Tucked away in a secluded pocket of countryside, Nordic Glamping offers an off-grid retreat designed for those who seek peace, privacy and a gentler pace of life.
Our four beautifully handcrafted yurts sit within ten acres of unspoilt organic hay and wildflower meadow surrounded by ancient woodland, thick hedgerows, a bubbling stream, a weather-led newt pond and charming little bridges. There is a lot to explore!
This untouched, undulating landscape is home to thoughtfully designed, eco-friendly facilities: composting toilets, hot copper-headed showers, fresh running chalk stream filtered water and a covered kitchen and dining area. Shaded spaces for gathering or unwinding allow you to unwind and disconnect in nature comfortably.
Each yurt has been handcrafted by ourselves and contains everything you need for a cosy stay on site. Our handmade beds have comfortable mattresses and are dressed with organic cotton or linen bedding, wool blankets and super soft pillows.
Everything here is off-grid for a low as impact to nature as possible - although a reliable 4G signal is on hand for those absolutely necessary connections ;-)

Our beautiful handmade yurt is set amongst an ancient orchard on an idyllic smallholding, nestled between the Kent Downs AONB and Kent's spectacular coastline.
The smallholding itself is a slice of rural Kent with free-range chickens just a stone’s throw away, you’ll soon be making some fairly unique friends.
We have such a great location, Canterbury is just 10 minutes drive away and the trendy coastal town of Whitstable can be reached within 20 minutes.
Berty the yurty is 5 metres in diameter and comfortably sleeps 2 adults and an infant. Inside Berty you'll find a super comfy double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a cracking little wood burning stove, table and two chairs and a mini-fridge to keep those all important beverages ice cold. We'll make sure there are some essential local food items from the farm (bread, eggs, milk, butter) waiting for you when you arrive.
Outside you an outdoor kitchen space to cook, outdoor patio eating area, camp fire, as well as a composting toilet, hot shower and washing up facilities adjacent to Berty, which are exclusively for your use.
Berty is tucked away at the far end of the smallholding on the edge of a 20 acre accessible ancient woodland with bluebells flowering in the months of April & May. The small holding is home to free range chickens and other animals. Eggs are complimentary and we're more than happy to arrange for you to collect them yourself if you're in a 'hunter/gatherer' sort of mood as well as a loaf of bread, milk, butter and apple juice.
Our rural location is truly fantastic! You'll instantly feel the stresses and strains of everyday life disappear as you soak up the delightful Kent countryside and adjacent ancient woodland. The picturesque Stour valley is just down the road, Canterbury and it's cathedral are only 10 mins away and Kent's extensive coastline can be reached in less than 20 mins. Some delightful pubs and restaurants can be found in Canterbury, and you are spoilt for choice when it comes to top quality country pubs in the local area.

Barefoot Yurts has 2 yurts booked together. One a bedroom and the other a sitting room that has sofa beds. There is a log cabin kitchen and shower room which is fully fitted and equipped for most cooking needs with electricity. The compost loo is next to the kitchen exclusive to the yurt guests.
Barefoot safari tent is for 2 adults only. All under one roof is the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Off Grid.

Weekend Trip to Berty the yurty
I decided to book a spontaneous trip away for my girlfriends birthday and this Yurt was absolutely perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Great views, peace and quiet, you're left to your own devices and the farm itself is very close to nearby shops and main city centre which was a massive help for getting food in. Staying in a yurt was a first for me but I can happily say id do it again and definitely recommend staying here!
George is great as a host leaving eggs, apple juice, some bread amd butter for us upon welcome and is great with communication in case of any questions/concerns you might have during your stay. Excellent place overall, 10/10 stay!

The Yurt was lovely and well setup. Loved the lights and fire place inside to warm it up when it got cold in the evening. The site had chairs and a fire pit setup with wood available to buy which was great as we didn’t have to try and find some before arriving. Would really recommend!

We loved the cosy Yurt and the laid back atmosphere a lot! Animals running around the campsite is also a lot of fun, but close the yurt when you are gone or get a visit from the goats that eat what they can find!

