"Group Therapy" Site #2 w/lake view

Site 10 is not for the weak to access, but its doable in a car as well as long as its not after the rain. But the host said we can take any spot we like, cos it was not busy. Now about the camping spot, this is a great place to be with the stars, Lake nearby, tidy shower and the outhouse is clean. The campsite is away from civilization, which is amazing! The lake is swimmable, host was good and super friendly! Plus the drive from the highway was really scenic. Would of never taken that road if not the campsite, you simply drive right on the coast of the huge lake with the fancy cottages right next to it.

Beautiful spot here at Herman Lake. We had to cut our trip short so didn’t get to spend as much time as we wanted. It’s off-grid and quiet, so that needs to be the vibe you are looking for. The f you are an active person/family/couple, I’m not sure there is enough to occupy you more than a day or two. But if you are looking for a quiet place to just “be”…this is it. I hope to be back one day!

What a pleasure it was to camp at Herman Lake. We were in site #3 and loved how private it felt. Caitlin and her family were such welcoming and generous hosts, it’s clear they take pride in sharing their beautiful home and all it has to offer! We saw numerous wild animals we don’t usually get to see (beavers, moose, frogs, shrews, and turtles to name a few!) and spent hours paddling on the serene lake. We look forward to coming back again someday. ♥️ Thank you for sharing your wonderful space with us and making us feel like family.

Lakeside Lovers Glamping Site #8

Had such a great time camping here! The host took such great care of us and helped make our experience unique and memorable. We had a few opportunities to see some wildlife and our site was quiet and spacious. Would definitely recommend:)

10/10! Probably the most serene and peaceful place we’ve ever been. The lake is straight out of a painting and it’s perfect for swimming. Everything is very well kept, the outdoor shower is great. We were very charmed by the sheep, bees, gardens, and their dog Eena! Caitlin and her family were very welcoming and we are very grateful to them for giving us a taste of the dream life they are living. Can’t recommend this place more.

What a magically, beautiful location! Herman Lake looked and felt like a nature preserve, housing an abundant and healthy ecosystem. This land is home to moose, owls, beavers, loons, turtles, frogs and even fireflies! The sites are situated among the trees, offering privacy and shade. They have large sites for groups, individual sites for trailers/tents, glamping tents by the water, a sauna and water activities available for rent (canoe, paddle board and paddle boat). Caitlin was lovely and very accommodating for our last minute trip. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our campsite!! Lots of animal sounds, and we spotted a chipmunk or two, lots of huge dragonflies, and some bats as evening was falling!! Only downside was lots of mosquitoes and flies, but that close to a lake, what else can you expect!

We enjoyed our night here, it was very quiet and peaceful. We took the canoe out of the lake and went swimming, the water was perfect. We even saw fireflies after dark! Directions were clear and it was easy to find, would stay here again!

Such a cute and serene spot! The campsites are surrounded by trees. We saw beavers, snakes and fireflies. The hosts were incredibly friendly, the campsite and outhouses were well equipped with little sinks and very well maintained. Great place for a quick little getaway!

Herman lake‘s magical wilderness

We loved the nature and wilderness of Caitlin’s land. The lake is beautiful and the water perfect for a refreshing swim after the rough road (dusty gravel) there. There‘s plenty of wildlife, we saw many turtles and ducks. The campsite was pretty private, as there were bushes and trees around it. We recommend renting the paddleboat - we had so much fun!

"Group Therapy" Site #2 w/lake view

We had a wonderful two nights at Site 2. This is a very special place full of wildlife and the hosts are top notch. We are impressed by their stewardship of the land and wildlife and will be back again. We found two critter treasures and left them by the dino for your littles to find. Thanks for everything!

I grew up on ivy road and was eager to show my friends the beauty. Direct quote from our group "im seeing BC for the first time all over again." Everyone will be returning. Spent 3 nights on site 2 and it was absolutely perfect. Tip: take the eagle bay route up to the site if you want to avoid some backroading.

We loved camping on Caitlin’s land! She was so so sweet and informative, and there was lots to do and see(if only we had more than just an overnight!). Our site was right next to a sauna, and overlooked a cute little marshy lake. We walked around and checked out the neighbouring sites available, and they all looked really cute. Pets are allowed, we had our 2 huskies with us! There’s a coin shower, a dock, sheep, turtles, a playground, fire pits, an outhouse with a cushy seat. The sound of frogs croaking throughout the night:) highly recommend staying here, and we will keep them in mind for next time we visit out that way. Thanks so much for the lovely evening Caitlin!

Beaver-ly Hills Glamping Site #1

Well kept and thought out. The outhouses were very clean and we really appreciated the hand wash stations outside of the outhouses. It was quiet and we had a great view of the lake. My wife got to help with the beehives and we also ate lunch on the lake with our conoe rental. Overall a great weekend camp out.

We had an amazing time staying on Caitlin and Keith's land. They were so welcoming and helpful and even came to let us know that there were fireflies down by the water. The site was clean and beautiful and the outhouses were well maintained. We wished we would have been able to stay longer and will definitely be back!!

Epic levels of birds and frogs

Frogs were having a full moon singing rave!. Was awesome. Some owls joined in too. Not been many places where you can immerse yourself in that sonically. Vast array of birds up at this marshland lake at elevation and away from traffic. Lovely camp spaces. Nice outhouses.

The path to Lake Herman was an adventure in our (rented) campervan, but what a reward to stay at this campsite! Very friendly owners, great amenities and o so peaceful. We had an amazing stay! Cheers from Luxembourg, W & D
