The space was secluded and lush green. The owner was helpful and gave us a call to explain how to arrive at the campsite. Although you could not see them from the campsite, there were some other people (permanently?) staying at the property near the house.

Setting some expectations: it's snakey, it's swampy (mozzies), and it's basic. But I liked it.
But...it's authentic bushland. I stayed 10 nights and used it as a base to do stuff in the area. Swag set up. It was quiet and peaceful and private.
Charles is a typical Aussie bloke, no wukkas.
I'd recommend being off the ground (swag on a stretcher, or a rooftop tent) and bring citronella and bug spray. Also...if it's pouring it down, bring maxxtrax. There are times a 2wd will not cut it.

We had our own private area, which was great — we were the only ones there during our stay, so it felt very quiet and secluded. The rainforest vibe was really nice and made it feel peaceful and relaxing. The location is also a big plus: very close to Peregian Beach and Noosa, and if we needed anything, the shops were just down the road. Overall a great spot if you want privacy while still being close to everything.

This Hipcamp does not feel safe or secure. What appears to be a permanent resident has rubbish scattered all across the site. The host has very poor communication. The site is a wet boggy mess. My husband and I drove in and reversed straight back out. This place should be closed by Hipcamp! DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!

Unfortunately we had backpackers with no respect at this Hipcamp. Blasting music and screaming until 2am. We asked them to be quiet in which they just got louder. Was very disappointed as there needed to be clear rules to allow others camping “peace and quiet” which was advertised. The camp site was swamped with mozzies due to being next to a river bed and the surroundings were thick with scrub. The host was nice enough but unfortunately didn’t set the rules.

Cute spot very close to lots of great area’s including Noosa, & Eumundi. Waking up to birds was fantastic, access to the camping area’s were tight with poor roads. Potential for 4WD requirements depending on weather. Toilets/Showers where unavailable or shared with permanent residents, worth checking these prior booking. Charles was responsive via personal communication.

Charlie was on hand to give us directions. He checked in with us just after dark to make sure we were ok and set up. There are mixed reviews on here and I do understand why however if you want peace and tranquility then it’s a nice spot close to the beaches. Charlie is just your usual Aussie bloke and means no harm. Thanks for letting us stay!

The photos are extremely misleading with muddy, poorly signed and designated sites and tracks, bathroom disgusting and really far away. The whole place felt sketchy, we left without staying and had to free camp instead given it was late in the day. Waste of $50 bucks

We loved the secluded nature of this campsite! Coupled with the lake, this campsite allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature and listen to the animals around us. Charles was friendly and quick to joke around and have a good time.

Charlie's arrival instructions were inaccurate, and when I arrived he was rude to me despite the error being his fault. He had no idea I was arriving, again making me feel in error despite our booking via the usual method in Hipcamp. There were also 11 dogs on the property which was a surprise to us.
The campsite was too boggy to stay in the set sites so he placed us in a more open space which was ok, although again he gave incomplete instructions about accessing this spot and proceeded to blame me and treat me poorly a) because I am a female driver and b) because I'm from WA.
While we were there another 3 vehicles entered incorrectly & as Charlie was no longer onsite we needed to instruct them on site locations and navigating the boggy mire. Mozzies bad.
Positives: I'm sure it would be a nice spot in a less rainy season (we camped in April). It was only 18 mins from Noosa Heads, the other bonus.
