Secluded camping, campfires, coast and country.
Head west through Wales to the coast and somewhere by the south east corner of Ireland is the beautiful region of Pembrokeshire. Halfway between the smallest cathedral city in the realm and the site of the last invasion of Britain by their Gallic neighbours is the idyll of Sir Benfro. Once in Trevine or Trefin, there is a long bumpy lane with no tarmac. Watch that sat nav go into the blue, and you too can be Ar y Mwny.
Make your camp nestled on a gentle hillside, with panoramic views of the sea and countryside. Located just about as far away from any roads as its possible to get in this part of Pembrokeshire, yet still only a short walk to the coast via footpaths.
Being situated amongst several hundred acres of farmland, we not only have inspirational views but also the blessing of unobstructed sunrises and sunsets, followed by a wide open starscape.
Its possible to take the wildlife for granted, but across the seasons we can delight in the bird flocks, and casually greet the resident buzzards and foxes and the family of Jac y Do that have raised their young here over several decades. And now, the little birds are managing to flourish too. We live here in harmony, and are thankful for the space. Forget that clock.
For each pitch there is:

The space
Waunbayvil camping is set in its own secluded spot on 40 acres of private wildland and woodlands in the Pembrokeshire national Park, with a pond and views of the stunning landscape. It is the perfect getaway, a place to re-connect with nature and your loved ones in the most peaceful place away from it all. This is not a big campsite with lots of other people, you can book one of 3 seperate fields for a private group, or otherwise, only 2 or 3 families very spread out at a time.
The pitches are set out with plenty of space in between. There is parking for cars or campervans with nothing but nature all around you. We also have a small hard standing area for campervan.
There is a shared compost loo, a washing up area, and an off grid shower shack. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, teaming with wild life and filled with wild orchids and many different species of grasses and wildflowers. It is unique and a treat for people who love natural habitat. The sea is about two miles away where there are spectacular cliff walks for many miles on the Pembrokeshire coast path, and beautiful beaches for swimming.
Bring logs and kindling with you. (Can be bought from any garage)
If you bring a cool box we can top you up with frozen ice packs. Just ask.

Hello and welcome to Llwyn Celyn’s “Mehefin Coed” and a little bit of paradise, we really don’t want to share.
June and I (Laurence) Tree hope you enjoy your stay in our vintage motor home, parked up in a setting that invokes (we hope) the off road country lane hide away meets beach and secluded back garden feel.
Llwyn Celyn – Like hundreds like it, is a small holding, a farm of some 12 acres, these days it is still farmed, though very quiet with only the sound of sheep from our family folk, and is set midst a small hamlet of ten other holdings.
Llwyn Celyn’s “Mehefin Coed” is situated in the heart of Pembrokeshire’s National Park – The Preseli Mountain Range and birth place of Wiltshire’s “Stonehenge” and their blue stones, to which the quarries can be seen and walked to a few minutes away from Mehefin Coed.
From our pictures, we hope, they give you a sense of relaxation and to forget the World outside away from our part of the UKs wonderful Pembrokeshire.

Quiet location though centrally placed to many tourist attractions , Folly farm, Oakwood, Wake park, Llysfran dam and many more, as well as the beaches Amroth 5 miles, Tenby and Saundersfoot 9 miles. The boutique town of Narberth is a mile or 20 minute walk. The nearest bar is a 10 minute walk to Noble court. We offer electric hard standing and grass pitches as well as non electric pitches, children’s playing field and walks around the fields.
We also welcome pets at a small charge per day, with responsible owners and encourage to use the fields to walk their dogs.
Our facilities are new and offer showers and toilets, toilet disposal, fresh water and recycling. We also now have a kids play park, to be supervised by adults. The views over the Preseli mountains are stunning, which will enhance your holiday.
We do have a few rules, dogs on a lead at all times, quiet time from 8pm, no loud noise after 10 pm. Young children to be supervised in toilets and the children’s play park
People which persistently break the rules will be asked to leave without a refund.

