Galla Designs Studio is located on a lovely 22 acre farm on the oceanfront, 5 km from the ferry. It featurs a beautiful artisans storefront with over 60 local artisans, food items and coffee. It is also home to the Belle River Post office. Please let us know if you need to arrive after 8pm. Please see parking instructions as there is no turn around in the main driveway. Also - the island has mosquitos so please bring bug spray. WIFI is available at the store. Please no generators from 10pm-8am (some exceptions may apply). To find us Google maps sometimes does not like wood Islands as our city so please use Belle River. About 50m just west of our main entrance to the farm and store, you will see a farm road that is marked with "1167 FARM" address sign. Please use that road to come in and just after the little wooded section it will open up and you will see a picnic table to your right. You can park in there. If you need help with anything, just call my cell phone 902-326-1015 Please note that there could be another camper if booked, so please park accordingly. Store is located in the small white barn next to the white house. The black building nearest the camp area is my parents house - not the store, so plesae do not walk in there. ;) lol **Google road and satellite photos are very old

Cottontail Cabin

25km from Panmure Island Provincial Park · 1 site
Escape to a simple off-grid bunkie tucked into the woods on a private oceanfront property in southeastern Prince Edward Island. This is a peaceful place to unplug, slow down, and enjoy nature. A short woodland trail leads to a quiet sandy beach that’s perfect for walking, swimming, beachcombing, or watching the sunrise. The bunkie is compact but comfortable, with a queen bed, small kitchenette, seating area, solar power, Starlink Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with a shower and composting toilet. Outside you’ll find a deck overlooking the forest and a vintage clawfoot outdoor tub with hot and cold water. Please note that this is an off-grid accommodation. Power comes from solar, so guests are asked to be mindful of electricity use. The setting is rustic rather than luxurious, and you’ll likely encounter birds, frogs, rabbits, foxes, and other local wildlife. Mosquitoes can also be part of the experience at certain times of year, so bringing insect repellent is recommended. If you’re looking for polished resort accommodations, this probably isn’t the right fit. But if you enjoy quiet mornings, star-filled skies, the sound of the ocean, and the feeling of having your own little corner of the woods, we think you’ll love it. We’re continually improving the property, and we’d be delighted to welcome guests who appreciate simple, peaceful places surrounded by nature. Raised bed veggie garden onsite to pick fresh vegetables or use our equipment to walk the beach and dig for clams, then pop into the nearby vineyard/winery to sample local wines. We are just a few minutes from the Wood Islands visitor center, local seafood restaurants, candy/ice cream store and liquor store, and an award winning Vineyard. We are a five minute drive from the Wood Islands ferry to Nova Scotia. Queen size bed, kitchen with hot and cold water, full sized fridge and freezer, single burner propane hot plate, standard size shower with hot and cold water—compost toilet. Gorgeous vintage outdoor garden bathtub with hot water in the garden. No ocean view or beach access but a charming sandy public beach is just 2 miles away.

80km from Panmure Island Provincial Park · 2 sites
In a quiet corner of Nova Scotia, where the fields roll soft and the brook sings its gentle song, two tiny cabins rest beneath the open sky. Field & Fern is a place where time slows, the air feels sweeter, and the world seems to hush just long enough for you to hear your own heartbeat again. Here, mornings begin with the glow of sunrise spilling across the meadow, warming your hands as you cradle a fresh cup of coffee on the veranda. Afternoons drift by in a hammock suspended between earth and sky, or wandering through wild grasses toward the whisper of nearby waterways. And when night comes, the fire crackles, the stars gather close, and the hot tub glows warm beneath the moonlight—just for you. Each cabin is a tiny sanctuary of rustic charm, a cozy “bedroom in a field,” built for dreamers, wanderers, and those who long for a quiet place to fall in love again—with nature, with each other, with the simple joy of slowing down. Field & Fern isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a place to soften, to breathe, to remember what peace feels like.
