LeTerrain features: 400 acres of (mostly) old-growth forest and wild terrain 5+ wetlands, ponds, and streams supporting rich biodiversity 10-20 km of maintained trails for hiking, exploring, and quiet wandering Some of the best panoramic views in the Gatineau Hills Official Dark Sky Preserve — exceptional stargazing with zero light pollution Totally off-grid (no power lines, no streetlights, no road noise) Dog-friendly — well-behaved dogs are welcome A small, intentional off-grid village of like-minded wilderness dwellers One of LeTerrain’s mountains is encircled by ancient stone structures, the focus of ongoing research and guided walks. Guests can join optional tours exploring these enigmatic constructions, their placement in the landscape, and the larger history of the region. 5 nights at Lakefront Glamping Retreat

This is our 2nd year coming back to Monique’s place. We love that spot. The water is amazing, clear and no weeds. It is a very private spot with lots of room to play and relax. A real gem at Otter lake. The tent is very roomy and the mattress is really good. Our dog was also happy with so much space to run free. There is quite a bit of board games to play with as well as aquatic stuff, kayaks and so on. There is even a fan in the tent for the hot nights. I cant have enough of your “peace of heaven”Monique. Thanks for everything! We’ll be in touch : )

Nice little spot for a rustic glamping weekend. The site was well maintained and had everything you needed. Just bring your food and enjoy. The waterfront was great and relaxing, the property was easy to navigate and the hosts were fantastic.

I can’t begin to explain how beautiful Agape Gardens are with carefully thought out landscaping , privacy, tranquility and excellent sites for camping or cabin stays. The warmth and generosity of Jennie and Jeremy and their delightful homestead made this stay all the more memorable. The wild spa with wood fired sauna and hot tub was fantastic!! I highly recommend a stay at Agape Gardens because the beauty and personal renewal it offers in a stunning setting is worth everything. A place to revisit for sure!!

Weekend Trip to Dog Friendly Cliffside Cabin

This was our first Hipcamper experience, and I honestly don’t think it could have been any better. Mike was an incredible host from start to finish. He made sure we had everything we needed, answered every question quickly, and genuinely cared that we had a great stay. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the experience he creates. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The land is incredibly well maintained, peaceful, and feels like a little hidden paradise. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The hiking trails were another highlight. They’re well marked, easy to follow, and take you through some stunning scenery. The hike to the private lake was especially memorable. Arriving there felt like discovering a secret little oasis—quiet, idyllic, and completely worth the walk. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. This was an absolutely perfect first Hipcamp experience, and it’s set the bar incredibly high. We’ll definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Agape Gardens | Nature Stays

Had a very pleasant stay at Agape Gardens. The tent is clean and nicely furnished. The sauna was relaxing and I highly recommend the delicious breakfast sandwich. It can get cold out there at night so maybe bring a sleeping bag. I'd also recommend a lamp or flashlight of some sort for the walk from the tent to the bathroom in the main house.

Beautiful land by the river. Chris and his family were the perfect hosts. We had the cabin for two nights and it was perfect. Everything in the kitchen for cooking was supplied and Chris also brought down a battery charging our cooler.

We had a very relaxing stay and Monique has thought of everything you might need. The spot on the lake is beautiful and the water was warm and clear. You really only need to bring bedding, food, and clothes. Everything else is there. Our dog had a great time in the lake. Found a great butcher and bakery in Shawville. Would definitely do this again.

Elizabeth is a very welcoming and thoughtful host. She made sure that I had water for drinking and ice for the cooler. Bug spray was available and there was even a power bank to charge the lights and my phone if I needed it. The bed was comfortable. I especially loved the setting under the trees and the hammock to relax in.

8 nights at Return2nature Retreat

What a wonderful stay at Deanna's place. Everything was above our expectations. The camp is fully equiped, the bed is super comfy from the mattress to the pillows. Fresh towels provided and and new one when necessary. Tap water directly at the camp. A cooler with ice in it was there as well. The tent is Under the trees wich is good to cool down a bit during hot summer. The access to the river was so enjoyable. All was there to enjoy the river kayak water mattress life jackets canoe. Deanna was easy to contact and text. She answered very quickly. She provided wood's and ice during the stay and we where here for 9 days. Deanna is a very lovely person who really care for her guests and make sure they get a wonderful experience. We will recommend for sure. And we already are planning to go back soon with friends or family. As well around Wendover you can go to see the vineyard Clos du Vully where you can have wine tasting experience with cheese and charcuterie. We recommend for sure. Their wines are delicious
