It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote. We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible. We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time. Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free. Sites are behind a gated entry, on the other end of 40 acres from the main property which makes this location feel like you are dry camping in the scenic desert. The land is natural and flat, lending the area to great views of the surrounding mountains once you are setup. The sites were a bit too close but understandable given they've run full hookups to every site. Electric was solid, water pressure was plentiful, and no issues with the sewer connection. This made our 7 night stay very enjoyable, having the freedom of city water and easy dumping... with the scenery, quiet, and calm of dry camping way out in the desert. Anthony and his wife were great hosts, met us when we arrived and showed us to our site... then we didn't see them for a few days until someone else arrived.

It was a relatively private spot, and flat. The view out our back end, facing West, was spectacular, especially at sunset. All utilities worked as stated. Plenty of wildlife, javalinas( look like boars, but no big teeth. You still don't want to make them angry. We had a family of ten come thru most mornings. Very much worth it.

What a lovely and well curated oasis just outside Saguaro National Park for a couple nights stay. The hot showers were wonderful, everything in the common bathroom area was clean and I loved being able to look around the little mercantile. Michelle and Kim have put a lot of work into this place and it shows. The other campground hosts were lovely as well. Absolutely would stay here again when in the area!
