There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. Welcome to Cedar Creek Forest Camping! Voted second best campsite in Canada in 2021 and ranked number 2 in Ontario in 2022. I have 97 acres of very private camping. The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. We are a small hobby farm set within a mature forest setting. There are two, newly built tiny home bunkies that are situated in private areas of our property, yet close enough to our main house for security, Each bunkie has a modern outhouse with composting toilets and non potable water for washing Guests will have the opportunity to commune with nature as we have a multitude of bird species and there is always good possibilities of wildlife viewing, as guests stroll down the nature trails. There are plenty of very cool areas along the trail where guests are able to participate in forest bathing/meditation or can just relax and listen to the wind rustling through the leaves of the trees. We have a couple of very gentle horses on our farm, that if anyone wishes, can schedule a time meet them and do some therapy grooming. There is also a small flock of egg laying hens that are quite social. We have a small on site store, which has some beautiful wood crafts that are created in our woodworking shop. Live-edge wood tables/charcuterie boards and other beautiful pieces as well as a large display of gorgeous healing crystals and metaphysical items are available for purchase if that's your interest. We are less than a 10 minute drive to Bobcaygeon, where you can find the world famous Kawartha Dairy, scrumptious restaurants, specialty clothing boutiques, grocery stores and pharmacies. Sturgeon Lake is the predominate lake with fabulous fishing/boating/ swimming. A 20 minute drive will get you to Fenelon Falls, Buckhorn or Kinmount where you will find the famous Kinmount Movie Theater that have the latest movies available. The Canadian Rail Trail is also nearby for anyone that wants to do some biking/hiking.

The kitchenette provides basic amenities, including a coffee maker, a kettle, amicrowave and air fryer/convection/toaster oven. A 2-burner cooktop is available; there is no oven. Tap water is drinkable; however may taste different to those accustomed to town or city water. The kitchen opens up to an open living space featuring a spacious sofa, a large screen Smart TV, and high-speed Starlink internet. Enjoy a restful sleep, with each bedroom featuring a queen bed and a dresser. The modern 3-piece bathroom is both comfortable and highly functional, complete with a stand-up shower, vanity, towels, and basic toiletries. We absolutely loved how peaceful it was at the Cabin. We sat in the sun and just listened to the birds and wind through the trees - such a large space it was great for the dog and for lawn games. The host provides everything you need and more - the VHS and classic movies came in clutch on a rainy day. Its deep enough in the wooded areas to enjoy this serene environment, and the town with walking trails, lazy river and everything else you need is just a short drive away. Yes! The stars are big and beautiful - perfect place to bring a telescope if you have one!

My wife and I have been winter camping many times and this was our favorite cabin rental ever! It has been a great getaway and adventure for us and our dogs. We arrived with alot of snow and were planning to hike. Thanks to the hosts as they have snowshoes available at the cabin! We had a blast in the trails. The cabin's stove was perfect, kept it cozy and warm throughout the weekend. The well water with a hand pump was an added surprise and let me tell you how good that water is! We were both talking about it all weekend. Hosts were amazing, had fire going for when we arrived, took us to the cabin and after that it was just us. Perfect 10/10 for us as this is exactly how we like to camp. Will be back for sure.

We had an absolutely amazing weekend here, and Vanessa provided everything we could possibly need. The wood stove was easy to maintain and keep burning, and the locale was quiet and so gorgeous.
