This private, secure loft sits above three unused bedrooms that will eventually become a four-bedroom rental. Inside, you'll find a full kitchen, a heated hand-carved aspen queen bed, a private deck off the bedroom, a wood stove with complimentary firewood, a balcony, dining nook, breakfast bar, and a well-stocked kitchen with cookware and basic spices.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage on the property! The cottage itself was very clean with more amenities than what we expected. The bed was comfortable and there is wifi and basic cable for the tv, for the times that we were not out exploring the property itself or the surrounding areas. On the property there are animals (horses, goats chickens) and the hosts have 3 wonderful, friendly dogs. The hosts (Joe & Barb) are wonderful people and provided valuable insight and advice of the property and surrounding areas. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay for the few days we were there, and we already miss it! If you want to be in the mountains, somewhat remote but still close to many points of interest and activities, this is the place to be! We highly recommend this cottage and property and will most likely return for our next trip to northern AZ!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Red River Vortex! Everything about it was perfect. It was close to everything we wanted to do yet the cabin itself is somewhat remote so it's perfect for a relaxing experience. Jason was an amazing host. He suggested many incredible places to explore and was very knowledgeable about the area. We took up several of his suggestions and we were very happy that we did. I would highly recommend Jason's spot and we plan to return when we can.

We loved our stay Verde River Vortex! We stayed in for 3 nights and had a blast. Jason the owner is very accommodating and just an overall good guy! He let us borrow a stand up paddle board and shuttled our family up river so we could float down (absolutely no charge). It was such a cool experience, my husband and I floated the Verde River each with a kid on the front of our board! He also recommended a variety of secluded swimming holes for the next day. There is a hot tub on the property he let us use as well, our kids absolutely loved it! If you want to enjoy the stars, be off the beaten path yet close to town, this is your spot! I highly recommend these cabins!

Such a perfect stay! The cabin is perfect size for two people and the hot tub was perfect as well. There’s bamboo outside that helps with the privacy which is very nice! The location puts you out in nature but also very close to downtown Cottonwood which was a blast to visit! We will for sure be back!

We had a great experience overall! Christine was flexible and understanding when we needed to change the dates of our stay. My daughter really enjoyed the property, especially the tire swing and hammock. It was a bit odd to us having a host on the property and around so much but Bill was helpful and friendly! Would recommend refinishing the benches and barstools on the deck as the wood was chipping in areas and could cause splinters. Some cushions on the benches would also add some more comfort but overall the deck was great for entertaining and relaxing. The inside was cozy and clean, had just the right amount of supplies for our stay. My daughter asked when we could go back before we even left, so we are looking forward to staying again sometime. Highly recommend!

Our host went above and beyond to make everything about this experience amazing. The stay was so soulful. We took the opportunity for river kayaking, and it was made so easy with our hosts help. We were blessed to be able take the time to spend a quiet day painting rocks and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A few nights under the stars on the loft deck were the reset we needed. Can’t boast more about this stay. Highly recommend all of it.

A very peaceful stay away from the busy city! Jason's helpfulness of what we could do in the area was very much appreciated. It was the best to have a place to stay with two little kids where we didn't have to worry that their busy feet were annoying anyone below us in a hotel. We created some very special memories staying at Jason's cabin and meeting Jason! The nature that surrounds the cabin is stunning and is a great getaway. We used hot bubbly Jacuzzi under a beautiful sky after our long hike. We all loved climbing up on the loft just to chill and observe beautiful sky and feel some fresh air. Jason welcomed us so kindly and made us feel home. The cabin and Jason's hospitality is so special and something that is hard to find elsewhere. We highly recommend! Thank you so much Jason!
