This idyllic 160 square foot, wood stove heated cabin overlooks the largest pond on our property. The private site boasts a glorious on-demand hot water outdoor shower and covered outdoor kitchen. The Cabin has a double futon bed. Extra mattresses for kids can be brought to the cabin which can then sleep 4.
Walk beside our grazing sheep, goats and chickens and visit our forest raised pigs on your way to the cabin. As Foot Forward is a Permaculture inspired Regenerative farm, no fossil fuels are used in pasture/grounds maintenance. Sheep and goats are used to graze all of the grass including the grass around the pond and cabin.
Farm fresh eggs, and a variety of other products from the farm are available including (assuming they aren't sold out) our famous sausages.
Solar power provides you with all the lighting, shower-water pressure and technology charging you will need for your stay. There is no refrigeration onsite at the moment but access to a farm fridge can be arranged.
Quadra Island was recently rated by Forbes Magazine as #5 of its most up and coming travel locations in the world. Perhaps it was because of its natural beauty or the fact that it is a nearly mosquito free outdoor paradise. Quadra is the largest island in the Salish Sea. Endless recreational opportunities abound on the island. Hundreds of kilometres of hiking and mountain biking trails crisscross the island. Several guiding companies provide access to the world class kayaking and scuba diving off of Quadra's shores.
Do all that... or simply grab a book and curl up beside the pond or read a book in the hammock.

The cabin is winterized. The stove is actually to hot for the size of the cabin. It requires a little practice timing your fire and opening windows to keep it at the best temperature. Since we are all 'Hip" here... it just adds to the adventure. :) Oh yeah... bring boots. :) About once a year a rainstorm intense enough to overflow the stream you need to cross to the cabin overflows. In that case it is a bit of challenge getting there.

Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire)
The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk.
We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi.
Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug.
We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, and more!
The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here.

We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Nestle into our walk-in private 'Pond Cabin' located on our 40 acre Regenerative mixed farm on beautiful Quadra Island.
This idyllic 160 square foot, wood stove heated cabin overlooks the largest pond on our property. The private site boasts a glorious on-demand hot water outdoor shower and covered outdoor kitchen. The Cabin has a double futon bed. Extra mattresses for kids can be brought to the cabin which can then sleep 4.
Walk beside our grazing sheep, goats and chickens and visit our forest raised pigs on your way to the cabin. As Foot Forward is a Permaculture inspired Regenerative farm, no fossil fuels are used in pasture/grounds maintenance. Sheep and goats are used to graze all of the grass including the grass around the pond and cabin.
Farm fresh eggs, and a variety of other products from the farm are available including (assuming they aren't sold out) our famous sausages.
Solar power provides you with all the lighting, shower-water pressure and technology charging you will need for your stay. There is no refrigeration onsite at the moment but access to a farm fridge can be arranged.
Quadra Island was recently rated by Forbes Magazine as #5 of its most up and coming travel locations in the world. Perhaps it was because of its natural beauty or the fact that it is a nearly mosquito free outdoor paradise. Quadra is the largest island in the Salish Sea. Endless recreational opportunities abound on the island. Hundreds of kilometres of hiking and mountain biking trails crisscross the island. Several guiding companies provide access to the world class kayaking and scuba diving off of Quadra's shores.
Do all that... or simply grab a book and curl up beside the pond or read a book in the hammock.

The cabin is winterized. The stove is actually to hot for the size of the cabin. It requires a little practice timing your fire and opening windows to keep it at the best temperature. Since we are all 'Hip" here... it just adds to the adventure. :) Oh yeah... bring boots. :) About once a year a rainstorm intense enough to overflow the stream you need to cross to the cabin overflows. In that case it is a bit of challenge getting there.

Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. (no pets allowed for glamping)
Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire)
The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk.
We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi.
Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug.
We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, and more!
The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here.

We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Melanie & Ryan were fantastic hosts! They were kind, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The place is beautiful, and the lights make it magical and easy to navigate around at night. The yurt was gorgeous. My friend and I visited at the end of October, so it got very cold at night. However, the mattress heating pad worked wonders, and Melanie was incredibly kind to offer us additional bedding. Thank you for a great glamping experience!

