We are a working aquaponics farm, located in Marion Co Georgia. From maps it shows that we are about 13 miles straight line distance from Columbus Georgia. That would be true if you could drive through Fort Moore. You cannot so we are actually about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. The drive is pleasant with very little traffic. Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm/general store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, free WiFi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore. ** We are in rattlesnake and copperhead season. (SEP - OCT) Please be mindful hiking on warms days and evenings towards dusk. ** The store is not open at this time, and the Greenhouse is available by request. Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below). Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up. Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times. Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site. Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away. The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile. Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site pretty easily. The property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly. Meeting at the front of the property is not needed, just drive to your hipcamp and set up 🙂 Please message me about any concerns! About us: My wife and I bought this property in 2020 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. We plan on building a home eventually and have cleared out our homesite. We had an amazing time. It was supposed to be a quick overnight stop. We got in late, 10pm. We had little mix up with the site. James & Lisa came right out. Took great care of us and even helped us get hooked up. The next morning came over to check on us too. Amazing hosts. Very attentive and kind. Then the location.. in the daylight is amazing. We all had fun taking the golf cart to see the animals and through the trails. The amenities were clean and lots of hot water. The property is beautiful and fun. Will definitely stay here again. 1 night at Piney Hills Campground

Fantastic little campground with extremely helpful hosts. Here’s what I liked about it. There was lighting, but not too much. Sites were roomy with a small fire pit, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill. The individual bathrooms were clean, warm and convenient. A hot shower was great to get after a long day on the road. It was quiet with a few outdoor country sounds, like owls, a dog in the distance and a rooster at sunup. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed here for a few weeks and would HIGHLY recommend it! It was very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The only downside is the shower (it’s outside, and the hot water runs out quick). Samuel is a fantastic host and was very quick to respond if I ever needed anything.

This place is very peaceful and quiet. There is not much light, so the stars are stunning. There is an outdoor shower and bathroom with hot water. The road to get there is all grass but smooth if you go slow. We only stayed for one night. They do allow pets off leash which is nice!

Weekend Trip to Gullatte Acres

It was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Well, the finish sucked because we had to leave. We pitched our tent next to the pond, had a shaded seating area next to our fire pit. Bathroom and shower were a short walk. Fishing was peaceful and the jon boat was super fun to go out on and fish. Super quiet. Plenty of firewood, FREE. Early check in and late check out was lovely. We didnt feel rushed at all. If you forget anything (like leaving your day 1 dinner in your refrigerator at home), there is a small grocery store as well as a dollar general within 5 minutes. All around an awesome camp site! I want to go back, SOON! thank you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us!

Weekend Trip to Blackbird Farm

My 2nd time here and I’m so thankful I chose the same spot. I didn’t get to explore the trails the 1st time, so it was a nice treat this time. Charity is a wonderful host and I couldn’t ask for better! We love the isolation and seclusion of the site. It is right off the highway and is a little busy during the day with traffic but it tapers off late afternoon/evening and maybe a few cars between then and the next morning. There is a tree line, so it isn’t wide open to the road. Passer bys can only see the porch lights at night through the trees. We felt completely safe, even the first time I stayed with just my girls and left the hubs at home. We really enjoyed the cute little eggies and their little carton Charity left for us. Bathrooms were good and nice hot water. All in all, we were glad a weekend away from the kids and a visit with my brother was enjoyed at Blackbird Farm.

Weekend Trip to 20 acres for Private RV Camping

A hidden gem only minutes away from FDR! As much as I love GA State Parks in general and FDR in particular - I won't camp in FDR as long as this wonderful place is available. Exactly as described: you have the entire campsite for yourself. Peaceful and quiet! At the same time, you don't feel lost in the wild: there are other houses (nearest is maybe 2-3 hundred yards away, you can't see it, but you know it is there) and you can still drive to Warm Springs for your morning coffee. FHU worked perfectly, the site is flat and easy to back in. You may want to bring a flashlight because it is dark at night. Also bring outdoor table and chairs is you wanna sit by the campfire.

8 nights at Piney Hills Campground

Great location and site. The animals are friendly and provide a great soundtrack to your stay. The site included a raised, wooden tent pad which was great. There are a good amount of trash cans available and the area is incredibly well maintained. The outhouse is in great condition and provides enough hot water for a good shower while the laundry facility provides an incredible resource and a free outlet. I felt very safe and had a wonderful experience. 10/10

1 night at Pine And Oak Campsite

We have visited this site before and it was clean , well stocked , and the host was very responsive. Sometime you find something very special and in my opinion , this is special. Lots of time and effort has got into this site. The grasss is always cut, there is a trash can at your finger tips, a outhouse that has bug spray, stink spray , toilet paper and other items. The trail to walk your dog around is well kept and inviting to walk. The host takes pride in his site and truly wants to see folks happy at his place, they even left us a nice campfire treat.

Weekend Trip to Pine And Oak Campsite

My wife and I love the outdoors, but we love the feeling of being isolated, and for the most part Williams land feels just like that, we have no kids so I can not say if kids would like it but we do... the directions were fine and being near a family dollar and dollar general within 15 miles makes it 👌 to forget something and run up and get it. Love the lights at night, William did a very nice job on the site.

Weekend Trip to Camp in Camp Hill!

My wife and I were returning from a long trip to west Texas and stopped for a good rest at Emily's land- absolutely beautiful, peaceful spot with lots of solitude. Basically simply a large field with trees and a pond- perfect for us. Emily was delightful providing prompt and easy directions. Would love to come back again and spend some more time rather than just pass through!
