Lovely campsite. I'd love to come back to Shortlands Farm. Great view from the pitch, nicely spaced so you've got privacy. Short walk from the beach and pub.

Peaceful spot

Lovely, peaceful spot. Camped in the field with electrics and had a huge pitch and glorious view. Our dog loved morning walks investigating all the tall grass. We enjoyed the pubs in Little Haven and Broad Haven was great to stock up on groceries. A gorgeous walk along the coast to Nolton Haven to the pub there for lunch. Walked a different beach every day, all within 30 minutes drive.

Beautiful location, peaceful campsite with good facilities. Close walk to Druidston beach and good location to get to other parts of Pembrokeshire. We will definitely be back!

Lovely location, great electric pitches well spaced out and good to see owners allocate space for the visitor and to not try to cram in loads of pitches. My partner wasn't keen on the shared toilet and shower block (she prefers individual sex utilities) and given how many people may be on the site at anyone time (think school holidays) only 3 showers and toilets could be a problem. The only problem we had was that the persons on the pitch next to us had 5 or 6 large dogs, quite aggressive and constantly barking when you walked past. On the first day we walked past with our jack russell 3 of them came running out being aggressive and pushed over our dog, luckily they didn't bite but it did sour the first day of the holiday. Having spoke to the owner we got the usual 'oh there normally friendly' response, no apology - they didn't seem friendly when people walked past them always barking aggressively. We appreciate being able to take our dog camping and know this isn't really the fault of the site owners, just a shame that some dog owners behave like this (I think 6 large dogs on a camp site is pushing it a bit).

Good location, close to the beach with some lovely views. Camping field is very open with plenty of room but little privacy. The shared facilities were very clean and modern although in peak season I’m not sure if they would be adequate if the site was full (4 toilets, 3 showers). Although we didn’t meet the host, communication regarding our stay was good.

Overall the pitches are lovely and nicely spaced apart however from the electric hookup field it is quite a treck to the toilets (especially at night) and water taps. Toilets and showers were super clean can't fault that at all, would rather toilets and showers in separate areas but that's more personal preference. We had a lovely view up until the last 2 nights when 2 campervans were put on the pitch just the other side of the fence which blocked our view. We did leave a night early as unfortunately the wind got the better of us but that's no reflection on the site at all. We had a fantastic 6 nights and the area is absolutely gorgeous! Would recommend taking your time on the driveway as the potholes are rather large but if navigated slowly enough they weren't a big issue.

Fabulous location within walking distance of St Davids town (10mins) and the beach (15mins). A small to medium-sized campsite for campervans, tents, motor homes etc which means that all pitches are close to the showers, toilets and washing up facilities - all of which were very clean and good. Beautiful views out to sea. Dog-friendly.

First time solo camping with my dog

I had an amazing experience seeing as it was my first time solo with my dog. Great facilities and as a previous review said the nice campsites seem to have the nicest people. I loved the fact that it was noise to a minimum after ten. Amazing sunsets and a nice walk to Druidston haven which is a beautiful dog friend beach. Would highly recommend

It was a beautiful spot with amazing views. The toilet block was nice and clean and had all the essentials. The Pembrokeshire coastal path has some amazing walking and this campsite is perfectly situated to access that

Gorgeous campsite in a lovely location! Lots of space for our tent and surroundings, and views of the coast. Nice and quiet with only a few families / couples, and clean facilities. Will absolutely stay here again if we head to Pembrokeshire!

Overall, a good stay at this campsite with some beautiful coastal views and within a very short walk to the coastal path. Plenty of space and privacy for each pitch. The facilities were clean and adequate, but felt a little basic for the cost. It was pretty windy every night and wet for a couple during our stay - obviously risk of rain is a part of camping, but I expect the wind is fairly constant at this site given the coastal location.

