all times.) With every step, it's crucial to remain fully present, ensuring proper footing and safe navigation at all times. As you explore the wonders of Sacred Springs, let this be an opportunity to hone your senses and cultivate a deeper connection with the earth beneath your feet. Embrace the challenge of traversing the rugged terrain, knowing that every cautious step brings you closer to the heart of this sacred sanctuary. This land holds the echoes of a prehistoric ancient community that thrived right here, utilizing irrigation for farming and dwelling in cliffside abodes. Picture yourself immersed in the rich history of the Hisat'sinom, sitting in a cave dwelling pondering about the daily lives of the ancients. You'll have the opportunity to reconnect with yourself, and to heal. Relax fully immersed in a natural riparian corridor as you hike along the creek, find your peace in one of our hammock swings next to the creek, or witness the breathtaking sunrise and sunset, from the best seat in Arizona. —With mindfulness and respect for the land, may your visit be one of discovery, growth, and profound reverence for the natural world. Million Mile Magazine named Rio Rancho Verde as one of the top 10 locations to celebrate the top short term rental platform's 10th Anniversary.  We were also selected by the other top short term rental platform (one of 5 out of 3500 vacation rentals in Scottsdale) for a social media presentation and a cooking series was filmed at our outdoor kitchen.  This 62 acre exclusive equestrian eco-ranch is located on the border of the Tonto National Forest, and is 3/4 mile from the Scottsdale Sonoran Preserve, yet only 20 minutes from North Scottsdale. We offer boarding for your horse and packages include either a hookup for your trailer, a luxury 2 bedroom suite with pool and outdoor kitchen, a brand new 36' travel trailer with 3 slide outs, fireplace, queen size bed, full kitchen and big screen TV, or a Western chic casita/bunkhouse that has been interior decorated with Southwestern and Western accents, complete with a private courtyard.   There's plenty of wide open spaces to ride your horse, bike or hike on the many trails right outside our gate. Plenty of places nearby to hike, horseback ride, mountain bike, and explore Enjoy staying on our desert ranch located in rural North Scottsdale/ Rio Verde AZ! Several restaurants near, and 30-45 minutes into Scottsdale and all they have to offer! (NO on site BATHROOM FACILITIES...NO TENT CAMPERS unless you are self contained) The perfect retreat for those that like to see Arizona off the beaten path. Check out stellar mountain views, spectacular desert sunrises, sunsets, and star studded night skies! Wildlife and beautiful friendly birds. Listen to the quietness...and perhaps a night time coyote unique serenade. Located near some of the best hiking, biking, and horseback riding, in the state. Please note that we are down about 1/2 mile of dirt road which sometimes might be a bit challenging for XL 40 ft 5th wheels and other very low riding RVs. Most RVs have no issues. (Sometimes, the road might be too narrow for 2 vehicles... so someone will need to pull over in the plentiful wider areas... pls give the other vehicle a desert rural ranch friendly thank you "wave".) ENJOY! Get that "Way-Out-West" feeling. Wrap yourself in western fun. Take time for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and taking in the mountain views. Wi-Fi for computer and TV. Your comfort is important. This is a rural area and you will be serenaded by coyotes, mules, and roosters. There are no street lights so the stars are magnificent at night. There is about a mile of dirt road to get to the house, and it is reachable by most vehicles ( but maybe not a low-riding sports car). There are desert dirt pathways so bring appropriate footwear. We are nearby some awesome hiking, mountain biking, horse trail riding, world-class golf course, exceptional places to eat, unique shopping. Great fun! Silver Streak Sally

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Young, AZ
Closed for the season- hope to be open in April of 2024! Sorry- no infants or children under 12 (stairs/retaining wall falling hazard) Sally is a 1976 Silver Streak Trailer- completely redone on the inside- although she still has vintage charm. This cozy Young rental is located in the midst of nature but still in a neighborhood, and can accommodate two guests for a romantic weekend getaway in Arizona. Comfy Queen bed with ensuite bathroom (sink, toilet, shower). In truth the indoor shower is rarely used- the huge Bath House just outside has a rain shower and shower wand, claw foot bath tub and flush toilet. Hot soak in the tub or plunge into the Cowboy stock tank just steps away. Private! In the living area, guests can lounge on comfortable chairs and relax watching TV (bring your passwords!), the dining table is perfect for two people. The kitchen is equipped with enough cooking utensils, dishes and silverware, pots and pans, a microwave, small fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee maker (coffee, creamer, sugar), and air fryer to satisfy your weekend needs. Other amenities include free parking and Wi-Fi, and gas grill. When guests go outside, they will find a covered porch with two chairs and the outdoor fire table has more seating for star gazing (black sky- no city lights). Also, outdoor table and chairs for dining. There will NEVER be anyone in the Gray Cabin unless you rent it so you can use the extra beds. The fully fenced acre will let your small to medium size dog race around and go crazy with freedom!
