Getting Here: Your journey begins with a scenic drive, we live 5-10 minutes down a dirt road. It’s been graded in the last few months, so standard cars like a Civic or Prius will do just fine. That said, this route isn’t ideal for very low-clearance vehicles, those uneasy about dirt roads, or trailers/RVs over 30 ft.
Off-Grid Adventure: Since we're living that sustainable off-grid dream, we work with what we call a composting "outhouse" rather than a traditional septic system. If this rustic charm doesn’t sit well with you, we might not be the ideal fit.
Pet & Wildlife Lovers: We embrace friendly furry companions! Just bear in mind, the desert is home to critters galore—everything from coyotes to bobcats. Keep a watchful eye on your pets and please make sure you clean up after your pets.
Adult-Only Zone: We cater to an 18+ crowd—so it's a peaceful haven sans kids.

11 Acres in rural Cochise County at the end of the road. We back up to the San Pedro Riparian Area, and the San Pedro River, offering hiking, birding, wildlife watching, and other recreational activities. The roads leading to the property from Hereford Road are dirt that are regularly maintained, but you may experience some washboard along the way depending on the season.
Cochise County is dark sky country. After viewing those amazing Arizona sunsets, cast your eyes on the night sky, and see stars and the Milky Way like you've never experienced before! Experience the abundant wildlife that comes through the property. Birds, Javelina, deer, listen to the coyotes howl. It simply is magical!
Bird watching: Experience hundreds of different species of birds in Cochise County (485 at last count). Lots of different hummingbirds (we're the hummingbird capital of the United States), hawks, sparrows, roadrunners, cactus wren, quail, and the list goes on. Be sure to hike down the San Pedro River, or to Ramsey Canyon to see even more!
Hiking: With an abundance of canyons in the area, there's hiking opportunities all around us! A short 10 minute drive lands you at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains with Ramsey Canyon, Miller Canyon, Carr Canyon, and many more! But above all, we have a private gate leading to the BLM land situated right next to the RV pad! Feel free to use it to go and explore, maybe even hike down to the river. Don't be surprised if you see people on horseback, as this is a very popular equestrian area.
There are tons of sightseeing opportunities around us, such as Bisbee (be sure to check out Old Bisbee, and the Bisbee Breakfast Club for some amazing food), Tombstone (OK Corral puts on a very entertaining show), Cartchner Caverns State Park, Coronado National Memorial. All within a short drive from here. If you'd like to visit Mexico, you can cross at Naco (about 15 minute drive) or at Douglas (about 45 minutes)
Lots of restaurants in Sierra Vista, but we recommend trying Mimosa Pizzeria, or La Sierra Steakhouse, both just a 10 minute drive down the road, along with Dollar General for your immediate needs.
The RV site offers full hookups, 30/50 Amp service. Your pets are welcome to roam around off leash, as long as they're people and dog friendly.

11 Acres in rural Cochise County at the end of the road. We back up to the San Pedro Riparian Area, and the San Pedro River, offering hiking, birding, wildlife watching, and other recreational activities. The roads leading to the property from Hereford Road are dirt that are regularly maintained, but you may experience some washboard along the way depending on the season.
Cochise County is dark sky country. After viewing those amazing Arizona sunsets, cast your eyes on the night sky, and see stars and the Milky Way like you've never experienced before! Experience the abundant wildlife that comes through the property. Birds, Javelina, deer, listen to the coyotes howl. It simply is magical!
Bird watching: Experience hundreds of different species of birds in Cochise County (485 at last count). Lots of different hummingbirds (we're the hummingbird capital of the United States), hawks, sparrows, roadrunners, cactus wren, quail, and the list goes on. Be sure to hike down the San Pedro River, or to Ramsey Canyon to see even more!
Hiking: With an abundance of canyons in the area, there's hiking opportunities all around us! A short 10 minute drive lands you at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains with Ramsey Canyon, Miller Canyon, Carr Canyon, and many more! But above all, we have a private gate leading to the BLM land situated right next to the RV pad! Feel free to use it to go and explore, maybe even hike down to the river. Don't be surprised if you see people on horseback, as this is a very popular equestrian area.
There are tons of sightseeing opportunities around us, such as Bisbee (be sure to check out Old Bisbee, and the Bisbee Breakfast Club for some amazing food), Tombstone (OK Corral puts on a very entertaining show), Cartchner Caverns State Park, Coronado National Memorial. All within a short drive from here. If you'd like to visit Mexico, you can cross at Naco (about 15 minute drive) or at Douglas (about 45 minutes)
Lots of restaurants in Sierra Vista, but we recommend trying Mimosa Pizzeria, or La Sierra Steakhouse, both just a 10 minute drive down the road, along with Dollar General for your immediate needs.
The RV site offers full hookups, 30/50 Amp service. Your pets are welcome to roam around off leash, as long as they're people and dog friendly.

We purchased our 20 acre homestead 16 years ago. The buildings were unlivable and land was overgrazed , but the windmill and sweet water well gave promise. If your looking for a remote feeling camp experience then this place is for you. You’ll definitely need to be in a self supported rig because it doesn’t have any amenities but it was perfect for our dogs and us. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and sunrises during our stay. We loved how close we were to all of the climbing areas we explored.

