Rustic camp-site. Host had everything ready when we got there. Clean pit toilet. Nice view of the field. It is somebody’s life long property so it does have some quirks. Host was kind and very accommodating!

Cory's spot was quiet, clean and spacious, and conveniently located near a pub and restaurant just up the road walking distance 3 mins. It was a safe area as well. Located near a barn with the cutest horse and bunny rabbits. I would recommend it to others.

Weekend Trip to Fan Palm Farm

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this newer Hipcamp. The owners are super friendly and helped us maneuver to the ideal site for our 21ft Sprinter. There are several sites available and we were pleasantly surprised they had full hookups (listing only mentioned potable water access ... they are in the process of updating it). The nearby hens and a rooster made for entertaining company during our stay! The sites are away from the road and we could only hear a tiny bit of traffic during the day. At night we could only hear nature. There are 2 adorable dogs on site who love visitors. There were a few other campsite guests and we enjoyed swapping travel stories with them. The premises felt very safe and peaceful. Make sure to check out the many farms nearly in Saanich, the farmers markets, and the amazing hiking trails in nearby parks with their mountain vistas and ocean inlets. The only very slight item to be mindful of is that the turn to get through the entrance gate is a little bit tight. We made it just fine with careful mirror checks. I believe a 2nd access point may be available for longer RVs.

A lovely, quiet site. I'd happily stay again. Cory and Trish were super-helpful with local recommendations. I had a great 4-night stay with my dog.

6 nights at Decourcy Meadows

We stayed with Rod and Joyce for 12 days and had the greatest experience, and made life long friends of them. The site is beautiful and easy to maneuver.... and full service! The surroundings are serene and best of all, the hosts are wonderful people. I look forward to our next chance to visit them!

Spacious back-in with power and water, ideal spot to visit Cathedral Grove. Very clean with pic-nic table and a good size grass area. Pretty and quiet. We recommend.

We had a great time on Andre’s land :). We car camped in my Forester, perfect little spot to spend the night near Butchart gardens! We were the only ones there, so had the place to ourselves, looks like there’s a few lovely sites. There’s a really cool goat and some chickens nearby. Lots of birds in the morning. Andre (and his dog) were great, very helpful, and kind. Thanks for the fun times!

We loved camping at Lisa’s place. It feels very private and very safe. There is everything a camper needs. Lisa communicated very well and there is a beautiful trail all the way around the property to small play area where all members of our family had so much fun. Lisa was so nice and understanding when our dog started running across her fields and around her property. I felt so bad but she even helped to catch him.

Decourcy Meadows is a peaceful forested site within a short walking distance to a safe local swimming beach. We are an RV-only campsite. The site is level and can accommodate vehicles up to 40ft in length. Electrical, sewage, and potable water hookups included. Amenities include a picnic table, wifi and a fire ring and some fire wood supplied at no cost. If there is a campfire ban in effect we will provide a propane campfire. The property is about half natural forest and so it's not unusual to see local critters, large and small peeking out! There are several hiking trails in the area and local parks as well. There are 3 artisans on Decourcy Drive. The world-famous Crow and Gate pub is 4 km from here and the historic Wheat Sheaf Hotel (Pub) is about 5 km. Local restaurants and Cafes, Groceries, Pharmacy are 5 km. We are a quiet country getaway located 25 minutes from Nanaimo Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. Duke Point Terminal is about 20 minutes. Picturesque town of Ladysmith is about 25 minutes south and the very Unique town of Chemainus is 35 minutes and very worth seeing.

There is plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available. WI-FI onsite as well. Private site yet close to all amenities. Local favourite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk and a must-stop for dinner and drinks! Centrally located on Vancouver Island, it’s a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive. Pets are welcome.
