Decent place to over night. Very bumpy heading to the sight. Had 2 port-a-potty’s on sight that we clean but lots of spiders. The host might want to number the sights as when some other hipsters arrived they ask us what sight was where. We told them to count the picnic tables. Another pro each sight had picnic tables.

We took our RV up to Big Sky to try out this spot for 2 nights. It was great! Private and beautiful views. The first day there all of the spots were full (there are only 6 spots) but we had the campground to ourselves the entire next day. We swam, hiked around and relaxed in the sunshine. Our pups had the best day playing in the river and discovering frogs. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful location, quiet and clean. Stars are gorgeous on a clear night. Bathrooms were porta potties that were clean and stocked with nice toilet paper. Decent fishing in the river. 20 minute easy drive from downtown grand forks. Flat ground for tents.

Peaceful spot right on the river

Beautiful, peaceful spot right on a river with sandy banks to hang out on. It’s not overly private with trees between sites, but they are far enough away from each other. There’s porta potties there too. Basic camping, but well worth it! Never saw so many stars in my life!!!

Amazing River

The river swims and sand spits were worth the stay here. The big sky was also really amazing both with the sunrise and the stars at night. There isn’t much privacy between the sites but the other campers were respectful and quiet when we stayed.

The sites are beautiful, situated right on the Granby River in a giant hay field in a gorgeous valley. It feels isolated and is so nice and quiet at night; such a peaceful place to get away and unplug. There are two portapotties that were immaculately clean. Highly recommend for ultimate peace and quiet.

After a long day of driving I arrived at the site. To be honest, it was so hot out (35 degrees) and the site I chose had no shade. I was worried about having any kind of open flame as the grass was tall and very dry. I ended up going back into Grand Forks and staying at a motel. This would be a good spot if you had a trailer or some kind of shelter to keep cool. It was a pretty location, just not for me on that day.

Great rustic camping site next to the Granby river! The area is absolutely gorgeous and it was very quiet. You need to drive through a field to get to the camp sites, so it might be a bit bumpy for a low car. But it was fine in our Forester. Our son enjoyed playing along the river and we all had an excellent stay. Would definitely come back next time we're in the area.

Such a beautiful piece of land! The spots don’t offer much privacy so I had fun chatting with the neighbors, they had good things to say about meeting the host and taking a dip in the river. I would definitely return.

The riverside camp is beautiful. The drive into the area is pretty rough, but I think worth the drive. We were disappointed the grass was high, and the table unusable because of the high grass. A little trimming once a week would have helped each campsite look a little more inviting. The portapotty bathrooms need to be dumped. Clean up too, but they haven’t been emptied in a long time.

Great campsite! Private and scenic, feeling of wide open space and definately big skies! Nice to explore the wide river bed and creek. Good directions, easy to find. Area has many backroads and trails for MTB / 4x4 / ATV folks, or fish the creeks. Thanks Wendell!

What a beautiful, peaceful spot along Granby River to camp. The meadow and cottonwoods were full of birds including the rare bobolink nesting. We loved our stay. The track to the camping spots from the road was a bit rough in parts with the long grass, but my minivan made it ok. Very few mosquitoes, which was a relief.

Camping spots are close together in a large open field. Next to a small river and beautiful open sky views. Important to note - if tenting, I’d strongly recommend choosing spot #2 as that’s the only real shaded space among the lot. We were in spot #1 and it got extremely hot in the early morning!

Camping next to the beautiful river

This was our 2nd time staying here. Same beautiful spot as last time. The weeds/grass were too tall around the fire pit this time to use and couldn’t see the river view as easy because of it but great location and the river was refreshing to dip into on the hot weekend we had. We’ll be back again! Thanks!

Once we got To our camp We were happy with the space ..There were very few signs, and we felt a bit lost at first. We never did find the wood that was advertised . No camp host anywhere Very quiet place. Granby river was very nice. A map would have really helped a lot . It's a bit risky driving down a narrow road with no turn around insight when you have a travel trailer.

Lovely and Rustic, Awesome for Dogs

We loved camping here, especially with our dogs. The campground is rustic, field style camping but the grass is mostly well-trimmed and there are picnic tables, fire pits and tons of space at each site. The sites are right on the Granby River, depending on the time of year and water levels, the river may by steps away or a short (1-3 min) walk. Don't camp here if you like cramped RV parking lots or smooth gravel campsites - do camp here if you like privacy and being in nature. The road down is a bit bumpy, but easily driveable with regular cars. Don't follow Google Maps, follow the written directions in HipCamp. Google will do you dirty. Overall very much enjoyed and will be back!
