The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house. When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here. We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site. We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same. It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property. We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped. This tucked away property is just minutes from route 6, quiet, and just the right amount of wild. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night to soak it all in. There is plenty of firewood, room to adventure, and the views are amazing!

Attentive and Knowledgeable Host! My girls (and I) can't wait to go back, and we even had two very reluctant, first time campers, choose to stay the entire night! The property is lovely, the sites are great, plenty of firewood... what can I say...it feels like home, in the absolute best way!

We loved camping at Ronald’s place. Very quiet and secluded. We only stayed overnight, but had the choice of his space which was fun to navigate in our SUV (if you have air suspension would recommend to jack it up for better ground clearance!). Thanks for having us!

Weekend Trip to Archmage Sanctuary
We had a marvelous time! Who would have thought we would be tent camping at this time of year for our second anniversary? But Jessica’s site was a gem! Plenty of water, firewood, kindling. Loki greeted us and made us feel. welcome. We’ll be back!

Perfect spot! Feels like wilderness but there are actually houses all around. Plenty of hiking too. Read the other reviews on the driveway- it’s not that bad! Arriving by daylight advised.

Weekend Trip to Humble Farm with Simplicity
My son and I appreciated the care they took to help us get settled, we were able to get all our needs met- water, our dog ran free, wood for the fire and a nice bed when I couldn’t get the hammock set up! We will definitely come back in the spring.

Nice, communicative hosts- the campground had everything you’d want: fire ring, table, wood and kindling. The only thing to note is there’s no bear box yet so bring a canister. Great stay, thanks again!

Beautiful views, nice firepit and trees to park the cars under. Private and easy to get to off the road. There are beehives nearby, which would be important to know if someone has an allergy. Overall a nice place to camp.

We loved staying at this property! We enjoyed playing cards by the beautiful creek and taking walks on the property. It was a short drive from longer hikes, such as Fahnestock State Park, which we took advantage of. Bill and Stephen were really helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back again!
