Water safety note: A dam exists within the property and is located close to the camping area. The dam does not have exclusion fencing and may be a hazard to some. This should be considered prior to booking, particularly if you have young children. This is lovely quiet, open bushland block, close to Newstead and Castlemaine. Cairn Curran Reservoir is only a few kilometres away. Pitch a tent or drive your van in. The amazing little shack onsite offers gas cooking facilities and a sofa so you can relax in front of the beautiful little fireplace. There are great opportunities for taking leisurely walks or rides along the gravel roads surrounding the property. What makes this property special is the awesome shack which can be used for cooking and relaxing. It also has great dam and incredible variety of birds, so it is a birdwatching mecca. A shower and compost toilet is available onsite.

We also have ordered wood fired hot tubs that should arrive by Easter. We have heaps of animals -goats, sheep, horses, miniature horses, dogs, cats, and pigs. We have two milking goats We have fresh eggs in season. We can supply fresh rain water. There are two dams, which could have yabbies (we did put them in there). Locally, there are many attractions which you can see and do. Ballarat and Ararat are approximately 30 minutes either way. Ararat has the historic J Ward for the criminally insane, and Aradale Asylum. The Grampians National Park is 1 hour away. Skipton Rail Trail is close by as well. Beaufort has cafes, Op Shops, pubs, galleries and all the takeaway regulars. Beaufort Market is currently not running, Avoca (40 minutes away) is the fourth Sunday and the huge Talbot Market (40 minutes away) is the third Sunday in the month. Dogs are welcome, as long as they don’t chase the animals. There are no facilities here, but we will have a toilet and shower for the March long weekend, and we are hiring a portable toilet for the Pyrenees Hideaway.

The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne. Enjoy all the area has to offer, and come back to your own paradise in the bush. Wake up to roos on the oval and enjoy a barbie with your group. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Redbank offers sites across 200 acres of land, SITE 1 a main area offers 4 large sites suited to campers wanting to be super close to toilet, shower, camp kitchen, and playgrounds, which is a major hit with the kids making it a popular spot for families. The camp kitchen has dining space and barbecue facilities. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene. Forest Valley Hideaway

Welcome to our quiet, peaceful bush retreat in Anakie - home to kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, and many possum species. Whether you're here for bushwalking, gold-panning, bike riding, wineries or just to escape, you'll find it at all. We're 6km from Del Rios Winery - MAGNIFICENT- and about the same from Fairy Park. Anakie Gorge isn't much further, and the You Yangs are about 15 minutes drive away. The historic township of Steiglitz is only 5 minutes drive away the opposite direction down De Motts Road. You'll find nice bushwalks here too. Austin's winery is also only 15mins away. The Great Ocean Road is 45mins drive away. We have a number of campsites, offering two separate drop toilets. Use the watering can to wash your hands, and fill it up at the dam if it's empty for the next guests. Please take all rubbish with you. Campfires can be lit during non-fire-ban periods (winter), using our abundance of firewood. Please don't burn the stump-stools around the campfire area. You'll need to find and cut your own firewood. When you arrive, there is a 2wd site to your right. Further up, the driveway splits, and you can go left to follow the steep 4x4 / AWD road down to the dam. There are parks on the left for 2wd cars. At the bottom, turn left up the valley to camp anywhere you like. Just don't block the road because we use it too. You can walk all the way up the valley, back up to the driveway. Oreo (Red Kelpie, 10) and Stitch (Whippet x Kelpie, 5) will probably find you at some stage when you're setting up or visiting the Chooks up near the house. The two Italian Greyhounds are Daphne & Zeppy - 7 & 6. Our Alpacas don't like dogs, and are wary of little kids on their own if you try to pat them, so please be mindful. You're better off staying out of their paddock. They're also fairly fussy eaters, but you're welcome to feed them!

Dromkeen has very clean toilets, but a reminder there are NO showers. Also all sites are unpowered, but upon request prior to arrival a powered spot may be available at an extra $10 a day. The property was titled in the 1970's and played host to horses and cattle over the early years before being rehabilitated and now being covered in a mixture of grass pastures and native bush. The property continues to be a sanctuary to native wildlife and is maintained to an ongoing excellent standard. Walking and bike riding tracks are less than 5mins away as the property sits at the base of the Lerderderg State Park.

We have two milking goats We have fresh eggs in season. We can supply fresh rain water. There are two dams, which could have yabbies (we did put them in there). Locally, there are many attractions which you can see and do. Ballarat and Ararat are approximately 30 minutes either way. Ararat has the historic J Ward for the criminally insane, and Aradale Asylum. The Grampians National Park is 1 hour away. Skipton Rail Trail is close by as well. Beaufort has cafes, Op Shops, pubs, galleries and all the takeaway regulars. Beaufort Market is currently not running, Avoca (40 minutes away) is the fourth Sunday and the huge Talbot Market (40 minutes away) is the third Sunday in the month. Dogs are welcome, as long as they don’t chase the animals. There are no facilities here, but we will have a toilet and shower for the March long weekend, and we are hiring a portable toilet for the Pyrenees Hideaway.

A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields.

We have big plans for our land and hope to build a steam museum in our other area over the creek. Excitingly, we will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home. I am an actor and artist working in metal, clay and paint. I'm inspired by my flower garden and the bush that frames it. Redbank offers sites across 200 acres of land, SITE 1 a main area offers 4 large sites suited to campers wanting to be super close to toilet, shower, camp kitchen, and playgrounds, which is a major hit with the kids making it a popular spot for families. The camp kitchen has dining space and barbecue facilities. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene.
