The cabin is beautifully built and well-equipped. Mike's communication is excellent, he went out of his way to accommodate us, and he is a pleasure to chat to. The hiking trails are well-marked and the walk to the lake is beautiful, even in the late fall with barely any leaves left on the trees. We had an absolutely lovely, relaxing time at Mike's cabin this weekend. The cabin is the perfect blend of rustic and cozy, with many thoughtful little amenities that made us feel at home right away and eliminated the stress of packing compared to traditional tent camping. We were lucky enough to book with fall colours in full force and were treated to stunning sunset views both nights. With enough hiking trails and wilderness to explore to your heart's content, there was plenty of opportunity to mix in some adventure. We are eagerly looking forward to coming back soon and experiencing what winter at the cabin has to offer!

Rae is super kind and her cottage has everything you need for a good time! The river was beautiful and it was a great place to unwind. She was very communicative and understanding. Went above and beyond to stock the camp with toys and a play pen for my 15 month old son. Great time and we will be sure to return!

This bunkie caught the sunlight at all times of day beautifully, we were fortunate with good weather to spend a lot of time outside and on the porch :)

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is very cozy and warm, spacious, and equipped with most of the essentials needed for a comfortable visit. The kitchen, in particular, is very well stocked, which made our stay easier. The location is also wonderful—being close to the lake allowed us to enjoy swimming and kayaking in the mornings, which was a highlight. That said, there are some areas that could be improved. The cleanliness could be better—we found dirty plates and kitchen utensils, and the jacuzzi definitely needs attention. It had sand inside, a piece of a metal hanger, and its cover is deteriorating. The mattresses, pillows, and bed linens are also quite old and would benefit from being replaced, as the blanket felt rough on the skin. Additionally, there were no toiletries such as shampoo available in the shower. Overall, we had a great stay and even wished we could have stayed longer. With a few updates and improvements in these areas, the experience could be even better.

My sister and I had a wonderful time! Granted it was incredibly hot, but the cool swimming pond fixed that during the day and the fan in the cabin eased the heat at night. The cabin had a BBQ, camp stove, and firepit. Plates, utensils, kettle, cups, mini fridge, etc. Even the composting toilet was conveniently next to the cabin with motion sensor lighting. No stumbling around in the dark at night. You can't park at your cabin but the owner will cheerfully haul you and your gear to it, in his zippy UTV. There are also some gorgeous big dogs that roam freely around the forest grounds. If they see you, they may pop up for a quick pat, then mosey on their way. It was enchanting.
