Hosted by the caretakers Jake and Claire,
Fun Mountain is a 54-acre property located in Glenview, Sunshine Coast - 30 minutes from the idyllic beaches of Caloundra or the beautiful hinterland towns of Maleny and Landsborough, and even closer to Australia Zoo and Big Kart go karting. The property is surrounded by State Forest and offers some great bush walks and mountain bike trails.
As the name suggests, the property is atop a mountain, but we do have flat areas perfect for camping or caravan set-ups with some spectacular views out over the Sunshine Coast (or of the local bushland, whatever suits you)
Dog and children friendly - let us know this when you are booking so we can suggest the best areas for you! Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. No toilets or potable water available - please bring your own.
Access to the property is via a gravel road. Due to recent weather events, an SUV or 4WD vehicle is most suitable to access the property. If you are unsure, please just send us a message and we are happy to help.
!PLEASE NOTE!: Due to current road works resulting in road closures, there is a detour in place to access the property. It is fairly well signed, and we have a very useful google maps link to assist. Upon booking we can provide this.
Please do not follow your GPS - access to the property is via Steve Irwin Way.

Up on a mountain, tranquil surroundings, a little highway noise at night from the highway.
Drive is rough heading up the mountain so better suited for a 4x4.
The spot is nice but with limited usable flat ground and even less ground that is usable for tents.
It is a secluded spot though and other than some distant travel noise, it’s very peaceful
The communication for the booking was a bit stressful with unanswered texts and phone calls due to communication challenges on their side so that was a stressful start to the weekend.
The bonus was that it was remote so there were no children during school holidays