Berty the Yurty is an amazing set up; the terrace area with the outside kitchen is gorgeous and where I spent most of my time, listening to birds and watching butterflies dance around wild flowers. Seating is well provided for with reclining wooden chairs (i don’t know the proper name for them) and a metal table and chairs which stay remarkably cool in the shade.
Hand sanitizer provided around the place and in the composting toilet for use before moving outside and across to the sink for a proper handwashing is just *chefs kiss*
I don’t think that there is anything that hasn’t been thought of and provided for an awesome yurting experience here; and if you need anything then George and his team are very responsive via messaging (and I expect by phone and in person for the less shy) to bring more sawdust for the toilet, or eggs and apple juice from the farm that day.
If you have the opportunity to go then do! I’m so glad I did!

Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t have asked for more from Emma and Vidar (hosts) or the accommodation we stayed in (Hazel). Beautiful, clean and tidy site. Equally as pristine sleeping, cooking and toilet/shower facilities too. We stayed one night but will be back for more.

Weekend Trip to Berty the yurty
We had an excellent stay at Berty the Yurty. As we stayed in Dec, even the wood burner was on for our arrival and Roy kindly met us to show us around. The facilities are impressive given the outdoor nature of the experience and it really is a chance to unwind and disconnect for a few days. The fresh eggs, sourdough, milk and apple juice were a lovely touch and Roy was very helpful when we needed the chopped wood topping up! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Just back from a one night stay in the Ash Yurt as a family of 4. Absolutely loved it. Beautifully crafted accommodation with amazing attention to detail. Spacious inside, very comfy beds and the added bonus of a log burner.
Great to sit around the fire pit with the children, we had a perfect star filled sky.
It was an unseasonably chilly night (late Sept) but our thoughtful hosts had catered for this before arrival with extra thick duvets/hot water bottles and a supply of firewood - we were very snug.
Kitchen area is well stocked with everything you could need. Clean showers and toilets - a lovely site.
Great communication from hosts (thank you). Would love to come back.

Weekend Trip to Nordic Glamping at Botswicky
We had an amazing time in our Yurt and will definitely be back! Some much needed rest with little hassle and Nordic Ash is just what we needed. Bed is super comfy & the yurt is tastefully decorated plus added extras of lights, a battery pack, deckchairs, parasol, table etc / basically everything has been thought of! The kitchen has everything that you need but still great quality (especially loved the plates!!) & the compost loo & shower are clean and work well. The price is very reasonable & I really appreciated only being able to book a night (although would happily come back for more!) as many others have minimums that can make stays quite expensive. Logs & firewood was provided for the pit and even a buggy to pull your luggage. The walk to the pub was pleasant & quick, plus great food there too, even though there was the ability to cook everything at the site. Thank you for having us we will definitely be back!

This was the most perfect place during our stay in the South of England. Lots of privacy, everything was full equipped and the host was very kind. It was to bad that we only stay here for two nights. You're own (compost) toilet, shower, outside kitchen and a perfect view. By night de lights make it a peaceful place to be! We recommend this place to everybody.

My family and dog stayed here and we had a really special experience. We didn't initially realise that both yurts and the whole site was ours for our stay, so found it a real privilege to have so much space and privacy.
The yurts are really beautiful, with intricate hand painted decoration on the wooden structures. There was plenty of very dry wood for the stove, that worked very well and warmed the space quickly to take the edge off in the morning chill. The view is specular over the valley, with bluebells and trees providing the frame.

A lovely stay in the cosy Yurt. The hosts were very accommodating and a pleasure to speak to. In the height of winter we were toasty inside with the log burner and managed to cook food on it without any problem. Comfortable bed, it has everything you need. Highly recommended.

We had the most magical night away on the farm. The yurt is perfect - spacious but cosy, well equipped with thoughtful details. It felt remote despite being at the end of a chicken farm, with amazing views over the forest and great walks from the back of the yurt. We went in November and stayed toasty by the fire. It felt like a real adventure and we are already planning a return trip. Our hosts were flexible, welcoming and responsive. Thank you!

Beautiful accommodation, as cosy as can be at night thanks to the wood burning stove ( and duvet). Attached to the farm is a wonderful piece of Woodland with rare wild mushrooms and a sense of untouched wilderness. The hosts are very helpful and friendly and you do feel away from it all ( ie you cannot hear traffic noisee on A2, just a contented silence ). I felt it was excellent value for money. Highly recommend.
