We had the most incredible time at Charlotteâs campsiteâit felt like our own little slice of paradise. From start to finish, Charlotte was brilliant with communication, making sure we had everything we needed.
âThe site itself is stunning, boasting a spectacular view and massive fields. Our three sausage dogs had the absolute time of their lives here: Cabbage spent the entire day sniffing around, Chutney never tired of playing fetch, and good old Dinky was happily following them both. It was the perfect, safe space for them to explore.
âEven during an awful heatwave, this place excelled. Charlotte provided ice-cold water on-site, and thanks to the scorching sun all day, the huge bucket we brought along (plus our water bags) heated up perfectly. It meant we were even able to enjoy a lovely warm wash once the evening cooled down a bit!
âCharlotte also went above and beyond by providing extra equipment from the huts that we hadn't brought with us, including folding chairs and tables. To top it all off, the raised fire pit was wonderful in the evening for roasting treats and keeping us warm as the night set in.
âIf you are looking for a place to slow down, unwind, and focus on the small things, this is it. We couldn't recommend Charlotteâs site enough!

Another great stay at this amazing field. So very peaceful. Great walks and great time watching the red kites and thoroughly relaxing. Thanks for letting us stay and can't wait to come back again.

This was a beautiful piece of land on a hill with a spectacular view! It was the first camping trip for me and a friend, and we had a great time - just enough amenities to make everything straightforward, but not so many that it feels like glamping. There was a great supply of firewood, and the loo was very civilised.
The road leading up to the place is rather bumpy, so be wary if you have low suspension on your car!

Absolutely gorgeous site with lovely views and a quiet calming feel. Charlotte is a fantastic host and gave us a personal tour of the campsite which is generously large and spacious. The drinking water on site was delicious and the kids loved the swing. We will definitely be back again

If you like the occasional night getting away from it all in an âalmostâ wild camp, try Old Litten. Itâs quiet, secluded, you get it all to yourself and it has spectacular views of the South Downs.

A truly beautiful place to stay â so charming and full of character. And then thereâs Charlotte, the hostess: such a warm and welcoming person, with a genuine passion that shines through in her wonderful camper spot. The surrounding region is perfect for both walking and gravel riding. For food and drinks, head to the pub just around the corner (âThe Pub with No Nameâ aka The White Horse). Itâs incredibly authentic and serves excellent cuisine.

Lovely site for nearly wild camping, had the place all to ourselves, and the view was incredible. Charlotte was a lovely and helpful host, would definitely recommend.

Another superb stay. Charlotte's field is lovely with gorgeous views. There are some great walks nearby plus some good pubs on the way. Charlotte is super helpful and friendly,highly recommend this site.

I had a perfect relaxing night with the dog in the field. Very quiet and peaceful with excellent views and walks in the beautiful countryside. Beautiful sunrise. Would happily return. There was water, camping toilet, free parking, no fires.

One of the best places we have ever camped in the UK, unexpectedly spectacular location with beautiful walks, and wonderful to have the whole field to ourselves for kid and dog to run free in.

I love charlotteâs beautiful spot. Secluded, remote and thoughtfully looked after. The views from down the hill will never get old and the variety of wild flowers and plants are really nice. Nice pubs nearby and a supermarket is just a few minutes drive once you get off the track to the site. Thanks for hosting us Charlotte xx

We had a lovely couple of days! Charlotte was there to welcome me (partner and dog arrived separately) and got the tour of the site. She is so lovely and welcoming and made me feel right at ease.
Great spot, the views are amazing and we were lucky to have sunny weather. The amenities are pretty basic, the loo is a camping toilet but there is plenty of lovely cold drinking water and firewood provided which is a big plus!
We had a great time and our dog loved it as she could roam about without us worried she'll run off as the site is mostly fenced off.
Throughly recommend if you have a dog or just if you like seclusion with nice views!
One thing no note is the entrance is via a really bumpy track. Low cars are a no-go.

Lovely exclusive pitch with great views. The track leading to the site is quite bumpy and not suited to low cars but it is doable. Would recommend.

My wife and my dog and I had the most amazing time at Charlotte's camp. The views were amazing and so was our host who greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the land. The firepit's and logs provided was an added bonus and we will definitely be returning very soon. All in all a 10/10 couldn't ask for much more. Thank You Charlotte

Charlotte is a superb host, she met us on site when we arrived and gave us a tour of the whole site. She was fantastic with the children and made sure they found the swing which they spent a lot of the week on.
We stayed for 7 nights in this slice of heaven and were never disturbed. Charlotte messaged to check we were okay half way through the week.
Absolutely beautiful scenery from our front window looking out across the valley. The walks through the Ashford hangers really get your legs working.
So many great pubs to choose from as well, but you must check out the Cricketers on a Wednesday night with their stone oven pizzas!
All the items you need for a fantastic back to nature stay here and we will be coming back for sure!

Had an absolutely lovely long weekend at old litten site. Charlotte met us when we arrived and showed us around. Brilliant site, everything we needed for a nice break getting back to nature. There are lovely walks around the site and then longer walks around the downs.
Beautiful sunsets in the evenings sat around the fire pit.
This Is well worth the visit, we have already rebooked our next visit.
