Once you arrive, you’ll have the feeling of having the whole place to yourselves. The trails, the forest, the quiet, the sunsets, it all feels wonderfully removed from the usual noise. In summer, the forest is lush, green, and full of life. The days are warm, the trails are shaded, and evenings at the cliff often bring a breeze and a beautiful sunset. There are several kayaks available for guest use. The swimming and cabin area face south with all day full sun on clear days for the sunbathers. There are deer, rabbits, foxes, porcupines, birds of all kinds and sizes, butterflies, squirrels, and you may even see a lonely beaver quietly swim by after dusk and hear the howling of wolves in the distant hills while you're roasting your marshmallows on the campfire. If you love camping, but need a break from packing all the gear, our cabin will be a welcome change of pace. You'll have a soft queen sized bed, games, puzzles, books, futon, sofabed, and simple kitchen set up, with propane powered camp stove all while still being immersed in nature with lots of privacy. If you're new to camp style vacationing, but want to try something similar, you won't have to go without the comfort of a real bed, and you'll have the safety and coziness of the cabin when it rains. In the winter the wood stove keeps the cabin toasty. Besides our own 6acres, there are many gorgeous trails within a 30min drive from the cabin that make for great day trips and showcase the natural beauty of the area. If you enjoy taking drives in the country, you'll come across many scenic tiny villages, farms, casse-croutes/chip trucks, lakes, hiking trails, rapids and covered bridges. It's a magical place to explore, with our river cabin as the perfect home base.

What an awesome trip ! Rae has a cute little set up and everything you need to have a good stay. We overpacked because we weren't sure what she'd have, but let me tell you, she actually does have everything! My only suggestion for campers coming is to maybe bring your own chairs if you like something a bit more comfy than Rae has set up, but this doesn't affect my rating or anything - just thought that others might like to know! Thanks so much, Rae! We will definitely be back and will also recommend this place to our friends.

l absolutely loved my time on Mike's land! The tall trees, the landscape, the view... what an amazing feeling it gives you. Walking on the trails was definitely my highlight! Plus, Mike is really welcoming, available and ressourceful. Thank you for sharing your amazing place with the world!

Can't beat this view! Very rustic and secluded. Everything provided was in great working order. Mike the host was super helpful and a pleasure to chat with. Made everything super easy and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone who can handle walking up a couple hills. Only thing we wish we did different was book a couple more days!

Weekend Trip to Agape Gardens | Nature Stays

We really enjoyed our time at Agape Gardens. Everything was super clean in the cabin. The House of Leo was super cute and extremly private. We choose Agape Gardens for the close proximity to the luskville trails and would absolutely stay again. We also chose the firewood bundle which I high recommend, there was plenty of wood, kindling and paper for a 3 hour large fire for one night and having it right there upon arrival was so convenient. We arrived late and left early for the trails but there were so many amenities that I am already looking forward to my next stay. Thank you Jennie!

We had such a great experience staying at this cottage! Leah was incredibly responsive, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay, which made everything so easy and comfortable. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the quiet atmosphere. We would be happy to stay again!

3 nights at La Sôvageonne

We had a wonderful stay at Nathalie’s, in Jake’s Camp. I had seen a few reviews mention a lack of privacy, but that wasn’t our experience at all. There is a central field with a couple of other cabins and RVs, but the cabin itself feels very private. The windows open toward the forest, so from inside you’re surrounded by trees rather than looking out at other campers. And the stars at night were incredible. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot and a wonderful place to unplug and enjoy the woods. We’d happily stay again.

I came here with my two kids and we had a blast! Rae was so friendly, very kind, down to earth and accomodating. I booked last late and last minute, due to unforseen circomstances with another place. She got back to me instantly. Cabin was nice and cozy and perfect for the three of us. We had a blast exploring the forest, foraging for mushrooms, having a fire, relaxing. She has a sweet daughter, the kids played with. There is a river right across the street, and a breathtaking waterfall a 2 min drive away! There is wifi on site and a tv in the cabin. There is a zip up kitchen tent as well. Lovely cute place with great people. I made a new friend, and so did my kids. Will be back soon.

Note that the cabin itself isn’t very private, and there are windows on 3 sides (including at the bunks, and there isn’t a curtain on any of them) so it’s hard to change The google map result for the place is the correct place, just drive further into the gravel road to the very end There is a water jug for washing hands and drinking inside the cabin There is a jug to wash hands outside of the out house The stove is small and burns for around 1 hour when full fire kindling sticks work better than big logs for burning in it

Clean and comfortable cabin and facilities. We had a lovely time, although our visit was cut short (by a chronic illness, no issues at all with the camp). Rae's directions were spot on and we had no trouble getting there. We took a drive into a nearby town, a walk down the camp road, made dinner on the bbq, watched a movie in the screen tent in the dark :) Rae was warm and welcoming, and very helpful. We're looking forward to going back for some guided hiking!

Really nice spot, not too far from the nice scenic Lac à la Loutre. The cabin site also had space for us to set up a tent and hammock. Plenty of wood available for campfires every night and morning. Would definitely come back!

This is where dog heaven and human heaven meet. Beautiful setting, simple set up in the cabin, stunning forest and views, wonderful area to explore and lovely helpful hosts. I love a place where a few damp dogs aren't a problem AT ALL!

2 nights at Domaine Lockbøw | Private Waterfall

We had a lovely time staying at the Lonn cabin. It was a perfect set up in the tent with a nice sofa that became a double bed for the two adults, and the two children slept upstairs in the loft. We enjoyed the picturesque campsite, which was really like a little piece of heaven, and we also enjoyed going for walks with our dog, paddle boarding, and kayaking in the lake. The waterfall that fed into the lake was magnificent! Overall, I would recommend this place very highly.

I can’t begin to explain how beautiful Agape Gardens are with carefully thought out landscaping , privacy, tranquility and excellent sites for camping or cabin stays. The warmth and generosity of Jennie and Jeremy and their delightful homestead made this stay all the more memorable. The wild spa with wood fired sauna and hot tub was fantastic!! I highly recommend a stay at Agape Gardens because the beauty and personal renewal it offers in a stunning setting is worth everything. A place to revisit for sure!!
