Penn Meadow Farm is a beautiful 145 acre, family farm, nestled perfectly into the Chiltern Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. We’re just a 5 minute walk across our grassy fields to the oldest free-house pub in England (The Royal Standard of England)
Say hello to our resident alpacas, sheep, pigs, pigmy goats, flock of 250 sheep and of course our lovely boarder collies.
We aim to be a very relaxed spot to be able to rest for a few nights and maybe enjoying a nice camp fire in the evening.
The site includes;
Showers and Toilet block with toilet paper stocked.
Open family pitches for you to choose where you want to set up

Fires allowed but must be off the ground
BBQ's allowed
To ensure everyone’s enjoyment and safety, please follow these rules:
Supervise children: Always supervise your children and ensure they do not wander off alone.
Clean up after yourself: Dispose of all waste properly in the designated bins and leave no trace behind. Wash any items you use and return them to where you found them.
Respect other campers: Be courteous to fellow campers and respect their privacy and space.
Pets: If you bring pets, ensure they are well-behaved, kept on a leash or have impeccable recall, and cleaned up after. Do not allow your pet to enter another camper's space.
Quiet time: Maintain quiet hours between 10pm and 8am. All music must stop by 10pm, and noise should be minimal after 10pm.
Campfires: Penn Meadow Farm allows fires; but must be kept off the ground in BBQs or firepits. Fire pits are available to rent from check in. Never leave any fires unattended and ensure they are completely extinguished when finished.
Cars/vehicles: Cars and vehicles can be on the field but should move minimally and always under 8mph. Car stereos should not be used for music entertainment.
We do not typically book Large non-family groups unless they are seeking a calm and peaceful stay. These groups must have authorization prior to the visit.

Created for Glastonbury Festival's fallow year, this new pop-up campsite is designed to bring people together in a friendly setting, welcoming friends, couples and solo travellers alike.
We have a woodland sauna, a communal campfire (acoustic music is encouraged), badminton and table tennis. Please note the sauna is an additional cost.
Nearby there are lots of beautiful walks and the Ardingly reservoir offers a range of water sports (8 minute drive). The famous bluebell railway is also within walking distance.
Please be aware there is no mobile service at the campsite, which we see as a good opportunity to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature. There is limited Wifi onsite if necessary.

We are a small, friendly, family-run campsite set in the High Weald area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a perfect base from which to explore the beaches, castles, ancient woodlands and towns like Rye, Battle and Hastings.
Dogwood is in the pretty village of Brede, and is walking distance from two fine country pubs.
We are surrounded by stunning countryside where you can take your dog for a short stroll across the fields or go for a long romp through the woods and valleys. Or just sit and relax, listen to the birds and soak up the peace and quiet.
We are fortunate to be in a 'dark sky' area, perfect for long, relaxing summer nights around the campfie, sipping hot chocolate, toasting marshmallows and spotting shooting stars!
During the summer our site is a popular spot for families and campers visiting nearby Camber Sands sandy beach and year round we welcome all different types of campervan, motorhome and caravan.
We look forward to welcome you to our little slice of paradise.
Please note our strict 'no group' policy - we only accept single families, single couple and single campers. No more than 2 adults in any group, even on separate pitches.
Please bring your acoustic guitar or similar but, as this is a quiet site, please no radios, stereos or videos unless you're using headphones. The birdsong here is incredible by the way!
Very wet weather and winter – please note in the off-season, and if very wet, the camping field is closed to vehicles, replaced instead by semi-hardstanding areas or our summer car-park area. Facilities are open but please be prepared for the vagaries of the weather, leaves, puddles and mud. To change pitch please let us know asap so that we can try if possible to find you another. Apart from the car-park, pitches can get very muddy in prolonged, heavy rain. If you are not prepared for these eventualities please do not book.

Our 7 acre property is a mixture of woodland and meadows with a fresh water spring and several fruit and nut trees. It is wild and mysterious with amazing sunsets and we are just a stones throw away from Shotover Country Park, which is the real Narnia. C S Lewis lived on the edge of Shotover woods and so we can fairly assume that Shotover is the inspiration for the Narnia trilogy. Shotover Country Park is one of Oxfords best kept secrets and consists of 280 acres of freely accessible woodland and open countryside. It is a paradise for dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists and also has natural sandpits for children to enjoy.
We will be offering woodland rides from this location in 2026 as we need to do some fencing work first.

We had a fantastic stay on Charles’s land! Charles was a wonderful host—incredibly friendly, welcoming, and full of great local tips. We loved the freedom of being able to pick our own spot without rigid, designated pitches. A group of 10 of us enjoyed time together camping in this idyllic setting. The wild deer and birds of prey seen in the nearby field were nice.
The extra touches like games and hammocks were an added perk.
Wheelbarrows were needed for the walk to the pitch to carry our heavy stuff but it was all doable.
Myself and friends liked to go to a Pilates class at the gym and with a cafe on site but away from the field was a great facility to grab a coffee and pastrie.
Charlie’s communication was good and he answered our questions.

Camping at Penn Meadow was a lovely experience, I loved that we could pitch up wherever we wanted. The checking in process was clear and relaxed. I enjoyed the beautiful landscape and access to gas stove and kitchenette was great as there has been a ban on open fires due to drought. The showers were very nice and clean. The walk to the The Standard of England pub was very picturesque and convenient. Thank you for the hospitality.

The campsite is safe, clean andwholesome.
My parents who are not fans of camping had a beautiful time and we'll all be back again.

Really awesome campsite. Beautiful surroundings, chilled vibe allowing you to pick where you want to camp with no designated camping bays. All the facilities you need and well maintained. The host was excellent and whilst we did experience noise from another group, who didn't follow the rules on quiet time, this was dealt with professionally and kindly. We will definitely come back. Fabulous site. Peaceful and calm. Charlie is a great host and responded to our messages quickly. The showers and toilets are very functional but you need to be the outdoorsy type to appreciate their rusticness! We stayed here and walked to Chessington World of Adventure and will definitely be coming back. The train station was also a nice walk (30 mins) through the woods which took us straight into London. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful setting. The tents were set up inside so comfortably, shower and toilet block clean and beautifully rustic with gorgeous smelling soap and shampoo etc. Added bonus of having the firepit available with added safety precautions with current dry conditions. Great onsite cafe. So close to great walks and pubs too. Would very much recommend to friends.

Lovely camp site. The pizza van and kids woodland disco on Saturday was a happy addition. Camp had a lovely atmosphere and out interactions with the hosts and fellow campers were all pleasant. Something we were keen on from the listing was seeing the animals. The pig pen, next to the camping ground was easily found. However, it took a bit of searching to find the alpacas tucked away in a corner 2 fields away (my daughter wouldn't let us leave until we'd found them 😅).
The toilet and shower facilities were good, but not amazing. Cold showers one morning because the gas had run out certainly woke me up! 🤣
The shared kitchen was really handy (didn't need to pack the camping stove afterall). There was a large fridge for food and drinks. Then a stove, kettle, toaster, as well as tea / coffee making supplies. More than what we'd have expected.
We would happily come back again in the future. Thanks for having us 👍