Loved our stay at Ar Y Mwny. The perfect mix of wilderness and simplicity, but with the luxury of flushing toilets, hot showers and plenty of communal fridge and freezer space.
Our host, Norman, was lovely and made us feel really welcome. He’s got the balance just right, relaxed and unfussy, but with everything you actually need.
The location is superb, nestled between rolling fields with stunning sea views, and only around 10 minutes from the historic city of St David’s. There are so many beautiful beaches nearby.
Our personal favourite was Solva, where you can swim in the beautiful estuary and spend an afternoon with the kids crabbing. We also had a brilliant time catching waves at Newgale.
One evening we headed to Porthgain for the best fish and chips ever, followed by a few drinks at the Sloop Inn and a game of football. Pretty perfect.
If you’re into no visible frills but plenty of simple quality, this is the place for you.
We’re seasoned campers, so we don’t need much, but Ar Y Mwny gets the balance absolutely right.
My only recommendation would be a sign at the end of the lane… although perhaps the added elusiveness is exactly what makes it special!

My dog and I had a wonderful stay at this campsite . It was peaceful, quiet, and felt wonderfully remote—the perfect place to relax and switch off. Norman was welcoming, and the facilities were spotless.
There were fridges and freezer with plenty of room, a locker for charging phones, lights… (and bonus was watching the swallows going in and out the washing block )
Each pitch felt like its own little private pocket, giving plenty of space and privacy. Having a water point and fire pit at every pitch was a fantastic touch and made our stay even more enjoyable.
Lovely walks from the campsite and nice pub in the village.
We’d definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil camping experience.

We loved camping here. The pitch sizes are very spacious and divided by longer grass giving you some privacy. The pitches were in a circle with a playing field in the middle with goal nets. My girls absolutely loved this and I was able to watch them play safely.
Tea and coffee was offered every morning with help yourself service.
There was a lovely area to sit with free WIFI ( if needed).
Shower and toilet areas were clean.
There was a little shop if you need milk etc.
We will be definitely be visiting again next year and for longer.

Beautiful quiet location for walking the coastal path. A sign at the end of the track might be handy although the directions were very good. Sites felt quite private. Fresh water available, contained areas for evening fires were available, 3 showers and toilets. Decent kitchen. Nearest pub for evening meal 0.7 miles walk. Good value.

Spacious, great fields to walk the dog.
Well stocked shop / reception that is open until 10PM so it’s great for a last minute stop with wifi that works across the whole site.
Good location as a base to explore Western Wales, we had a trip to st David’s and Haverfordwest and close by areas.
Toilets, showers, washing up station were well maintained.
Would stay again!

We had the most amazing time staying here! The site was absolutely beautiful and very welcoming, both the onsite facilities were kept very clean and tidy. It’s a 20 minute drive to Pembroke castle and many other places worth visiting, I highly recommend this campsite and will most definitely be back again soon.

Cleanliness 10/10, site vibe 10/10, friendliness and helpfulness of owners 10/10. Such a beautiful site, especially the woods. Loved the relaxing music in the toilet, the communal kettle, fridges, and communal campfire area. Downside is location as its overlooked by what looks like the old school sportshall which was playing loud music on Saturday morning (possibly dance class?). Also random loud distant noises at 3am like a tannoy and loud rumble poss from the docs? Wouldnt go again for this reason as its not what we were looking for, but speaking to other people there they loved it. Also I recycle everything I can, but didnt enjoy having to take my non recyclable waste off site and look for a public bin, though I understand its probably to encourage irresponsible people to recycle more.

Private pitches, fire pits and water tap on every pitch, showers, toilets, fridges, phone charging, microwave and washing machine and tumble dryer. 15 minute walk to Abercastle and the coastal footpath. Easily the best place we have camped! Kids loved the trampoline. Easy going relaxed atmosphere. I literally cannot praise this campsite enough 😃
