Tucked away in the countryside of Lotbinière, this little wood-heated cabin offers a true escape into nature — with sweeping views over the St. Lawrence River flowing just below. It's a peaceful, private retreat where bald eagles are a common sight overhead.
Inside, you'll find everything you need for a simple, comfortable stay: a wood stove to keep you warm, a small kitchenette (mini-fridge, stovetop, dishes and utensils), a table, and a futon sofa that opens into a double bed on the main floor. Climb up to the mezzanine loft for a queen bed with its own quiet charm.
Step outside onto the small patio to take in the river view, or settle by the fire pit for an evening under the stars. A composting toilet is available on-site; showers are available in our house, just a short walk away.
The cabin sits about 300 meters from our home, fully surrounded by nature — giving you all the privacy you need while still being close to help if you need it.
Perfect for travelers looking for an affordable, back-to-nature getaway by the water.
The area is also a great home base for outdoor lovers — with nearby hiking trails, the river for kayaking and paddleboarding, and the botanical gardens of Domaine Joly-De Lotbinière just a short drive away.
Location: about 1 hour from both Trois-Rivières and Quebec City, and 2.5 hours from Montreal.

We loved staying at this cabin in the woods! There are beautiful trails for snowshoeing and walking all around the property with an amazing lookout spot. Luc was very welcoming and well organized with our stay! I would definitely recommend this stay to others.

ressourcer en nature dans le calme et la tranquillité. Ou I'on peut prendre notre temps pour faire les choses sans stress. Le chalet l'essence Ciel nous
permet d'avoir tout se qu'il nous faut pour être bien. Une mezzaline pour dormir, une grande banquette pour manger à la table.
Même que vous avez un cartable avec toutes les activités que l'on peut faire dans la région.
Cette fin de semaine. ma
permis de faire un bilan de 3
années de travail sur moi et de voir mon évolution de qui ie suis aujourd'hui.
La Terre du Retour en Soi est un bel emplacement. Je le conseil.
Une place où il va me faire
plaisir de retourner.

We had a wonderful weekend in this cozy cabin in the woods.
The place is peaceful and perfect to disconnect from everyday life. The cabin is really cute and comfortable, and we felt at home right away.
It was exactly what we needed for a romantic getaway, far from the city noise. We left feeling rested and already wanting to come back!

Our trip was lovely, relaxing, and recharging. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to regain peace and clarity in there life. Luc was a helpful and kind host who even hosted us over a bonfire on his property. We will definitely be back in the winter time. Merci beaucoup Luc!
