June and I (Laurence) Tree hope you enjoy your stay in our vintage motor home, parked up in a setting that invokes (we hope) the off road country lane hide away meets beach and secluded back garden feel.
Llwyn Celyn – Like hundreds like it, is a small holding, a farm of some 12 acres, these days it is still farmed, though very quiet with only the sound of sheep from our family folk, and is set midst a small hamlet of ten other holdings.
Llwyn Celyn’s “Mehefin Coed” is situated in the heart of Pembrokeshire’s National Park – The Preseli Mountain Range and birth place of Wiltshire’s “Stonehenge” and their blue stones, to which the quarries can be seen and walked to a few minutes away from Mehefin Coed.
From our pictures, we hope, they give you a sense of relaxation and to forget the World outside away from our part of the UKs wonderful Pembrokeshire.

The space
Waunbayvil camping is set in its own secluded spot on 40 acres of private wildland and woodlands in the Pembrokeshire national Park, with a pond and views of the stunning landscape. It is the perfect getaway, a place to re-connect with nature and your loved ones in the most peaceful place away from it all. This is not a big campsite with lots of other people, you can book the whole campsite for a private group, or otherwise, only 2 or 3 families very spread out at a time.
The pitches are set out with plenty of space in between. There is parking for cars or campervans, and the camping area itself is not accessible for vehicles, making it a lovely car free space with nothing but nature all around you. You will need to carry tents and equipment up to the camping area., only around 100m from the parking area. (We have a wheel barrow for you to use)We also have a small hard standing area for campervan.
There is a compost loo, a washing up area, and an off grid shower shack. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, teaming with wild life and filled with wild orchids and many different species of grasses and wildflowers. It is unique and a treat for people who love natural habitat. The sea is about two miles away where there are spectacular cliff walks for many miles on the Pembrokeshire coast path, and beautiful beaches for swimming.
Bring logs and kindling with you. (Can be bought from any garage)
If you bring a cool box we can top you up with frozen ice packs. Just ask.

Other things to note
40 acres of meadows, wildlife habitat and woods which guests are welcome to roam. You can walk down the track and visit the artists gallery and shop in the big blue barn.

We had a fantastic stay. John the campsite owner was incredibly helpful, recommending local highlights and even put us up in one of the yurts when the weather turned. A real highlight is the viewpoint from the rock across the lighthouse and ocean. Highly recommend this site.

We did a spot of tent camping in Dai’s field. Plenty of space available to just rock up and pick your pitching spot. Views of the sea and cliffs were incredible with easy trails to the cliff/beach area.
Portable toilets were plentiful and clean and running tap water was available. There was also a decent looking shower although we didn’t utilise it.
Dai was friendly and let us know that we could call him at any time if there were problems on site. Also texted us with exact coordinates for the entrance which made finding it easy, although it’s a bit of a tight turn in from the small country road!
Local area was stunning and many cool places are within driving distance. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Me and my wife went for the first time and, as first time campers in South Wales, the experience was lovely.
The our pitch was bigger than we expected, the check in process was painless, the view was incredible and I am missing the silence already.
Oh, and the home made pizza was excellent, even if the wait was longer than expected (through no fault of theirs, there were more people than usual ordering)

We loved staying at this little campsite, such a quirky beautiful spot. Our daughter especially liked all the little hidey holes that were made by all the hedges.
Jane and family were lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Loved their beautiful dog Nells who was very friendly and loves to have a frisbee thrown for her.
We had the campsite to ourselfs which was a fantastic bonus. Compost toilet was kept clean and tidy as was the shower.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

WOW! We have just returned from a 3 night stay, and I’m hesitant to write this… only because I don’t know if I want the world to discover this little haven we will now forever adopt as our own, BUT that would be selfish, and Peter deserves all the recognition for the pure love that has been poured into every detail of this little, beautiful campsite. The site is well taken care of with little trails that lead you to little secluded spots and to the larger field that is immaculately conserved with trees surrounding the space. We recommend you use an app that helps you identify all the birds because the bird song there is truly wild, loud and varied. There is a lovely little lake at the bottom of the site that is being preserved for the wildlife, with so much activity to be witnessed even in the short time we spent walking around it. The toilets are regularly maintained and super clean. The showers were hot, clean and in a separate block to the toilets. All brought together with a really well designed aesthetic as well as made incredibly functional. Both carry through the eco ethos and are stocked with environmentally considered products in case your own dont fit the bill. Peter (aka Grumpy Farmer who is an absolutely beautiful soul) was always on hand to come and help if need be, always seemingly working on the site on more beautiful features, projects that work with the campsite, like food banks, community growing and forest school. We will return. Yearly.

Lovely patch of tranquility with the sound of the water and nextdoor horses neighing every so often. A very quiet area with minimal traffic so you can fall asleep to the sound of nature every night✨
The camping area itself is well kept with lots of space for all sorts of configurations for all your camping set up needs. The pond is gorgeous too for those brave enough for a dip but there's also a bench for those of us who simply enjoy just looking at them.
Dennis was a wonderful host throughout it all I cannot credit him more for being so fabulous and patient! He went out of his way multiple times for us just because he's a great bloke and gave us some great recommendations for local things to do.
We will be back again for sure! I had the most wonderful birthday trip in this little slice of heaven :)

What a view! What a friendly host and what a location!!
Simply can’t fault our stay here. Well organised, great atmosphere, fantastic facilities including washing machines, showers, hair dryers, dish washing area, even a wetsuit wash!
Coffee and pastries available in the morning, perfect start to a day where you can explore the coastline literally from your front door.
We walked round to visit the beaches (2 of which are dog friendly).
Will definitely return here again.
