Located in the hamlet of Mosborough on 113 acres, this is a working farm with open fields, an old orchard, and 27 acres of forest. We are a short drive to Guelph Lake, the Elora Gorge, Guelph to Goderich rail trail, and a 25-minute drive to St Jacob's farmers market. And a 1.4 km walk to a small country market and bakery. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping. Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden. A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October. And please note that we are located beside an active rail line that is used by the Go Train, VIA Rail and freighters, there are trains that pass throughout the night. You can bring up to 7 trailers into each site for a multi-trailer experience. We have approx 15 km of groomed trails to hike, trail run, walk all through Bruce County. We are close to numerous quaint Ontario towns and villages offering shops, bakeries, restaurants and more. The Saugeen River is located very close to the properties and you can rent kayaks in Paisley and go down the river towards Lake Huron. Lake Huron is a pristine great lake and we offer great beaches within 20 minute drive... Our settings are perfect for small or large gatherings and are private and secluded. Unfortunately we do not offer water, septic or hydro so your trailer needs to be self sustaining. TRAILERS and MOTORHOMES are the preferred method of camping. Established in 1870 as a mixed farm for new immigrants to Canada to settle and begin their new life in Canada. In the early days the farm housed dairy cattle and pigs. Had pastures for cattle to graze and grew corn and wheat for cattle feed. In the 1980's the farm was rented by the University of Guelph to house their goat research livestock. Our family purchased the farm in 1998 to raise our daughters. The farm is located beside Trish's home farm, where she was a dairy farmers daughter growing up. Dean was raised on a beef farm. Dean & Trish meet in University studying agriculture. We began a beef business, and marketed our farm products through our website, www.whisperingmeadows.ca until we sold it to a young couple in 2016. Dean & I care about the land and the environment very much. Over the years we have have worked with the local conservation organization to plant treed wind erosion areas, improve farm drainage and grow crops using no-till practices. In 2010 we were awarded the Pasture Conservation Award by the Canadian Cattlemen Association. We take great pride in our farm and ensure it is managed using the best farm practices available. We are a short drive to Guelph Lake, the Elora Gorge, Guelph to Goderich rail trail, and a 25-minute drive to St Jacob's farmers market. And a 1.4 km walk to a small country market and bakery. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping. Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden. A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October. The Saugeen River is located very close to the properties and you can rent kayaks in Paisley and go down the river towards Lake Huron. Lake Huron is a pristine great lake and we offer great beaches within 20 minute drive... Our settings are perfect for small or large gatherings and are private and secluded. Unfortunately we do not offer water, septic or hydro so your trailer needs to be self sustaining. TRAILERS and MOTORHOMES are the preferred method of camping. Established in 1870 as a mixed farm for new immigrants to Canada to settle and begin their new life in Canada. In the early days the farm housed dairy cattle and pigs. Had pastures for cattle to graze and grew corn and wheat for cattle feed. In the 1980's the farm was rented by the University of Guelph to house their goat research livestock. Our family purchased the farm in 1998 to raise our daughters. The farm is located beside Trish's home farm, where she was a dairy farmers daughter growing up. Dean was raised on a beef farm. We began a beef business, and marketed our farm products through our website, www.whisperingmeadows.ca until we sold it to a young couple in 2016. Bring your own tents, trailers, or RVs.Nestled quietly from the hustle and bustle but close to amenities, this rural property with 2 ponds, horses, miniature horses and alpacas and a baby lamb, offers a relaxing retreat.  Water hookups are available. If you're bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles up to 42 ft in length and the site requires levelling.Some of the animals are friendly, others are shy.  For these reasons, and for personal safety, guests are not permitted to feed, pet or stick hands through the fencing without our direct supervision.  We want happy guests and animals.  We are happy to give you a tour and introduce you to the members of our herd.  Guests will have the opportunity to feed treats and pet the animals.No smoking on the grounds other than your campsite, please.  Also, please take any smoking materials discarded with you.  We don't smoke and don't appreciate butts littering the property.Sit back and watch the stars and fireflies by your campfire. Established in 1870 as a mixed farm for new immigrants to Canada to settle and begin their new life in Canada. In the early days the farm housed dairy cattle and pigs. Had pastures for cattle to graze and grew corn and wheat for cattle feed. In the 1980's the farm was rented by the University of Guelph to house their goat research livestock. Our family purchased the farm in 1998 to raise our daughters. The farm is located beside Trish's home farm, where she was a dairy farmers daughter growing up. Dean was raised on a beef farm. Dean & Trish meet in University studying agriculture. We began a beef business, and marketed our farm products through our website, www.whisperingmeadows.ca until we sold it to a young couple in 2016. Dean & I care about the land and the environment very much. Over the years we have have worked with the local conservation organization to plant treed wind erosion areas, improve farm drainage and grow crops using no-till practices. In 2010 we were awarded the Pasture Conservation Award by the Canadian Cattlemen Association. We take great pride in our farm and ensure it is managed using the best farm practices available. We grow a roation of corn, soybeans and winter wheat for food production. Ideal for a quiet getaway or short-term stay. High-speed fiber wi-fi is included allowing you to work away from the office.

We have those close by as well, and some wonderful restaurants. If you just want to chillax, there is plenty of space to do that as well. Our inground pool is a perfect way to cool off. She is super kind and hospitable❤️ The property is very beautiful and well maintained. The tent is warm and cozy, she actually gave us a heated blanket it was nearly freezing that evening She also told me that I can ring her up anytime if we need anything. So sweet of her 🤩 The place is very romantic and we loved it!

We had such a wonderful stay at Shiloh Barn! Jess and Mark were amazing hosts — super kind, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything. The glamping tent was clean, cozy, and had everything we could possibly need — utensils, washroom, tissues, even little touches that made it feel really comfortable. The barn loft upstairs with the string lights was adorable and such a nice place to unwind. We had a great time barbecuing, sitting by the fire pit, and stargazing late into the night. It was peaceful, romantic, and such a refreshing break from city life. Thank you, Jess and Mark, for sharing your beautiful place with us and making our stay so special.
