I bought this magical property 13 years ago and I have developed it from beach to mountain with the idea of sharing it with epic humans since day 1.
It is 1 acre of pure natural and artistic bliss. The natural wonders include a massive beach with space for many, a gigantic sling shot, sweet fire pits, comfortable lawn chairs, paddle boards, kayaks, a cedar strip canoe, and many other toys free for you to explore. Please note that the Beach house guests have priority of the Gazebo but there are many spots/tables and parasols set up to enjoy all other spots on the beach.
My property has 2 rentals on it, the other is right on the beach called "Sweet beach house-edge of the water", in case you wanted to book both locations. There are also a couple of sites for extra guests to pitch a tent on for a fee.
Its like jurassic park here...very tropical and chill. The artful camper boasts of an outdoor spa and deck, BBQ, mini fridge, fantastic lake and mountain views and access to the beach from 9am-8pm. The other rental a.k.a. The beach-house comes with an attached outdoor 1950's style kitchen, oudoor on demand shower, outhouse, fire pits, lawn chairs, and free use of water vessels. It is located steps from the water. Truly magical.

The cabin has one queen size bed, a comfy sofa, extra large bar fridge, fan, delightful kitchenette and vintage wood stove.
The cabin in incredible but the outdoor 1950’s inspired kitchen will blow your mind. Stocked with the means to make a gourmet meal, you will want to use more than just the BBQ.

Once you’ve had enough swimming for the day, experience the tropical on-demand outdoor shower. All the guests say it feels as if they are showering in Hawaii. The outhouse is sparkling clean and private.

The kitchen, hammock, BBQ and outhouse are completely yours.

There are 4 paddle boards, 1 kayak and a vintage cedar strip canoe available for all guests. There are 2 rentals on the property so be expected to share the water vessels. The spacious beach has enough zones supplied with chairs and parasols for all to privately enjoy. Guests and myself having access from 9am-8pm.

Please do not bring plastic water bottles. The water here is divine.
Firewood is not provided. You can easily pick up bundles enroute at gas stations or at our local Lakeview store located 5 mIn north.

We allow a maximum of one RV up to 20 feet. Parking for an additional recreational vehicle, boat, ATV, or jet ski is available for $25 per day per vehicle. Please note that parking is located on the upper driveway rather than in the camp itself.
Power for the RV site is available for an additional $20 per day. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are permitted with prior approval; owners must pick up and dispose of all waste.
Studio Garden House
A Studio Garden House is available for extra guests for $175 from April 1st to September 15th. This space includes a fold-out bed, room for two cots, a table, and a microwave. This must be booked at the same time the campsite is reserved.

Inside, you will find a double bed with linens and pillows, a sink with cold running water, and dish soap with towels.
Outside, there is a large deck with a BBQ and furniture, a fire pit, and a hot outdoor shower. We provide bins for garbage, compost, and recycling, along with a cooler; please remember to bring your own ice.
There is no electricity at the bus, so please bring a headlamp. A private outhouse and the hot outdoor shower are located near the bus for your convenience. While we do not offer internet access, there is excellent cell reception if you have data on your phone.
Slocan Lake and Silverton can be accessed in just 5 minutes. There you will find ice, a laundromat, cafes, a grocery and health food store, and the lakefront. A 10-minute drive takes you to New Denver, a beautiful mountain town with access to endless world-class mountain biking, hiking trails, and mountaineering opportunities, as well as various water activities.

We had a wonderful few days at Monica's campsite. The directions were great and easy to follow. Which helped tremendously since it was already dark when we got there. The site was peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed falling asleep listening to the nearby creek. The flattened clearing was a nice change. Much cleaner area to camp at than gravel/sand. Our trailer was too big to drive through the trees (27 ft plus the truck) so we turned around and backed into the site. That worked. Lol. Great location. Very scenic. Even the town of Nukusp was beautiful to visit and just a short drive away. And the Nakusp Hot Springs were a welcome treat. Monica was a fantastic hostess. Really nice lady. Provided us with some lovely daytrip ideas in the area, like a nearby waterfall. Would definitely recommend.

We were greeted by Kait and her partner who were very welcoming and super laid back. The location couldn’t be better. You’re a 1 minute walk to the beach and half way to Nelson, Kalso and hiking or waterfall adventures. Flush toilets and a washing station for your cooking are only a few steps away. The firewood bundle they sell lasts a long time. I will note the site is not very private as your neighbours on both sides are separated by a rocks and sparse trees. So if you’re ok with less privacy it is a gem of a spot.

Beautiful location to spend a few days. Only minutes from the ferry, it is very convenient when exploring the Kooteney’s. The campsite was nice and serene,
Valery and her family were great-and made our stay really enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

I had a short stay at Bear Rd camp. Todd reviewed a few things to enjoy in the area, including kayaking on a nearby lake and some of the views to see, and local off-grid areas, including an abandoned mine in the area. He is a wonderful person as he explained the edible berries and reviewed his local community with me. He was attentive to your needs.

22 ft pop-up camper
The space Todd set up for Bear Flats is fantastic. He was an exceptional host, showing us around the property, pointing out berry bushes we could pick, and he laid out a campfire with wood. (Unfortunately it rained) it’s an excellent secluded and quiet space, but very close to the lake for kayaking. I’ll definitely come back again next summer!

Second time staying here and it’s even better than the first! Todd our host is super sweet and goes out of his way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He’s also very knowledgeable about the local area and can recommend sights and places to go. There was a fire pit stocked with wood and adirondack chairs surrounding it. There’s a lake not far where you can kayak and overall the property is beautiful and so quite. Definitely recommend and we’ll be back next year hopefully for a longer stay and will look forward to using the outdoor shower currently under construction!
