Set on 20 acres and based in Bluewater, just north of Townsville, we are semi-screened from the road and have easy RV or Campervan access assuming you don't mind using a simple gate. We cater to fully Self Contained guests only but we do have some basic services available depending on what spots are already taken, but generally access to: - Water - Power (at some sites only via leads at an additional charge) - Common fire pit area - Recyclable disposal only (no general rubbish or black water disposal - suggest empty before arrival at the free dump point only 1.5km away - Pets on leashes allowed at some sites and may depend on breed/ other guests at the time to avoid conflict) - There is a beach and boat ramp just a couple of minutes down the end of the road, and only 15 minutes or so to a variety of shops including Groceries, Bunnings, Supercheap Auto, and BCF - You are welcome to pat the horses and say g'day to Angus, our humongous cow, all under the watchful remaining eye of Milo the Pug, the true Lord of our Manor!! Bookings are essential so you don't miss out, but please feel free to call or email us for any further information, and we will be happy to help. Proceed another approximately 200 m until you are opposite Pirie St to your left. On the right you will see the entrance to number 105 with a Blue Tiger butterfly sign pinned to a tree. Turn right and drive straight down along the property boundary line. Towards the bottom of the property near the tree line turn left and you will see the toilet and shower block amongst the bushes ahead of you. You can choose to camp anywhere you like in the shade of the trees or in more open sunny space. Please bring your own firewood, or purchase locally at Mitre 10 in Nelly Bay, if you wish to light a fire. Located conveniently 45kms south of Townsville and Magnetic Island ferry terminal,45km north of Ayr and 8km north of Giru. The 20-acre dam is very low at the moment (September, October '26) and grass is dry. We are dependent on rain for filling the dam. At the moment it is too low for kayaking or SUP. Kayaks x3 on bank for public use. Plenty of weed for the birds! On arrival, phone our on-site caretaker Danni, and she can assist you to find a spot that suits you and your group. We do have internet reception. Occasionally reception can be weak depending on what the network is doing. Generally, it is not a problem. Bring Mosquito/sandfly spray or coils, especially if camping by the lake. Campfires allowed. Wood for sale, $15 cash per milk crate, from caretaker. Please return crates to camp kitchen for re-filling. Fire rings are available at the sites. Please leave them where they are as moving them is destroying the surrounding areas. Thankyou. Pet friendly as long as you respect our rules. Due to our wildlife and respect for other campers, all dogs must be on a lead or tethered by a rope under owners' control AT ALL TIMES. Donnington Airpark is a 160-acre privately-owned airfield located at Woodstock, 40 km from Townsville on the Flinders Highway. It is home to a number of private aircraft and a couple of flying training organisations from Towsville use it for touch-and-go circuits, first solo etc. A monthly Social Fly-In Breakfast is staged (4th Sunday), which features visiting aircraft, occasional car/bike club displays, market stalls, hot food and coffee van plus special attractions or guest speakers and presentations (when available). There is ample level ground available for campers. Sunsets can be glorious (depending on the time of year). Kangaroos and wallabies visit daily, as does a variety of birdlife - crows, hawks, ibis, magpies, willy-wag-tails, pee-wees, finches, parrots, doves, kookaburras to name a few. The airpark is easily accessible from the highway and Townsville is only 40 km away for shopping, restaurants, Magnetic Island trips. Fuel is available at Caltex Calcium, 13 km towards Charters Towers. Donnington can be used for an overnight stay or base yourself here for a few days and radiate outwards to Townsville, Charters Towers, Ravenswood or the Burdekin.

We stayed just one night but wish it was longer. The kids had a wonderful time. The owners and caretakers are what make this place special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. There were loads of swings, trampoline etc for the kids, they helped feed the farm animals. At night, the oowners set up an outdoor movie with popcorn, while the adults sat at the communal fire and were treated with campfire deserts (omg the mango cake was divine!!). We bought some whips while staying here and the kids were taught how to crack them. They also had heaps of space for riding bikes but were so busy they didn't get much time for their bikes. We loved our stay and the warm friendly hospitality, and will definitely be back - 10 out of 10!!!

A great place to stay with kids. They loved patting all the animals. We were lucky to stay on a Friday night where they have a movie night and popcorn for the kids and a fire and damper/cake for the adults. We were all spoilt!

We had a relaxing 2 days at Toni and Andrews place. We loved the chat around the fire. We were very happy to park our van In a safe and secure spot while we explored the sites. Easy access and level spots.

Great stay, was exactly as described. Plenty of flat, open space. Very friendly hosts. Came around and offered for the kids to be involved in feeding the animals, and taught them how to crack a whip. Great value, would definitely stay again.

Jason is the most amazing host, he really made sure our little one had the full farm experience getting to feed all the animals. Spacious sites & water hook up. Such amazing value. The experience with Jason & the animals made it a unique stay

We absolutely loved our stay here! Plenty of space for the kids to run wild and burn off some energy. Jason, the host, was super friendly and always up for a chat. Each afternoon he runs animal feeding, followed by rounding up the kids for a buggy ride around the farm. 🐐🐄🐖🚜 Safe to say, the buggy ride was a big hit with the kids and definitely one of the highlights of our stay! The property is self-contained only, but they do have a washing machine and dump point on site, which was a handy bonus.

Awesome place! There is heaps of room for you to park your van, you can even hook up to their water if you want to. Cute animals for the kids (& big kids) to enjoy. Cows, goats, pigs, miniature pony and more, there's also a big swing for the family to enjoy. We were able to wash some clothes for $5 which is very handy. You can even have a fire if thats what you like, a firepit is suplied and you can buy some wood off them for a great price. This truly is a great spot to relax and breathe. No noise, no cars driving past your site, no over priced sites, no noisy roads beside your site..... just Beautiful sunsets and pure relaxation..... You will love this spot!! Thankyou Jason & Katie for a great stay. 10/10