My family and I stayed in one of the bell tents at Agape Gardens. It was super clean and very well decorated. It was so inviting and cosy. Jennie smudged the tent prior to us arriving which is such an honour to have done. Jennie and her beautiful family welcomed us with a tour of the property, which we found to be extremely well looked after. From the brimming gardens, healthy live stock, well established hiking trail, to the multiple options of sites to camp at, we were very impressed. We felt at home immediately and wished we could’ve stayed longer. We also met her neighbours who were also very friendly people and jumped to help us fix some toys we had with us.
We will most definitely visit this special place again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Shiloh Barn! Jess and Mark were amazing hosts — super kind, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything.
The glamping tent was clean, cozy, and had everything we could possibly need — utensils, washroom, tissues, even little touches that made it feel really comfortable. The barn loft upstairs with the string lights was adorable and such a nice place to unwind.
We had a great time barbecuing, sitting by the fire pit, and stargazing late into the night. It was peaceful, romantic, and such a refreshing break from city life.
Thank you, Jess and Mark, for sharing your beautiful place with us and making our stay so special. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway!

Lovely spot- very relaxing, amazing view, friendly hosts. we loved the bell tent, although we were there on the first night of October, so it got a bit chilly in the evening- luckily there were extra blankets. This was our second attempt to camp at Shiloh Barn. We needed to cancel our previous booking due to a family matter. Jessica was 100% helpful during the cancelation and rebooking process with me.
Thankfully, we rebooked for this weekend. The weather was amazing.
The property is beautiful. Well taken care of. Lots of amenities and nice touches for glamping so there isn't too much that you need to pack.
The glamping area with the barn and large tent is at the back of the property. Very spacious area that you have all to yourself. Clean, well tended too, and extremely private.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to return.
Thanks for being great hosts. Our only suggestion would be a picnic table, but we adapted by carrying out the small table at the barn to enjoy the beautiful weather.

The setting is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, natural, restorative. The rustle of autumn leaves, crisp fresh air, and unspoiled surroundings made it easy to slow down and breathe. It’s rare to find somewhere so serene, where you can truly unwind.
The host was thoughtful and attentive in all the right ways. The tent was comfortable and well-prepared; everything was clean, cared for, and exactly what we needed. The out houses were immaculate—so well kept that they felt more like a pleasant surprise than an afterthought.

1 night at Living Large on Chilliwack River
I loved glamping on Lisa and James’ land! They are wonderful hosts, and I felt very welcome and comfortable during my stay. The property is beautiful - right by the river with mountain views you can enjoy from your private deck.
The tent was amazing too! It’s set amongst the trees, which provide perfect shade on a hot, sunny day. I had everything I needed to cook, relax, and enjoy myself.

1 night at Valinore Glamping
Oh my god, what a lovely experience! As a LOTR nerd, I was delighted at the theme. :) The site was peaceful and quiet, the doggies were so friendly and welcoming, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. For me, this was capital G glamping. There was a very clean flushing toilet outhouse with all amenities you’d need, the shower was so amazing - think, steamy cedar, cool island air, fresh fluffy towels. The outdoor kitchen with organic coffee, spearmint tea, and yummy cookies in the morning was truly next level fancy shmancy.
The tent was amazing: clean, cozy, and warm, beautifully designed in art nouveau fashion. We slept like logs!
100% worth it, and a great value!
I sure hope to be back one day for longer!

This was a great experience for us and our 2 month old! Our first family camping trip was made much easier by the stocked kitchen, bbq, and a real bed - and the space feels very private. It was certainly cold at night this time of year but lots of blankets available and also made for way less bugs than we were expecting. We went hiking at Starkey Hill close by (free) which is a spot we know and love. Our host was very helpful and responsive and this trip made me feel so grateful people like Jess and Mark share their beautiful and well maintained property with others. I would consider a longer stay in future if there was a shower or a good lake for swimming nearby (not exactly something they can account for, Guelph lake is around but we don’t love swimming in it) but this was perfect for a couple of nights away from all the screens. And new scenery for our baby to cry in LOL. Thanks!

