The parking property includes the fenced area around the shop address. The fenced area is our quiet area with access to 50 amp service and for our most self-contained guests who do not wish to use a generator. Loud generators or engines are not allowed.
We are looking forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy your visit.
Our property has easy access to acres and acres of Arizona Bureau of Land Management for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and properly permitted OHV use!

We purchased our 20 acre homestead 16 years ago. The buildings were unlivable and land was overgrazed , but the windmill and sweet water well gave promise. We have been Restoring the land, allowing its native habitat to thrive. We now have a Year round vegetable garden, honeybees, orchard and grape vines. The adobe home and outbuildings and Sandhill (Crane) casita are restored with all recycle materials from the property. A Few Considerations Before Booking:
Getting Here: Your journey begins with a scenic drive, we live 5-10 minutes down a dirt road. It is a bit bumpy, but standard cars like Civic or Prius will do okay, just go slow. This route isn’t ideal for very low-clearance vehicles, those uneasy about dirt roads, or trailers/RVs over 30 ft.
Off-Grid Adventure: Since we're living that sustainable off-grid dream, we work with what we call a composting "outhouse" rather than a traditional septic system. If this rustic charm doesn’t sit well with you, we might not be the ideal fit.
Pet & Wildlife Lovers: We embrace friendly furry companions! Just bear in mind, the desert is home to critters galore—everything from coyotes to bobcats. Keep a watchful eye on your pets and please make sure you clean up after your pets.
Adult-Only Zone: We cater to an 18+ crowd—so it's a peaceful haven sans kids.

It's two miles away from the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area, a popular trailhead for birdwatchers, hikers, and mountain bikers. It's just a 30 minute drive to Old Bisbee, a historic mining town with a vibrant music and art scene.
Also within a half hour drive, you can reach the Coronado National Monument, or Miller Canyon.

And... if you happen to fly a paramotor, you hit the jackpot. Just next to the camping spot, there is a landing zone. If you want to fly here, please get familiar with the local airspace. The riparian area has a 2000' requested minimum altitude. West of the river is restricted airspace and the boarder defense zone starts just six miles to the South. Heading to the North, then East, you are all clear. It's best to fly when the wind is coming from the West or South.

We back up to the San Pedro Riparian Area, and the San Pedro River, offering hiking, birding, wildlife watching, and other recreational activities. The roads leading to the property from Hereford Road are dirt that are regularly maintained, but you may experience some washboard along the way depending on the season.
Cochise County is dark sky country. After viewing those amazing Arizona sunsets, cast your eyes on the night sky, and see stars and the Milky Way like you've never experienced before! Experience the abundant wildlife that comes through the property. Birds, Javelina, deer, listen to the coyotes howl. It simply is magical!
Bird watching: Experience hundreds of different species of birds in Cochise County (485 at last count). Lots of different hummingbirds (we're the hummingbird capital of the United States), hawks, sparrows, roadrunners, cactus wren, quail, and the list goes on. Be sure to hike down the San Pedro River, or to Ramsey Canyon to see even more!
Hiking: With an abundance of canyons in the area, there's hiking opportunities all around us! A short 10 minute drive lands you at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains with Ramsey Canyon, Miller Canyon, Carr Canyon, and many more! But above all, we have a private gate leading to the BLM land situated right next to the RV pad! Feel free to use it to go and explore, maybe even hike down to the river. Don't be surprised if you see people on horseback, as this is a very popular equestrian area.
There are tons of sightseeing opportunities around us, such as Bisbee (be sure to check out Old Bisbee, and the Bisbee Breakfast Club for some amazing food), Tombstone (OK Corral puts on a very entertaining show), Cartchner Caverns State Park, Coronado National Memorial. All within a short drive from here. If you'd like to visit Mexico, you can cross at Naco (about 15 minute drive) or at Douglas (about 45 minutes)
Lots of restaurants in Sierra Vista, but we recommend trying Mimosa Pizzeria, or La Sierra Steakhouse, both just a 10 minute drive down the road, along with Dollar General for your immediate needs.
The RV site offers full hookups, 30/50 Amp service. Your pets are welcome to roam around off leash, as long as they're people and dog friendly.

The electricity is a 3 plug 30 amp and there is water connection. NO SWEWEGE : the closest dump off is Valero 17 miles towards Sierra Vista from this location, heading to or from the 10 on Fry blvd. The first night or (1) night of your choice will be Ghost walk night, approx 30-40 minute walking ghost tour-Revisiting the "Miracle valley shootout" Child friendly and included in your overnight fee . Each Morning Refreshments will be provided complementary. Along side the 12ft wide by 21ft long RV space will be a parking place for your unhooked vehicle.
Generator is ok,and any year make and models. canna friendly and ran by a licensed cottage bakery ,disabled and woman owned. I just ask that you keep the noise down after 10 pm as this historic neighborhood has older families occupancy .

Richard was so kind and explained how this little homestead came to be. It has everything you need from an outdoor composting toilet, to a hot shower and even laundry! Couldn’t ask for much more and we are glad to have been able to camp out there!

Close your eyes and imagine the most serene desert sunset/sunrise, then add in the songs of 100 birds, a trail system right on the property for meandering about, and gracious hosts that want you to have the best experience possible ... that's what it's like staying at Harry and Barbara's place.
We left feeling revitalized and certain we'd be back someday. Cannot recommend it enough.

Harry and Barbara are the real deal. Their place is quiet, beautifully kept, and the kind of spot that reminds you why you started traveling this way in the first place. I caught a lunar eclipse during my stay — the dark skies here made it genuinely unforgettable.
But honestly, the best part is the hosts themselves. Humble, gracious, like-minded, and genuinely conscious stewards of their land. You can feel the care they put into this place.
Would recommend in a heartbeat, and I'll absolutely be back.

Hidden Gem near Pearce and Sunsites AZ! Spacious sites for our RV's towing trailers and Toyhauler. Site numbers were not clear on reservations but Host let us switch to 1,2 and 3 for our rigs. We came to explore ATV trails. Great spot to camp near trails in Coronado National Forest Area and Turkey Creek (although there is a little road riding to get to the trails). We will be back to explore more trails!

One of the most important things when camping is feeling safe, and that was never a concern here. We actually felt comfortable leaving our doors unlocked during the day when we were out exploring, which says a lot. It was reassuring knowing that [host name] and [host name] were nearby in case anything unexpected happened—especially since we were traveling with our two cats and wanted peace of mind if the power went out or something came up while we were away.
The hosts were incredibly friendly and full of great recommendations for local activities and places to explore. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Bisbee/Tombstone area. Thanks for helping make this such a great trip, and if we’re ever back out this way, we’d absolutely love to camp here again!

This was a great nearby spot for visiting Chiricahua National Monument with a larger trailer that won't fit in their campground. It's also a great spot for dark skies. The only negative is that it is a very dusty spot.

I really enjoyed this site. Richard was welcoming and gave me good recommendations for the area. It was very peaceful, quiet, and had an amazing spot to watch the sunset and stargaze. The buildings on site are also really interesting. Would definitely recommend

Such a peaceful stay on Stephanie’s land. Stephanie and her husband were such kind hosts. We wanted to hike around their property and they gave us a map and also gave us some great historical sites to walk to. Each campsite was quite spacious and level. My husband and I were able to really relax. I highly recommend Stephanie’s land and I will definitely return when we pass through again.
