2 nights at Dark HollowThis campsite is so easy to camp at. Danny has Dark Hollow so well setup, maintained, and organized. The property has everything a tent camper looking for a creek spot to leisurely explore.
We tent camped for 2 nights. I have a small car, which allowed me to pull right up to the campsite we chose, named “The Ledge.” We had a fire pit, picnic table, immediate trailhead access, and a view I dream of waking up to always.
We spent hours exploring the creek, laying out in the sun, birdwatching, and more. The trails are easy to follow, however, you need hiking boots. I would say the trails we did were easy with moderate-difficult areas depending on how far you decide to go.
If you are someone who loves simple outdoor camping, book a few nights at Dark Hollow. There is an outdoor propane powered shower at the top of the campground, an outhouse toward the bottom/middle, a spigot for utility water, and trash cans. There is an option to add on firewood; I didn’t have to haul bundles of it in my tiny car.
Oh, man. We had the best time here.
I highly suggest Dark Hollow for tent campers who want to explore outside of public parks.
Thank you, Danny, for sharing such a special place.
