All we ask of our visitors is: that whatever you bring in you take home with you, that you leave your campsite and the property the way you found it, and the only thing you take from here are pictures and happy memories.
All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water.
Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking.
Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September.

The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. I built this cabin to be a romantic, cozy off-grid getaway for humans , but if most of our guests are being honest, the dogs are the ones having the best time.
There’s a cozy queen bed with fresh linens and a down duvet. A covered deck with handcrafted rocking chairs for sunset views. A private fire area below for campfires and stargazing. Most of our guests tell us over and over, that their favourite part is watching their best friends make their own decisions, run the trails, sniff everything, chase chipmunks, explore the forest, and basically have the time of their lives.
Of course, the humans tend to enjoy themselves too.
The cabin sits on a west-facing cliff on our private 164-acre property. Once you arrive, you’ll have the feeling of having the whole place to yourselves. The trails, the forest, the quiet, the sunsets, it all feels wonderfully removed from the usual noise.
This time of year, the forest is waking up, and the property starts to shift into spring. It’s a beautiful season here, muddy in spots, full of fresh smells, birdsong, and that feeling that everything is coming back to life. For dogs, it’s heaven. For people, it’s a chance to unplug, slow down, and enjoy a kind of peace that’s getting harder to find.

The outdoor shower is only available during late spring, summer,r and early fall, only once there are no frost warnings.
During the colder months, we provide equipment for hand washing inside the dome. You will heat your water via the kettle in the kitchenette and have a basin to hand-wash.

We are very happy with our 2 night stay at Rae's camping site. We chose it because of all the available amenities. We were super glad with the place as everything was set up to give us beginners a sweet first time camping trial. It gave us a very fun first taste and we are excited to do more camping now :). Jennie has a beautiful property tons of private space. We brought our dog who had a blast running around. The spa was also very well put together and super relaxing. We had a very nice stay and would highly recommend.

Brien is super knowledgeable and welcoming. The canada day fireworks were postponed this year, and reschedule for our first night of our stay. We were welcomed amongst friends and family, with open arms, to watch the show over the water.
The plot is larger than expected and extremely well maintained. We will definitely be booking again.

My friends and I really enjoyed staying at this campsite and loved the proximity to the river rapids and lake. Although the campsites are close to each other there is sufficient room for all your amenities. Drinkable Water was available at the reception and was a small walk from the site. The host was really nice and held good communication. 100% would recommend if you enjoy the sound of running water and very pretty views!

We had a great time at the cabin and Mike was very nice and accommodating. Our dog had a great time being off leash and exploring. We do think the cabin could be a little bit cleaner. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Rae’s land and surroundings were absolutely beautiful - quiet, decently private and has everything you need to enjoy your time and relax! The water had enough access for fishing and some cool dips. Very cool concept for the outdoor darts and for the bathroom. Loved the ability to get crafty with all the woods and nature around. Will definitely be returning in the future. Big thanks to the host for the warm welcome and good vibes!

Me and a buddy just needed a place to setup camp for the night and this place was perfect for that. Eileen was very nice and friendly, and it felt like real woods camping but with the added benefit of some amenities. The bathrooms where slightly lacking but we where on the move so much that it wasn't really a problem. We would 100% stay here again!

Gerry is so friendly and funny! hipcamp experiences are even better when the host is as awesome as Gerry! he made sure we found the place alright and helped us start a fire with his “special sauce”. definitely want to come back!!!

Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle
Wander an hour west of Lac-Simon to the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve. Flowing with fish and diverse wildlife, campers are immersed in nature at every turn. Camping near Lac-Simon in summer months is ideal, with average highs around 25°C in July and August. Warmer weather guarantees comfortable access to beaches and warm water. Lac-Simon welcomes campers to visit for springtime blooms and fall foliage with cooler seasonal temperatures—average highs around 12°C and potential below zero drops overnight. When winter hits, expect consistent temperatures below zero, and it’s recommended to have cold weather camping experience before making the trip.
