We are a wild campsite with character and history. Our most popular pitch is our beautiful SSSI woodland. There are only 25 pitches available. We have a mid wild pitch on the outskirts of the woods, lovely grassed area between trees. Our top field is perfect for motorhomes & caravans. Plenty of space to breath and relax. Located on the stunning heathlands of the Sutton Heath. We are surrounded by beautiful woodland walks, including the Sandlings walk and just 10 minutes from the river Deben. We have a bus stop at the top of the track and Melton train station is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. There are access points onto public footpaths, leading to Rendlesham Forest. A famous site for UFOs! Sutton Hoo is a stone's throw away. Bring your bikes and explore the area on wheels. There is water access and portaloos. We do not have showers yet. Blue/grey waste must be taken away. LEAVE NO TRACECome camp with us! we are a WILD campsite in the heart of an SSI in Suffolk. If you like walking, we have access to lots of walking routes. We are on the Sandlings walk, located right next to the famous UFO site Rendlesham Forest and opposite the popular Sutton Hoo burial ground . You will enter through our Pink gates and be led onto Holistic Woods Campsite! what you see in front is yours for the picking! In front you will see the woodlands. 25 pitches in the woodlands. This is open camping so you go where you want. I recommend in the tree lines to witness the Deben sunrise. Also 40 grass pitches. Again, you pick where you like. Follow the signs! There are signs to the water source. STRICTLY NO CAMPFIRES IN THE WOODLANDS. If you are responsible and ensure all fire precaution's are in place you can have one on the grass pitch. Off ground only. An We welcome BBQ, same guidelines as above. You can park your vehicle near your tent on the grass pitch. wheelchair user to a degree. If you drive to your desired grass pitch, lots of areas are firm enough for wheelchair use. We have sanded tracks suitable for mobility scooters. We have portable toilets. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on the lead/controlled. You will be greeted by one of the team. We are a campsite with history and character.
