Rent the Indoor loft space (zone 2), with 2x double air mattress, power, TV, fridge, dishes, air fryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, and hot plate. Power up your Van or RV (zone 1) with outdoor plugs, and park on the newly created flat drive area. For the more athletic, hike up to the cleared forest edge in zone 10 or get really rustic in zone 11 hike into the bush for some natural Bush floor camping. There is a table fire pit (propane) for you to use and enjoy responsibly; as Muskoka always has a fire ban on in the summer. There are 27 acres of beautiful Muskoka bush for you to explore and enjoy. If you’re feeling adventurous you can hike around the surrounding forest; stay within the property boundaries and you will discover the hydro cut and its valley view, the ravine, the waterfall, and a footpath that leads to a bridge at the back of the lot. Or simply just relax and enjoy the soundings and view from the sitting rocks. The public beach for swimming is a quick walk down Beach Road. It has a large dock, picnic tables, grassy area along with an portapotty. Or check out the sandbar and drop off at the boat launch at the end of the road. The lake has a diverse shoreline and perfect for small boats and kayaks. Welcome to Cedar Creek Forest Camping! Voted second best campsite in Canada in 2021 and ranked number 2 in Ontario in 2022. I have 97 acres of very private camping. The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin. Common areas for all cabins include: 1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.), 2) Freezer/Fridge, 3) BBQ, 4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water), 5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and 6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water. The large BBQ is equipped with 5 burners for the grill. There is also 1 side pot burner for foiling water and another ceramic grilling burner. Additionally, we have three tent spots available, with one designated for each cabin. There is ample parking space for guests. You can enjoy the convenience of a shower with hot water and a BBQ pit. Address is 261 Star Lake rd. Seguin. Its the second driveway when going north on Star lake rd. Look for a sign MAPLE RIVERS LANE. From Hwy 400, get off on hwy 141. Go east towards Rosseau. Turn left at Tally Hoe/Swords, then right at Turtle lake rd and left at Star lake rd. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. A beautiful Maple Key Park and sandy beach awaits you only 4 km from the site. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the nearby historic town of Orrville. Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! These 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. Fire wood is all around the forest Pick anything that is down and enjoy the common fire pit. Also a flashlight and some bug spray might help. We are a small hobby farm set within a mature forest setting. There are two, newly built tiny home bunkies that are situated in private areas of our property, yet close enough to our main house for security, Each bunkie has a modern outhouse with composting toilets and non potable water for washing Guests will have the opportunity to commune with nature as we have a multitude of bird species and there is always good possibilities of wildlife viewing, as guests stroll down the nature trails. There are plenty of very cool areas along the trail where guests are able to participate in forest bathing/meditation or can just relax and listen to the wind rustling through the leaves of the trees. We have a couple of very gentle horses on our farm, that if anyone wishes, can schedule a time meet them and do some therapy grooming. There is also a small flock of egg laying hens that are quite social. We have a small on site store, which has some beautiful wood crafts that are created in our woodworking shop. Live-edge wood tables/charcuterie boards and other beautiful pieces as well as a large display of gorgeous healing crystals and metaphysical items are available for purchase if that's your interest. We are less than a 10 minute drive to Bobcaygeon, where you can find the world famous Kawartha Dairy, scrumptious restaurants, specialty clothing boutiques, grocery stores and pharmacies. Sturgeon Lake is the predominate lake with fabulous fishing/boating/ swimming. A 20 minute drive will get you to Fenelon Falls, Buckhorn or Kinmount where you will find the famous Kinmount Movie Theater that have the latest movies available. The Canadian Rail Trail is also nearby for anyone that wants to do some biking/hiking.

We look forward to hosting you in our recently built cabin that is well equipped for you and yours to relax and get away from the bustling city life. This 4 season rental is ready to welcome you with a cozy open concept space where you can unwind after a day of hiking, canoeing down the Black River, or exploring the nearby attractions. The kitchenette provides basic amenities, including coffee maker, kettle, microwave and air fryer/convection/toaster oven. A 2-burner cooktop is available, however there is no oven. Tap water is drinkable, however may taste different to those accustomed to town or city water. The kitchen opens up to an open living space featuring a spacious sofa and a large screen Smart TV and high-speed Starlink internet. Enjoy a restful sleep, with each bedroom featuring a queen bed and dresser. The modern 3-piece bathroom is both comfortable and highly functional, complete with stand-up shower, vanity, towels, and basic toiletries. Two outdoor screened tent areas are available seasonally, one adjacent to the cabin and one located river-side. Guests have access to floating dock on the Black River, canoe and stand-up paddle board to use at guests' own risk. Water level fluctuates and no diving is allowed at any time. Please note, the dock, canoe and SUP board have been removed for the winter season. Guests will have access to the entire cottage. Lockbox code, where the front door key is kept, will be provided prior to check-in. Nestled in the forest on the lake, enjoy a relaxing, off the grid, up scale camping style retreat on an island in a small cabin with queen bunkbeds. Beside the cabin is a spacious outdoor screened in gazebo living space and an outdoor camping kitchen. In the evening stargaze while sitting around the firebowl. An outhouse is nearby that uses a sawdust composting system. Enjoy the lake while lounging on the floating dock, or get out on the lake in the canoe available for guest use. Our cottage is next door to this property and we have 2 older friendly dogs who roam the property freely and may stop by for a visit.

This is the perfect spot to relax and reconnect with nature, you can enjoy the water views from land or explore the bay on a kayak or paddle board. Perhaps you would enjoy a 21 km ride or jog on the Tay Shore Trail (3 min walk). We have a large sandy beach and water toys to use for free. My wife and I went there to stay the weekend, we loved that and we are definitely going there again! Angela and Arnold are awesome hosts! We felt super welcomed to their place. The place is lovely and seems that it has come out straight from a storybook, the birds that come at our hands, super relaxing and intimate. They have a nice bbq, the space is well organized and clean, and have everything that we needed to just relax without worries. If you are wondering if you should go there’s or not, take my word, you are gonna love it, please go. Wow! We came in mid October to see the autumn colors. What a great experience! First off the hosts are amazing and very helpful. The lodge itself is very comfy, the bed is super clean and comfy as well. There's enough firewood for the whole stay (2 Nights). Oh and our dog loved it as well! The place is around 20 min drive away from any nature hike, and there are plenty in the area. Highly reccomend

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

Derrick and Rachel's place is absolutely incredible! Such a great escape from the city! Its peaceful but also has options for activites like canoeing and swimming and games! They have everything you can think of from lighters to lamps! We will definately be coming back to stay!

Weekend Trip to That Place In The Woods

The cabin was great, clean and spacious. It also smelled amazing!! We had a bit of trouble with the hot water at the shower, but after finicking with the ignition and propane tank we managed to get it working. TIP: you have to make sure you successfully ignited the heater which can take a dozen tries. Turn the water on and wait for 30 seconds until a continuous stream of hot water comes out.

We really enjoyed our stay at the A frame! The space was cozy and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The setting was peaceful and made for a perfect escape into nature. Communication with our host was smooth and friendly, and check-in/check-out was easy. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet camping retreat!
