This spot was fantastic! We had a great time and saw a great sunset. Everything was well planned with a fire pit and hammocks available. Anna also offered us some wood which was super useful. Will definitely come again.

Fabulous back to basics site with plenty of space and wide choice of pitches from the depths of the forest to open spaces with fire pits.. Plenty of walks from the site including the Sandling Way. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing surroundings inside the forest area. I’d definitely visit again however the toilet situation is underwhelming. Probably would not come back till they sort that out. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time at this campsite. It was incredibly relaxing and hassle-free. The site is quite basic, which was perfect for us because it felt like we were wild camping with just a few basic amenities. There are numerous camping options, as you can pitch your tent pretty much anywhere you want, and there’s ample space, so you don’t feel cramped among other campers. The facilities are minimal, but they’re all well-maintained. Everyone working there was helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be returning!

The best camp site I have been too, the host Sam was super friendly and the fully wild camping in the Forrest was absolutely stunning, super peaceful and very clean facilities. I will definitely be coming back to this site.

Weekend Trip to Elham Treehouse

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin over the Easter holiday. It was warm, cosy, and tastefully decorated,.There’s a BBQ area outside so we had a lovely BBQ. Mark was incredibly nice. he brought us fresh bread every morning, which was absolutely delicious! When it was time to leave, he even gave us a lift to Canterbury. Such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I’d highly recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful woodland back to basics camp, was the only person there so really felt like I was wild camping. Toilets are a couple of portaloos which is fine, and there’s a water tap. Wood was somewhat expensive but not a massive issue. Great place to hammock camp! My only real downside is that it’s quite close to a road which is fairly active so you get the noise from that. Being from London I dont mind that so much however. Would camp again!

I had a great experience camping in Holistic Wood Camping. It really felt wild camping. As a fan of wild camping, it is a perfect place. There are plenty of hiking routes where you can see old trees and forests. Sam was very helpful and informative who you can talk about various topics.

2 nights at Holistic Woods Campsite WILD

I really liked the simplicity of this camp site. Everything was clean and even the basic facilities were decent. Didn’t need the water but good to know it’s there. There’s a shower block being built which will be a good addition. Once you arrive you can pitch up wherever you like. There’s a meadow or the woods. We pitched up in the woods, had a slab delivered to protect the ground and off we went with our fire. We were met by Sam when we arrived, lovely bloke and then hardly saw another person for the 2 nights we stayed and were left completely alone which was awesome! Theres lots of spaces in the woods to pitch up and it really did feel close to wild camping. There’s plenty to do all within 30 minutes of the camp site including beaches and plenty of shops close by if you drive. Some people have commented about the road noise, which you can hear but it’s not really a drama, after about 9pm and before 8am there’s hardly any traffic, absolutely not a deal breaker. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful place to camp, the relaxed nature of the host and being allowed to pitch more or less where you’d like really adds that wild factor for anyone looking for a bit more of an off road experience. Really good location in terms of shops not too far away and some beautiful walks nearby. Would definitely return

1 night at Elham Treehouse

Went for a weekend with my partner and it was really fantastic. you really feel isolated while town is just a short (ish) walk away with a great restaurant. the property is superbly well kept and Mark is a great host, always looking out for us. The treehouse itself is very cosy for two and stocked with board games, books, and binoculars which was a detail we loved. There is also a amazing loaf of bread which we were sent in the morning. when I say amazing loaf of bread, I mean a big block that smells like a bakery all on its own both my partner and I were singing its praises for hours on the train home. highly reccomend.

It was a pleasure to stay at the holistic campsite. To camp inside a forest is a rare treat. With the bonus of fire pits to use outside the edge also. Sam was a great host. He was very welcoming and informative. I look forward to camping in the warmer weather and hopeful to bring the family too when the shower block is completed.

Loved it here. Stayed for 2 nights. Really nice way of camping. Back to basics. 2 choices, in the woods or on the open heathland. No pitches just choose a spot. Spent 2 nights under the stars with a fire going. Perfect. Sam is very friendly and helpful. He will even deliver you some seasoned wood for the fire for a small fee which helps the cause so highly recommend that. A really good idea they have going on so will definitely be back.

Great camping spot! We were the only people there but Sam was very helpful. Great to be able to camp within the trees.

We absolutely loved our trip! Wonderful scenery and mark is a brilliant host. The cabin itself was beautiful and cozy, not a bad word to say about anything. If you’re considering it as an option I’d thoroughly recommend you go for it :)

Back to nature! Hard to find a decent woodland to camp, this one's not huge, but it's peaceful and secluded. And the moblie loo was clean. My two pooches had a blast running around.
