Pisgah Forest Mountain Meadows

5 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Pisgah Forest, NC
This 5-acre parcel was part of a larger 17-acre tract/cow pasture that was for sale in the spring of 2017. We had moved to this beautiful quiet country road the year before after spending 15 years in the hustle and bustle of West Asheville. When our neighbor put the land up for sale, we jumped at the chance to protect our view (we live across the street) and own another piece of the heaven we have come to call home. This land has a creek running through it, and is in a quiet, rural, residential area that is a mix of newcomers and families who have lived here for generations. The property has a secluded feel to it while being very conveniently located to the wonderful hiking, mountain biking, and trout fishing this area is famous for. We’re also very close to cycle shops, outfitters, groceries, restaurants, etc. We love it here and are excited to develop our plan for this space. We hope you will love it here too.

Pucker Up Berry Farm is located at the bottom of Becky Mountain within minutes to Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and downtown Brevard. This property was uninhabited for over 75 years until recently purchased in September 2017. Since taking ownership, we have established a small farm and berry orchard to supply customers with high antioxidant fruits, vegetables, and berries. Hipcampers will enjoy the morning and evening chatter of birds, gorgeous mountain sunsets, and easy access to local forests, trails, and restaurants. A chicken pen and a few trees line the upper part of the site. The flower and vegetable gardens are above the campsite, and the 150' x 200' orchard extends up into the woods/mountainside. Guests are encouraged explore the orchard, gardens, and orchard perimeter throughout their stay. It is important for our guests to get an experience. We encourage you to pick a flower and put it in your hair. Or, maybe you want to cut a whole vase full of bright showy flowers and learn the components of a complete arrangement ($25/ in season guided tour). You should definitely harvest a head (or two!) of lettuce for a large salad at the picnic table. Ever caught a chicken? We want you to ask for the experience you desire. When you get here and see what berries or vegetables are in season, we will help you create a Pucker Up Berry Farm tent camping experience. We have lived in the valley of a farming community for 7 years now. We've been overwhelmed with the beauty outside our window. The view from your RV is acres worth of a working farmland surrounded by mountains. You might catch a farmer driving his tractor down the road, a person on horseback or a team of cyclist bike pass by. But you never know what surprise the sky has in store! Fortunately, we are a quarter of a mile from highway 64 that leads to everywhere, as in hiking, kayaking, mountain biking etc. We are centered between Pisgah and Dupont National Forests, Panthertown Valley, Bracken Mountain Preserve and Gorges State Park. We are in the heart of the cyclist route for all the major road bike races and less than 10 minutes from downtown Brevard, NC.
