This spacious, untouched land is located in the beautiful Butte area of Palmer, right off Walling Road (address: 18748 Walling Rd). No signs, no frills—just you and the wild. Camp your way: • Choose your perfect spot—under the trees, in the open grass, or tucked into your own little hideaway. • Self-contained rigs are welcome (RV, camper, van, tent). • No hookups, no amenities. Just nature. • Pack it in, pack it out—please take all trash with you. What makes it special: • Direct access to Jim Creek ATV trails—ride straight from your site! • Excellent nearby fishing and wildlife spotting—moose are regular guests. • No designated pads—freedom to roam and set up as you like. • Campfires allowed, unless there’s an active State fire ban. Awesome quiet camp

Great quiet camp in a grassy meadow. Quick communication for details and easy set-up. Dry camp. Limited Verizon service. Starlink works in the middle of the meadow.

Great little spot for some dry camping. Was quiet, private, and we even saw a mom and baby moose one evening grazing through the field.

Nice and quiet space. Beautiful open meadow with a view of the mountain behind. There are no designated camp spots just find your own way and when the grass is high it was difficult to see what you might be driving into.

Cozy and out of the way

It was hard to find. Had to ask a neighbor where the address was. Didn't end up staying. The grass was overgrown and I was afraid to turn my camper around. It was a beautiful set up though. We would have stayed but it was too far out for the appointment we had the next day. When we called the host they didn't answer

Boomdocking in the Butte

Lovely location for boondock camping. Flat areas to set up rigs and tents. You can smell the horse farm next door and hear the racetrack but we weren't disturbed by those. There was even a big bull moose that hung around. There are some low branches that will scratch up an rv but regular vehicles were fine.

Rough gem in the woods

Exactly as described. This site is a field, surrounded by trees. No traffic noise, only an occasional small airplane overhead. We stayed in mid-June, grass was very high but easily trampled down. Field is approx. 25x150 yards, OK for small Class B, C, or small travel trailers. Tents too. 15 minutes to town so great basecamp to explore the area. Our dogs loved to roam and explore the area. Would definitely stay again if we get back to Alaska. Thanks Rikki
