Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. We are only 35 minutes from the popular skate trail and groomed cross country ski trails at Arrowhead Provincial Park and day-trip distance to Georgian Nordic, Wasi Ski Area and Algonquin Park. Our guesthouse is situated on an old Finnish homestead, on the traditional lands of the Anishinabek and Mississauga Nations. The property is a mix of field, wetland, small stream and forest, along with our active organic vegetable market garden. While the guesthouse is its own private accommodation, we live and work on the same property. We run Missing Link Adventures, focused on providing cycling retreats and farm fresh meal packages. This special little rustic cabin is nestled amongst 100 unspoiled acres of mixed forest with various walking trails on the property. It's the perfect place to unplug, unwind and completely connect with nature to enjoy some quiet time. In this cozy glamping setting, you will be serenaded by birds of every kind and will often see deer drinking by the stream close by. This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Learn more about this land: Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!  These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.  Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. Such a cute little spot and totally reasonable price! Sara was super responsive and helpful answering any questions. Not the best spot for someone with accessibility needs as there is a bit of a hill to get to most of the sites and the bathroom, but even as someone with slight mobility issues it was manageable. The view is gorgeous. Will definitely be returning.

Incredibly comfortable and secluded cabin. Has everything you could need without plumbing. (Toilet that doesn't smell and works great, outdoor shower is to die for, large jugs of water with nozzles like a sink faucet) Makes everything feel like your off grid but still have amenities. We loved camping on Fred’s land! Fred was very personable and kind, and gave us a thorough tour of the campground. The sites were spacious and clean, with electric plugs, fire pits, and tables available. They also have a private beach and dock for site guests, with a public beach and park on the other side of the road. Also, their general store has anything you may need, or want, while camping, including fire starter, ice, and Kawartha Dairy ice cream! We were so pleased with our experience and can’t wait to return!

Beautiful spot with plenty of room to spread out. We loved having a bathroom and taking a walk along the mowed trails to stretch our legs. This is a farm turned into an event space for weddings and such. We had a hard time finding it, the link sent with a pin to the location is incorrect. We had to call the host and get better directions.

Great spot !! Very quiet, private and relaxing. We loved spending time on the porch rocking chairs. Bed is very comfortable, as is the futon. The outdoor shower worked out great. Cari provided us with a perfect amount of water. All questions were answered promptly. We ventured out to local spots including Santa’s village, Port Sydney Falls, Tall Trees restaurant and Bellys ice cream in Huntsville. Nice middle spot between Huntsville and Bracebridge. Highly recommend !!

Simply Wow! if you like pure nature, not too much crowd, then this is the place. Fred and Jill (owner) are very friendly. Plus the one and only store has everything you need.