Secluded sunset over sea haven

Off the beaten track this campsite is pure heaven. The pitches are big so you get a real private feel. The view is outstanding with spectacular sunsets and moonrise over the sea. Fire pits are provided at every pitch. The facilities are spot on with a unisex toilet and shower block including hot showers and freezer space for your ice blocks. Washing up area is always clean with recycling facilities. Dogs have a wonderful holiday here too 🧡🐾 Location is awesome with a 15 min walk to the wonderful Druidstone beach. Be sure to stop at the Druidstone hotel for a beer to watch the sunset. Food here is great too - make sure you book!! Kate is there if you need her which every time I’ve been there I’ve not had to as everything is so well managed in a hands off manner. Looking forward to our next visit already ⛺️🌅 🌊

Beautiful sea view

We loved camping on Shortlands Farm! We were very lucky with the weather (May half term) and had clear, panoramic views of the sea throughout our stay. Nearest beach is a 5-10 minute walk, stoney shore, sand for miles at low tide, great for looking for crabs in rock pools! Happily spent most of our evenings around the campfire but if you do want to venture out The Druidstone Hotel is the nearest restaurant but was fully booked for the week already when we arrived. Looked fancy! Nice pubs in nearby Little haven (lovely long walk along the coastal path next to the campsite or short drive) Facilities were great, directions clear to follow but satnav was accurate anyway. Bit of a sea breeze on the site so wrap up if sitting out in the evenings!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Shortlands Farm. It is in an ideal location and it has every facility you could need without being ‘over catered for’ - it still feels like camping! The owners have combined basic practicalities with style and imagination in the design of the toilet/wash block and it leaves the field unspoiled and spacious with uninterrupted views across the wonderful coast. Throughly enjoyed our break away. Reasonable walking distance to nearby towns and farm shop. Lots of space between pitches and in field. Clean and adequate toilet/shower/washing up facilities. Overall would be happy to recommend and return if back in the area.

Just returned from 5 nights at Shortlands farm, everything was spotless and close to several fantastic beaches, the closest being a 15 minute walk from the site, will definitely come back and highly recommend.

Could only get in for 1 night but will definitely be back!! Most generous pitch area we’ve stayed in! Very private and so clean there!! Facilities were always spotless and the owner helped us jump start our van with a dead battery which got us back on the road😁. Short walk to the beach which was beautiful. We will definitely be back.x

We've just returned from a week at Shortlands and would recommend the site with fantastic views, generous pitch sizes and lovely quiet beach within a short walk. The toilet and shower facilities were well maintained and clean with lots of hot water, with freezers for your cool box freezer packs and electricity to recharge phones, etc. The other people staying (17 pitches in total) were all well separated, and there was a very friendly vibe to the place. The weather wasn't particularly kind to us, it was mainly overcast and you are exposed to the wind here, so perhaps bring a wind break if you're coming and make use of the fire pits provided with each pitch.

Small campsite with generous pitch sizes arranged around large open area ideal for families. Lovely sandy beach a short walk away and easy access to coast path. Quiet roads, ideal for cycling. Owners were welcoming and helpful, facilities kept clean and well thought out recycling. Had a great holiday and would recommend to anyone looking for a coastal site. Despite no electricity at the pitches, there was a charging station in the facilities block which was most useful.

I stayed 5 nights at this site and was very impressed. The location allows views to the sea and fabulous sunsets. Each marked pitch gave loads of room and just 17 pitches on the main camping field. It was thus a laid back and quiet site. The bathroom facilities were always clean and there were more than enough showers and toilets. I never once had to wait. Effective recycling. Covid safe. There's a path that leads down towards the sea and it's a short walk to one of the few beaches in St Brides Bay. Plenty of walking is available of course on the Pembrokeshire coastal path. All the supermarkets are at Heverfordwest which is 15 minutes in the car. Great comms from the site owners. I would have loved to stay longer but there wasn't availability which is hardly surprising as the schools had broken up. Would I return? Definitely.
