Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
We are located on a peaceful 100-acre property, partially cleared for cattle agistment, approximately 30 minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales and 10 minutes inland from the quaint town of Bowraville. We offer a self-contained, totally off-grid cabin suited for a couple. There is also room within the fully fenced area surrounding the cabin for a tent site, plus space for a caravan or RV. A beautiful dam sits at the back of the cabin, home to turtles and water birds. Guests can explore our natural bushland and enjoy access to the crystal-clear waters of the upper reaches of the Nambucca River. The property is home to abundant wildlife, from magnificent wedge-tailed eagles to tiny blue wrens and wallabies galore. A fire pit and timber are provided for your use, weather conditions permitting. Please note that access to the property includes roughly 3 km of dirt road, which is usually in reasonable condition.Site 1 is a fully self-contained rustic cabin with a full en-suite bathroom. It has its own independent solar power and tank water. The cabin is enclosed by electric fencing to keep the cattle out of the lawn and garden area. On the back (Eastern side) of the cabin is a timber deck overlooking the spring-fed dam. The front of the cabin has a covered timber verandah for outdoor entertaining which looks out on the garden/lawn area with a fire pit. Distant views to the west provide amazing sunsets. There is a large undercover carport attached to the cabin, large enough to park an RV and to the side of that is a flat area where a caravan could be parked. A tent could easily be pitched on the lawn.

Firewood provided, firepit, wood burning fireplace, private. Firepit and timber provided for outdoor use. Internal wood burning fire in the cabin for those cold winter nights and crisp mornings.

Up to two small/medium sized dogs allowed but DEFINATELY NOT INSIDE THE CABIN. There is a kennel area attached to the southern side of the cabin off the timber deck. Guests must control their pets at all times particularly if/when livestock on the property. The cabin is surrounded by an electric fence which would be switched on if cattle around. There is also a cattle grid at the entrance so guests must make sure their dog(s) do not try to cross this. All waste to be collected and disposed off correctly. Dogs must not be left unattended and discouraged from barking at the wildlife.

Blue Wren Cottage
This charming little cabin has a beautiful, peaceful outlook. We had a lovely get away. Lesley and Cec have created an amazing space to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life! I would definitely stay here again and would absolutely recommend their cabin to friends, family and anyone looking for an off-grid location to reset.
