This clearing is a hard surface, and is along our track, so some traffic should expected.
We are situated within easy reach of Newport Pembrokeshire and the Pembrokeshire Coast. There is plenty of local walking through woodland, moorland on the Preseli Hills and on the coast.

Head west through Wales to the coast and somewhere by the south east corner of Ireland is the beautiful region of Pembrokeshire. Halfway between the smallest cathedral city in the realm and the site of the last invasion of Britain by their Gallic neighbours is the idyll of Sir Benfro. Once in Trevine or Trefin, there is a long bumpy lane with no tarmac. Watch that sat nav go into the blue, and you too can be Ar y Mwny.
Make your camp nestled on a gentle hillside, with panoramic views of the sea and countryside. Located just about as far away from any roads as its possible to get in this part of Pembrokeshire, yet still only a short walk to the coast via footpaths.
Being situated amongst several hundred acres of farmland, we not only have inspirational views but also the blessing of unobstructed sunrises and sunsets, followed by a wide open starscape.
Its possible to take the wildlife for granted, but across the seasons we can delight in the bird flocks, and casually greet the resident buzzards and foxes and the family of Jac y Do that have raised their young here over several decades. And now, the little birds are managing to flourish too. We live here in harmony, and are thankful for the space. Forget that clock.
For each pitch there is:

The space
Waunbayvil camping is set in its own secluded spot on 40 acres of private wildland and woodlands in the Pembrokeshire national Park, with a pond and views of the stunning landscape. It is the perfect getaway, a place to re-connect with nature and your loved ones in the most peaceful place away from it all. This is not a big campsite with lots of other people, you can book the whole campsite for a private group, or otherwise, only 2 or 3 families very spread out at a time.
The pitches are set out with plenty of space in between. There is parking for cars or campervans, and the camping area itself is not accessible for vehicles, making it a lovely car free space with nothing but nature all around you. You will need to carry tents and equipment up to the camping area., only around 100m from the parking area. (We have a wheel barrow for you to use)We also have a small hard standing area for campervan.
There is a compost loo, a washing up area, and an off grid shower shack. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, teaming with wild life and filled with wild orchids and many different species of grasses and wildflowers. It is unique and a treat for people who love natural habitat. The sea is about two miles away where there are spectacular cliff walks for many miles on the Pembrokeshire coast path, and beautiful beaches for swimming.
Bring logs and kindling with you. (Can be bought from any garage)
If you bring a cool box we can top you up with frozen ice packs. Just ask.

We had a fantastic stay. John the campsite owner was incredibly helpful, recommending local highlights and even put us up in one of the yurts when the weather turned. A real highlight is the viewpoint from the rock across the lighthouse and ocean. Highly recommend this site.

We loved our stay in The Bunker at Glan y Mor! The bunker itself was spacious enough for the two of us, warm, and the bed was very cosy. It was stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and the wood stove inside was a nice touch. Its location on the campsite also made it feel more private, which was great. The firepit outside the bunker and handy access to firewood really added to our stay.
The campsite is nicely landscaped and set out, and maintains a natural woodland area. The amenities are well laid out, well maintained and high quality. The radio playing ClassicFM in the toilet block was a nice touch. There is a communal fridge and firepit, as well as other basics such as a kettle. The campsite was quiet - we had no issues with noise even though the site was busy throughout our stay.
Cath and Adam were friendly and responsive, welcoming us to the campsite and recommending us nearby places to visit.
The campsite is within easy walking distance within the centre of Pembroke Dock, and is also centrally located to a range of points of interest in the region, making it a great base during your stay.

Lovely, well appointed camp! Great facilities and hidden gems to discover once you are there! Pizzas are delicious and a truly magical spot looking towards the Priselli hills. Spa was delightful, pigs are friendly and the hay bale barn was a big hit with the kids! Highly recommend.

We did a spot of tent camping in Dai’s field. Plenty of space available to just rock up and pick your pitching spot. Views of the sea and cliffs were incredible with easy trails to the cliff/beach area.
Portable toilets were plentiful and clean and running tap water was available. There was also a decent looking shower although we didn’t utilise it.
Dai was friendly and let us know that we could call him at any time if there were problems on site. Also texted us with exact coordinates for the entrance which made finding it easy, although it’s a bit of a tight turn in from the small country road!
Local area was stunning and many cool places are within driving distance. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Quiet and comfortable site. The pitches are a good size and the views were great. Facilities are good and big. Norman, the owner, is a lovely chap and really helpful.

Me and my wife went for the first time and, as first time campers in South Wales, the experience was lovely.
The our pitch was bigger than we expected, the check in process was painless, the view was incredible and I am missing the silence already.
Oh, and the home made pizza was excellent, even if the wait was longer than expected (through no fault of theirs, there were more people than usual ordering)

Really nice facilities that are close to the campsite and lovely woodland walks on site and offsite. Very affordable for what is on offer. A private feel in a sometimes busy site and very lovely castle nearby!

The campsite is in a great location. The toilets and showers were excellent and very clean. However would have been nice if they were more central rather than outside the main site. Would still recommend however.

Open and natural space, which felt safe as the kids ran around. Facilities were all good as described. Some areas/facilities looked perhaps old/tired, but overall generally clean tidy with warm, friendly staff/owners.

Beautiful surroundings. Nice and quiet and by a lovely little stream that we could play in.
The facilities were great too. Clean shower block and washing up area, there was even a kettle and a fridge! We loved our stay here.

We loved staying at this little campsite, such a quirky beautiful spot. Our daughter especially liked all the little hidey holes that were made by all the hedges.
Jane and family were lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Loved their beautiful dog Nells who was very friendly and loves to have a frisbee thrown for her.
We had the campsite to ourselfs which was a fantastic bonus. Compost toilet was kept clean and tidy as was the shower.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great location, easy access to the coastal path. Lovely big pitch, lots of space and privacy. Loved the fact we had a firepit with logs provided at no charge.
