I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and some paddleboards. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. We can take you in to town during your stay for an additional charge of 50$ per direction. We've secured exclusive moorage at a private dock in Egmont. This is where you will park. The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee. Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away. There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets. The home itself has a pottery studio on the main floor with a full time studio Practice. Give Paige a ring if you’d like a tour, she’s usually working away. Our family lives on the top floor. Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts. Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and some paddleboards. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. Relax in the Adirondack chair or unwind in the shady hammock. There's a cozy campfire pit (when permitted) with funky furniture. Add-ons: Firewood available to purchase. Mudge Island is one of the smallest islands among the Southern Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia. Hosts, Jia & Ric, have been living and working on their beautiful waterfront property for 5 years, building a work-in-progress hobby farm, zen gardens, orchards, and vineyard. Mudge Island and its surrounding waterways are home to bald eagles, herons, orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, and seals. We offer canoe and paddleboard rentals, as well as guided canoe paddling tours of Stuart Channel, False Narrows and Dodd Narrows, the scenic waterways surrounding Mudge Island. Ric, your host and guide, is very knowledgeable about the local history and marine life, having lived in this area for most of his life. While Ric will delight you with fables and legends about these parts, co-host Jia will delight your palate with delicious and healthy homecooked meals (should you wish to take a relaxing vacation without having to cook for yourself). Meals can be ordered as needed or for the entire duration of your stay. Order or pack your own picnic lunch and spend the day exploring one of several beaches, each unique and beautiful in their own way. With no commercial services available on this island, you will truly feel like you have escaped to the great outdoors. For those who want to remain "plugged in", internet service is available on site. Cell phone signals can be spotty or unavailable in some areas of the island, but there is a reliable signal on the property. This getaway is perfect for anyone who wants a nature retreat with an experience that can be tailored to one of complete self-reliance (where you do everything for yourself), or one of complete pampering in an "all inclusive" style vacation (you can even book a massage with our local RMT, subject to her availability). Beautiful and quiet! Our Glamping spot is tucked into a grove trees on our 1 acre property. Peek-a-boo views to the salish sea and the spectacular Mt Arrowsmith. We have abundant bird life everywhere! We are a 5 minute walk to a sunny, quiet, serene stretch of beach along the Comox peninsula, and very close to Kye Bay and other scenic spots. We are a short half hour drive to Strathcona Park and Mt Washington, featuring breathtaking hikes complete with alpine lakes and crystalline rivers. Our glamping spot features a fully equipped kitchen, a hot water on demand shower and composting toilet. There are several areas set up for your relaxation and enjoyment! Our 17 ft cedar sleeping barrel has a platform king sized bed and a reading nook below, as well as a pull out table and benches. We provide a bottom sheet and two pillows with pillow cases. Full bedding is available to you at a small extra cost. Your site is private, however the property is shared with the owners.

Both Susan and Tony were amazing hosts. They were always quick to answer any questions and were incredibly kind! We did end up booking a tour with them of their place which was truly spectacular and original. Me and my parter have already discussed when we will return next. We will be forever thinking about our conversations with them both sharing our love for the environment and dogs:) Looking forward to our next visit!

Love the micro-cabin. It is very compact and thoughtfully designed. We enjoyed the firepit and kitchen. Kito was very healpful and even provided us with extra heater. The water in the outdoor shower is very cold so it could be improved. But im sure that Kito will immediately fix it if you message him. We didnt need to use it during that time so it wasnt a problem for us. Overall, it is a nice place and very private. We also enjoyed the trail.

We had the best experience at strongwater cabins. The cabins are cozy and picturesque, with all the essentials. An electric kettle and mini fridge made our experience so much better, since we were able to store our food and enjoy hot drinks on the chilly autumn nights. The cabin comes with an electric fireplace that kept us perfectly toasty as well. Hot showers and clean bathrooms and area to wash our dishes was so convenient! Cheyenne has put her heart into the property and it shows. The hosts are super accommodating! We even got to use their canoe and paddle out on Waugh Lake, and check out their infrared sauna. The cherry on top is the delightful animals that live on the property. Geese, chickens, mini ponies, guinea fowl, and more. We explored the Skookumchuck trail and checked out the amazing whirlpools. Every inch of this forest is beautiful, made better by our time at the cabin. We will absolutely return! A 10/10 experience.

Stayed three nights for my partner's birthday long weekend! We had Christian's property all to ourselves for most of the stay, which definitely contributed to the zen vibes we were hoping for. It's nice to be able to spend so much time "doing nothing" without a sense of guilt, haha. We brought a bluetooth speaker, but only used it on a couple occasions (when cooking). The opportunity for silence and stillness can be a rare thing. The cabin is not fully finished but it has everything one could hope for. Bed and sofas are on wheels so a good chance for your closet interior decorator to shine. I recommend bringing headlamps or at least external batteries for your phone torch for convenience at night (we brought board games). The wood stove is easy to manage once you get the ropes, and Christian does a good job of teaching. We were toasty throughout our stay (evenings around 10C or so), but it doesn't hurt to bring extra for your sleep, when managing the fire might be harder. The kitchen is well equipped and we had a blast grilling up steaks. No issues with the outhouse. We didn't get enough sun for the solar showers but it's a neat setup. Overall a wonderful stay. Beautiful piece of property and it's clear how much care Christian has put into it- and continues to. Honestly hard to say how different our stay would be with others camping nearby, but the experience we got was very memorable.

We LOVED staying at Cheyenne's Treehouse Cabin. We stayed in cabin 2 for 2 nights and it was pure perfection. It truly felt like you were in a treehouse among the trees. The whole property was gorgeous and miraculously upkept. The heater kept the cabin warm at night, towels and loonies for showers were provided. Close to Skookumchuk Narrows and Skookumchuk Bakery and Cafe (the cinnamon buns are a MUST). Would absolutely recommend for a friend.

I would recommend for my low maintenance friends as the pee toilet in the cabin is a separate room with a seat, however is a 20gallon paint bucket that you do have to clean. This didn’t bother me, but may bother some. I didn’t shower when I stayed because the shower was very dirty and full of garbage from previous guests. The compost toilet is clean and right around the corner from the cabin. There are workers/helpers/younger (quiet) crew who live on site and are very helpful and wonderful. I loved staying here and will be back. My only concern was the lack of cleanliness of the shower. I’ve posted an updated photo.

Staying in Karen & Kito's A-frame cabin was a super unique experience! With a solar-powered battery, a little propane heater a stove and BBQ, I had everything I needed to enjoy a lovely night at the Tiny Secrets Farm :) I was able to have the window wall open late into the night. There were no bugs!! It was fun to explore the property, visit the rabbits and chickens and chat with Dan, the caretaker, who was super friendly and made sure I had a great stay! I really loved how quiet and peaceful it was! The shower is rustic but hot water is really all I needed ;)

Oh my god, what a lovely experience! As a LOTR nerd, I was delighted at the theme. :) The site was peaceful and quiet, the doggies were so friendly and welcoming, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. For me, this was capital G glamping. There was a very clean flushing toilet outhouse with all amenities you’d need, the shower was so amazing - think, steamy cedar, cool island air, fresh fluffy towels. The outdoor kitchen with organic coffee, spearmint tea, and yummy cookies in the morning was truly next level fancy shmancy. The tent was amazing: clean, cozy, and warm, beautifully designed in art nouveau fashion. We slept like logs! 100% worth it, and a great value! I sure hope to be back one day for longer!
