Great for echo cliff climbers!!
Prospector Ranch was a little slice of heaven for us after a long afternoon of climbing at echo cliffs! This is a great option for those who need a spot to camp out if all the campgrounds are booked. Only 20 minutes from the Mishe Mokwa Trailhead.
Meggan was so sweet and hospitable. Our experience honestly couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful, private campsite
This campsite had gorgeous views and amazing star-gazing. The site has water and electric hook ups and is immediately next to a small ranch with a unique saloon and lovely period-era decoration and landscaping. Meggan was a very responsive and gracious host. Both the humans and the dog camping loved exploring the property and enjoyed the mini-equines.
The campsite is located quite a distance from the main house on the property and is very private. The site is sloped, however, and we needed plenty of blocks to level our trailer.
The place has lot of privacy, in the middle of the ranch, very calm and peaceful. Megan was a great host all the time, making sure that we arrived and we were settled.
My only advice for future customers is that you need to have some experience leveling the airstream or RV as the ground is not completely flat. Apart of that is a great great choice!
Meggan was very welcoming and helpful. The hang out area with the old fashioned western feel makes you feel like you are somewhere special, and you are! A fun drive to the beach and to local breweries made for a good time. Would definitely stay again.
Don’t miss prospector ranch!
Meggan was a terrific host and made sure we had all of the information we needed prior to arrival. She went out of her to greet us and familiarize us with her gorgeous property. It starts with a saloon refreshment and pictures and then a quick tour of the accommodations. It’s also super close to the freeway while feeling dropped into a mountainous, rural setting. Tons of recreational options from hiking, wine tasting, bouldering, etc with the comforts of electrical hookups and potable water. The property and the owners are fantastic!
Meggan’s ranch is a DREAM! It was so incredibly peaceful and quiet - it definitely does not feel like you’re only 8 minutes from everything you would need in Thousand Oaks. Meggan is an incredibly attentive host and made my stay so comfortable. I would go back in a heart beat!
