Camping here in Coconino County north of Ash Fork and Seligman, down 10 miles of isolated dirt road - this is far enough away to feel remote and surrounded by nothing but ancient trees. Yet there are many cool destinations not far away: Once you get out to the highway, Williams is 30 minutes away so you can plan you visit to the Grand Canyon or ride the Grand Canyon Railway. Another 30 minutes in that direction to reach Flagstaff with its skiing, nightlife, observatory, and eclectic culture. Continue exploring and you can visit the red rocks of Sedona, the natural caves of Peach Springs, and the crystal-blue waterfalls at Havasupai. While you're camping, enjoy the peace and quiet surrounded by meadows and ancient Juniper trees. Bring your fifth wheel, camper, toyhauler, or even your tent. Bring as many friends with you as you'd like - there's plenty of space. Sit around a campfire of sweet-smelling Juniper wood while you roast marshmallows. Sunset skies at this location are incredible. There are several roads that make for perfect trails as you step out of your tent/camper. Plus, its a stone's throw off Route 66. Lovely hosts too!

I love that I can car camp there and feel safe as a solo female out on an adventure, I love the whole vibe there , with the flushable toilets and spacious shower.. The campground was so beautiful. It was very private, had a decent amount of space from other campsites. There was a nice amount of trees/ greenery. The bathroom was clean. Laura was so friendly and very kind. We didn’t have enough time to walk down to the creek but we’re definitely planning on going back and check it out.

The site is well maintained, clean, semi-private but very quiet, and has a picturesque view with beautiful sunsets. The fire pit and table were a charming touch. Pay strict attention to the directions and look for the sign to turn. This spot is great for exploring the area. Max had great communication from the start. All in all a great stay!

1 night at Richard Wizardy's Cynosure Project

Richard's property is eclectic and fun to wander. He met Mr a the gate and I was immediately introduced to two wonderful livestock dogs. Once we met, they were my friends and guardians as I wandered the property. Richard is the kindest man and shared lots of stories. The property is full of fun art from past burning man ventures. I think this guy could build anything you could imagine. There are goats, ducks, and a green house where he grows good own vegetables. He and a friend are planning on growling micro greens in a contraption they built. This spot was a lot of fun and the perfect place to spend time and relax. If you are not into being in a chill atmosphere, animals and some duck poop, them stay clear. But if you want to experience a fun piece of property then this is the place. Make sure you get to know Richard and ask for a tour. You won't regret the experience.

We had a lovely stay at Gary and Daren’s! The views were lovely, and there were lots of little nature walks around the area which were peaceful and quaint. The facilities were great! Hot showers, and a nice little common room with cooking facilities, water, towels, dishes, coffee, etc. Gary was very welcoming and accommodating. There’s lots of attention to detail and love invested in this space! We would definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience at sacred Springs. But before I get to the property, let me tell you about the hosts. We had first planned on going to the property a month ago and had some serious car troubles that made that journey impossible. I’m pretty cynical, so typically anywhere that I’ve paid some amount of money to put a deposit down and circumstances have come up that impacted our ability to get somewhere ,not the place we were going, I usually just consider the deposit given as a loss. Never to be see again. “ thanks for playing, but sorry we have to keep your money because we are uncaring un-empathetic, greedy bastards.” That was not even remotely close to the experience we had BEFORE even making it there. We reached out to inform Gary and Darrell that we would be unable to make it, sadly but would be looking forward to coming in the future. These remarkable gentlemen who were so kind throughout the entire communication process before we even booked, continued this kindness and added empathy and sympathy for our situation. Still emailing and talking to us while we were in the midst of a horrific experience with our vehicle, not near our home and dealing with the costs and every other negative you could have. These two were like a ray of sunshine. Their gracious and sincere words in the emails and their hospitality and generosity is like nothing I’ve seen in years… decades even. They refunded us and offered a complimentary stay.

Great spot to stay while exploring the Prescott area! Nice level spot with everything we needed- electric, water, sewer, fire pit and wood! Max went above and beyond to make sure we knew how to get there, where to park and to make sure we were comfortable. Bonus- we got to see javelinas every day! Host and neighbor house are near where you park, but we still felt private and everyone was very friendly.

Beautiful, well-maintained property overlooking I-17. My wife and I only stayed for a short time, but it was great! There was a hot shower and a flush toilet, which was a savior considering that our campervan's toilet wasn't working (don't rent a van from IndieCampers). There were a bunch of other amenities provided as well, and Gary was super nice and welcoming. The ONLY thing I think could be improved is that my tired brain could not figure out which direction to turn the faucet in the shower for hot water, but that was mostly my fault 😁

Laura was super sweet! There were very clear instructions on how to get in! The bathroom was super clean it had a flushing toilet and running water. She also had farm animals that were so friendly. Her dogs are the absolute cutest and super friendly! The campsite was so nice and very spacious. It had a table and fire pit with logs to sit on! The walk to the creek was super pretty and well maintained! We really enjoyed staying here!

Our group of 4 absolutely loved this beautiful campsite for its scenic views, spacious site, and fun trail that led down to the creek. We were happily surprised by all of the paddle boards and kayaks readily available for us to use as a group of 4 to explore the water and gorgeous fall colors! Gary is hands down the best host with how attentive, caring, and kind he was to us. My husband and I didn’t have the best sleeping bags for the 40-degree nights, so Gary was kind enough to let us borrow 2 sleeping bags that allowed us to sleep so much better the second night of our stay. We cannot wait to come back to Sacred Springs again soon!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Retreat on 3 Acres!

We had a great experience overall! Christine was flexible and understanding when we needed to change the dates of our stay. My daughter really enjoyed the property, especially the tire swing and hammock. It was a bit odd to us having a host on the property and around so much but Bill was helpful and friendly! Would recommend refinishing the benches and barstools on the deck as the wood was chipping in areas and could cause splinters. Some cushions on the benches would also add some more comfort but overall the deck was great for entertaining and relaxing. The inside was cozy and clean, had just the right amount of supplies for our stay. My daughter asked when we could go back before we even left, so we are looking forward to staying again sometime. Highly recommend!

We loved our time here! It was very peaceful and the large trees made it very private. Laura was a wonderful host, making sure we had everything we needed. There’s a nice walk to the creek and the alpacas and goats were fun to see. We would stay here again!
