There is also a host of National Trust sites within a short drive including Sissinghurst Castle and many wonderful villages to visit including medieval Biddenden and the magical market town of Tenterden. Next to junction 8 of the M20 there is also Leeds Castle, only a 20 minute drive from Far and Away and the Big Cat Sanctuary is only a few fields away. At night you can hear the roar of the wild cats really making it feel like you are Far and Away!

Tranquille camping spot in the beautiful woods. My allocated pitch was very secluded and perfect a weekend break away from the concrete jungle. Check in was easy and informative, pre ordered logs and firefighters at reception for me to collect. Plenty of large wheelbarrows to ferry equipment to the pitch. Yellow trail walk was closed promptly informed via email and given two alternative routes. I am a female solo camping and felt safe at all times. Would thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful campsite that is a great balance of rustic and off-grid (no WiFi or electricity on the pitches) and creature comforts with amenities such as flush toilets, shower with hot water, washing up stations and communal kitchen with a little gas hob and fridge. We were two families with 3 kids ranging from 2-7 years old and they loved the little treehouse/platform, swings and badminton court, not to mention the firepit for s'mores and the gigantic space to run around. With Whitstable, Canterbury and Margate a short drive away, there are lots of options for day excursions and for picking up provisions, while West Blean and Thorden Woods great for hiking - the kids loved seeing various animals and finding all the little dens along the trail. We will definitely be coming back!

What a beautiful campsite! Absolutely loved the meadow vibe and views across to the Cathedral. The site staff are friendly and welcoming. Loved the on site shop and pizza oven. The washing facilities are excellent. From a practical perspective, the pitch was flat and plentiful. Great to have a place to have a fire. It’s the fens so it’s flat and exposed so clever pitching to avoid winds are recommended. Can’t wait to come back.

And the rest is all Mother nature! There is no running water or drinking water. You will need to bring your own. No electricity points or WIFI are in the campsite and no masts nearby so enjoy the EMF cleanse. Whether you chose to stay in the ancient woodland or the herbal pasture, you will feel the benefits of reconnecting with yourself in nature, breathing the clean air and hearing the birds singing. The parking is 800m away and there is minimal tractor use so you can imagine yourself roaming the fields and forest of England in days gone by. Fitness required.
