Quiet but not up to standards
Unfortunately our stay felt "off" from the time we arrived. Gardeners were on site, playing loud music, gardening directly beside the windows of the container home, which had no window coverings (including the bathroom which has a large ground level picture window!). Gardeners did not leave the site until a couple of hours after our arrival. There was construction debris and other rubbish strewn around the outside of the container home and property in general. It felt like a dump site. As we were having a bite to eat on the deck, the property owner and one of the gardeners walked onto the deck and appeared surprised to see us. The homeowner then declared that she had "forgotten she had guests". The blackberry also needed to be seriously controlled. We understand that it is an invasive species however it had been allowed to encroach all along the edges of the driveway, and all around the container home in close proximity, including under the deck and through the deck stairs. There was fresh bear scat on the driveway unsurprisingly as this would be a prime location for bears to feed on berries this time of year. It's never advisable to create an environment where bears become food habituated so close to a dwelling (both for bears and for humans). No bug screens on windows except in kitchen and on sliding doors meant no fresh air at night. No central heat, just a small space heater. No key or way to lock up. Empty propane, no way to enjoy the provided propane fire pit in photo