The Atlantic Region
Composed of tiny islands and peninsulas, the four Atlantic provinces form a crescent-shaped bay on Canada’s eastern coast: the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Prince Edward Island National Park faces the gulf, and with its scenic coastal landscape, charming lighthouses, and sand dunes, it’s easy to see why it inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery’s famous novel, Anne of Green Gables. Meanwhile, Gros Morne National Park, a world heritage site on the west coast of Newfoundland, is an ecological kaleidoscope of misty fjords for kayaking, sea caves, and the highest waterfall in eastern North America. New Brunswick’s Fundy National Park is all about high tides, and Nova Scotia’s Cape Breton Highlands National Park covers major landscapes—think steep cliffs, rocky coastline hiking trails, and tundra-like plateaus, plus wildlife like moose, puffins, whales, and bald eagles.
Central Canada
The southern parts of Central Canada, bordering four of the five Great Lakes, are a camper’s dream, with green countryside, forests, and thousands of lakes and rivers. Check out the quiet coves and charming fishing villages, or find a camping spot along the rugged cliffs of Forillon National Park, set on the outer tip of Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula. In Bruce Peninsula National Park in Ontario, just four hours north of Toronto, look out for limestone cliffs, dozens of orchid species, and a variety of wildlife—everything from white-tailed deer and otters to porcupines and even black bears. Plus, at the northern tip of Bruce Peninsula, you’ll find underwater adventure at Fathom Five National Marine Park. Dive down to explore more than 20 shipwrecks, or view them through crystal-clear water from a glass-bottomed boat. And don’t miss the astounding flowerpot rock formations caused by tidal pool erosion.
The Prairie Provinces
Here in the south you’ll find wide-open plains, but head north in the Prairie Provinces and you’ll see some of the most ecologically diverse landscapes in the country. With its subarctic forest, tundra, and part of North America’s largest expanse of peat bog, Manitoba’s Wapusk National Park is a prime location to see polar bears with one of the largest known maternity denning areas for the great white bears. Grasslands, forests, and lakes all come together in Riding Mountain National Park, where you can watch bison munch on grass or, if you time your trip right, view the Northern Lights. Saskatchewan’s Grasslands National Park is yet another place to spot a herd of bison grazing on the endless plain. And, of course, the Alberta province shelters quite a few gorgeous parks among the world’s premier destinations. The Crypt Lake Trail in Waterton Lakes National Park is on many hiker wishlists due to its spectacular waterfall and wildflower views. See an epic sunrise over the mirror-like water of the iconic Moraine Lake in Banff National Park, one of the most photographed locations in the entire country. You can also explore the ancient Athabasca Glacier in the Columbia Icefields while visiting the southern end of Jasper National Park.
The West Coast (The Pacific Region)
This is one of the most mountainous areas in Canada—the Pacific Coast Mountains start around Vancouver and the Canadian Rocky Mountains lie to the east—and British Columbia provincial parks and campsites are a main draw. There’s tons to do in Pacific Rim National Park: take a surf lesson at Long Beach, go canoeing through the maze of rugged Broken Group Islands, or hike the 47-mile West Coast Trail through the rainforest for backcountry camping. Road trip to Yoho National Park in the Rocky Mountains for towering waterfalls, or hike Mount Revelstoke National Park’s trails for views of wildflower meadows, 800-year-old red cedar trees, and impressive wetlands. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of mountain caribou, pine marten, or golden eagles.
Northern Canada
Most of the terrain in Northern Canada is rocky and barren with sparse vegetation. Hike through the Arctic at Auyuittuq National Park in the Nunavut territory for scenic fjords, rushing rivers, and huge glaciers, plus the chance to cross paths with lemmings or polar bears. If visiting the Northwest Territories’ Nahanni National Park, prepare yourself for camping sites near the epic Virginia Falls, known for being double the size of Niagara. You may encounter a bit more life by traveling west to the Yukon province, where Kluane National Park is a prime location to watch the grizzlies, caribou, and eagles who live among the backcountry peaks and sprawling valleys.