We decided to take a last minute, camping trip with our daughter to see the Sandhill Cranes at Whitewater Draw over Christmas, and this was the perfect location. Harry and Barbara had family plans elsewhere, but they were great about communicating all that we needed to know to stay at their place. Our stay was peaceful and beautiful...just the dose of nature and animals that we all needed.
We walked the short trails around their property, and used their solo stove in the evenings to stay warm. The night sky is incredible, and their bird feeders make this a great birding spot. The cranes were not as plentiful as in past years, but a couple of surges in their comings and goings made it worthwhile.
This is a great spot for those needing some time away from the city and a dose of nature.

An awesome desert site down a short "primitive" road a quarter mile from pavement. Wildlife, peaceful, horses, a resident hawk, perfect sunrises over the Chiricahua Mountains and beautiful sunsets behind the Huachuca Mountains.
Wonderful hosts, easy in and out. I have a 60 foot rig and it went in pretty well.
Saw a couple of big cats, quite a few deer, coyote scat, so they're around too. (Keep your small pets on lead.) Definitely would return.
Just an aside, it's just up the road from Johnny Ringo's grave site. What fun!

Wow. What an incredible way to visit Tombstone! This was one of the kindest, professional, cozy, and well-located camps I’ve experienced! Only two blocks away from the OK Corral - you can’t miss!!! I slept like a baby I’m my camper van and enjoyed all of the historical excellence Tombstone has to offer. Hosts are experts with recommendations on what to do and how to enjoy this old west city! You can enjoy the shops and museums during the day, and the saloons and night life after dark (just like Doc Holliday). Bring your cowboy hat! Highly recommended, I will be back next time I’m down that way.

RV Ranch is located in a beautiful spot of Cochise County. Gorgeous view of Cochise Stronghold and surrounding ranges. It’s a working ranch so you’ll hear animal noises which added to the peace of the place for me. Full hookup, very level site made it a breeze to get settled quickly. I was so fortunate to witness the great crane migration during my stay. Thousands of them made their way to their winter home right overhead. Truly amazing. Highly recommend RV Ranch to anyone visiting this stunning area of AZ.

Our family needed a last minute spot to spend the night and refill water for our RV. The host was flexible and made sure we knew where to go since we arrived at night. Once we arrived, someone came to greet us and helped us park into our spot and set up. The location is walking distance to historic Tombstone town. Our family was able to walk over in the morning for a nice breakfast at Longhorn and explored the wonderful town before heading back on the road. A great refreshing stop for us.

Mesquite Meadows is as beautiful as pictured! The night sky, the sunset and sunrise from this spot is breathtaking. But the sights pale in comparison to the warmth and kindness demonstrated by Attila and Heather. As this was our "first full hook up run" with our RV they were happy to offer help if any was needed which was reassuring. In addition to that you can only imagine the joy we felt when Heather provided a fresh pint of homemade vanilla ice cream "which just finished churning." Needless to say, that was the first thing on the list -- finish that ice cream! What a lovely touch! We will absolutely be returning to Mesquite Meadows and enjoy the warmth, kindness, sights and peacefulness this Hipcamp offers. Highly recommended!

Amazing view of the mountains! This is a rural neighborhood with lots of 1-5 acre lots. It’s a perfect spot to be for, hiking, birding, mt biking. The river is close too. Tombstone, Bisbee, Kartchner Caverns and wine country all close for site seeing. Lisa and Dean are great and are creating a very cool space for art and healing. I loved walking the labyrinth!

The Lazy Horse Ranch is easy to get to off of the main road.
I had a great night at Lazy Horse Ranch. It was quite and comfortably. The hook ups were in working order. I even got some much needed rain.
I checked out the horses, the library, there was a place to make coffee, do laundry. They had information about trails in the area.
Maybe I will bring my horses out for a horsey vacation in the future.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in Tombstone!!! My hosts were very accommodating and were always in touch if needed. Borders BLM with access to hiking trails. My site was perfect. Very quiet!!! I'm definitely recommending and will stay only at Harvest when in town.

This was an incredible find! It ended up being exactly what we were looking for. It is about a mile down a dirt road, bordering a huge tract of BLM land. We have a 44’ fifth wheel and had plenty of room. When we arrived Heather greeted us with a loaf of fresh baked sourdough bread. Attila met us and helped us get set up. The site has full hookups and is level. They were available throughout the stay and we fell in love with the fresh well water. Seriously, the flavor of the water is amazing. Their golden retriever adopted us and is so sweet. The mountains provided the perfect backdrop every night. Tombstone, Sierra Vista and Bisbee are close by. We stayed here for 2 1/2 months and loved it. Would not hesitate to come back again.

We loved our stay with Attila and Heather. They met us at the site and assisted us getting set up. Heather also had homemade sourdough bread for us. The site has full hookups and borders thousands of acres of BLM land. It was exactly what we hoped it would be, remote, gorgeous and safe. It is about one mile down a dirt road, but plenty wide enough for our big rig. We have a 44’ fifth wheel and the site was big enough for us. One of the most surprising parts of the site was the well water. We loved the flavor of the water. The hosts are amazing and generous. We really enjoyed our time with them and would love to stay here again. It was about 25 minutes to Sierra Vista, Tombstone and Bisbee.
