Pelican Caravan Park features broad river frontage on the Nambucca River. We also have powered sites, some with absolute river frontage and some approximately 40 meters from the river which can cater for caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, campervans and tents. Since the highway bypass (we were on the old Pacific Highway) the highway noise has been removed. Whilst it has always been a beautiful location, we can now add tranquil to the list. If you have stayed in the past and found it too noisy, or been put off by the proximity to the highway, then come and experience the difference. You won’t be disappointed. An ideal base to explore the Nambucca Valley, Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Dorrigo and discovering the delights of the area. Bring your boat and go fishing all day for flathead and bream or fish from the river’s edge. Pelican Caravan Park is pet friendly all year round.

We are a 4 minute drive from the historical town of Gladstone, which has a bakery, butcher, general store, retail shops, fruit and veg shop, nursery, cafes, restaurants, an op-shop, second hand wares shop, galleries, outdoor swim centre and of course the local pub. Gladstone Markets are on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It's a 20 minute drive to South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head. Just 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie and 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour. Please arrive before dark, or advise arrival time if not possible . You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents or swags. Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching. Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them. Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive. You can pick your own site. Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area. Water is available near the hangar as you drive in.

NO CHEMICAL PRODUCTS - We ask that no chemical soaps, insect repellents, deodorants or skin products of any kind are used in our showers or in our waterways. QUIET HOURS - Yagaari is a place for people to relax and enjoy time in nature. My property consists of 100 acres with two rivers joining in the property with at least 1 km of river frontage. We are located in the foothills of the Nambucca valley. Pristine beaches are 20 minutes away, mountains and four-wheel drive tracks are a quick 20 minutes the other way. From here it's 15 minutes to Bellingen, 25 minutes to the famous Pub With No Beer and 5 minutes to the historic "verandah posts" town of Bowraville. Here you will find beautiful bird watching, animals and wildlife. Park your car or set up your caravan next to the river where you will wake up to amazing views. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank, breathe in the fresh clean air, try a spot of fishing or sit back and enjoy some bird watching. Warm your feet by the campfire in the evenings. We're located 20 minutes from Nambucca Heads as well as Scotts Heads beaches, and 30 minutes from Taylors Arm. A quick trip up into the foothills will take you to some great 4WD and mountain biking tracks, or you can explore the region and visit the historical Pub With No Beer. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water, a picnic table and rubbish facilities. We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite and the river but 2WDs are ok. Your pet is welcome to camp with you.

Camping here was such a great experience such a beautiful spot prime in the afternoon lovely open area clear view of the stars and plenty of room. Everyone is very friendly especially Rufus the dog. So close to Scott’s head point and good place to get away from the chaos of reflections and town. Would recommend for anyone, definitely coming back.

River Lea Green is a beautiful spot to stay. So peaceful to sit and relax by the river. Lots of space, friendly hosts and whilst we’re not really dog people, Teddy was a real gentleman and it was a delight having him keep us company. Also really good having access to water to fill our tanks. We only stayed 2 days this time but will be back for longer next time.

1 night at Peace and Paradise

My boyfriend and I loved staying here. We booked quite late but Robyn & Drewe replied really quickly and as we pulled up, Drewe greeted us with a lovely doggie called Bella. He showed us the pitch and said that it's a great spot for a sunrise (he was right!) Amenities were close and clean. It's a great place if you like stargazing as the sky was so beautiful! We definitely recommend staying here!!

Great position and really beautiful property. Kai is a great host and very easy to deal with, good communicator and very helpful. Sites are spaced out and well looked after. Definitely be back again.

We had such a beautiful stay at Way Way Getaway. From the moment we arrived, Mel made us feel so welcome. She’s just such a kind and caring person. You can really feel the love Sam has put into creating this place. It’s peaceful, relaxed, and just a joy to be in. Our son absolutely loved playing fetch with Rufus all day, that was definitely a highlight for him! It was also so nice to see other dogs there, all well behaved and adding to the relaxed atmosphere. We spent a lot of time on the grassy area by the camp kitchen, surrounded by trees. There is always a perfect spot for the hammock. Such a special place, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Sam and Mel 🙏

Weekend Trip to Peace and Paradise

Robyn and Drewe are exceptional hosts! They’re are so genuine and generous, they really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. The greenhouse has stunning views of the dam and ocean, especially at sunrise. The amenities were great, it was so useful having a kitchen, bbq, and hot showers! We were also spoilt with mandarins, bananas and guava growing on the property. This was by far one of the best campsites we’ve experienced, it’s truly such a special place. 🤍

Sam was a great host, very accommodating and easy to communicate with. There was plenty of room on site 6 for our 19ft van, we could have even remained hitched. Nice and peaceful location and only 3 minute drive to Scotts Head beach. We enjoyed the peace for a few nights away from the chaos of caravan parks. Will definitely return.

Well laid out campground. Peaceful, quiet and with a great host. Close to the local town for coffee, pub etc. highly recommend if you what get away from it all for a few days. we stayed for over a week, loved it.
