Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is a conscious camping space situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past). Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property. There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives). 68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this small, isolated pocket. We have five sites available for self-contained campers. We do not offer any facilities. Self-contained campers/vans only, you MUST bring everything with you including a toilet. Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region. Redgum Hill Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting. Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. Shed Pad (No longer has bathroom facilities) Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

We stayed on lakeside camp 3. It is exactly as in the photo. We sat there with drinks both mornings to listen to the life on the lake. So many birds and a pair of Whistling kites living in one of the trees. Paul was a very friendly host. There are about a dozen free range chooks wandering about and they generally just hung out with us. We also wandered down to the wetland area to spot more birdlife. Was a lovely peaceful stay. The camp site is flat and large with a firepit provided during camp fire season. Would definitely recommend.

Moo cows were moved after we arrived, but they are beautiful and will be back in a few weeks we were told

Here’s a refined, polished version of your updated review, keeping your voice and enthusiasm: ⸻ A beautiful spot! The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The property is close to the dam. The weather was a bit too chilly for swimming, but that didn’t stop our furry friend from jumping in and having an absolute ball! There’s also a paddleboard and a rope swing available for use. Our furry friend loved having plenty of open space to explore. The National Forest is nearby, so it’s best to keep dogs on a lead in that area due to baiting — but there are no baits on Shukuru Farm itself. Being a farm, there were a few flies, but nothing a fly net couldn’t fix. The wind was strong during our stay, so most of them were blown away anyway. The fire pits were a lovely bonus, and the starry skies at night were absolutely stunning. Such a relaxing, peaceful stay — I would definitely recommend staying here!

We had an amazing stay at Jarvis Estate Winery. The campsite sits right beside the vineyard, and waking up to rows of vines and soft morning light was honestly stunning. Our dogs absolutely loved it too – plenty of space to wander, sniff and explore, and the relaxed, open setting made it really easy to enjoy the weekend with them. We camped with friends, and the grassy sites were perfect for setting up our camper and outdoor area. There was loads of room, a really peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful trees offering shade. It never felt crowded, even with other campers around. The location is fantastic. We spent time in the Boranup Forest, and it was absolutely magical – towering karri trees, quiet trails, and that deep forest stillness you can’t help but soak in. Back at the winery, the wines were incredible. The staff were genuinely warm, friendly, and welcoming, creating such a relaxed experience. Tastings felt personal rather than rushed, and it was lovely enjoying a glass right where the grapes are grown. Overall, this spot is the perfect mix of nature, good wine, and easy, peaceful camping. Our friends loved it, our dogs loved it, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended.

Set on 80 acres, secluded from the main road and neighbours, we have a boutique vineyard and we operate as a working farm, at Dunmovin estate we operate a cellar door on weekends and open on request during the week, we sell our farm meat products and pasture raised eggs through the cellar door, which is also available to our Hicamp guests. Our cows, sheep and pigs are all super friendly. On most days we have abundant bird life including red and white tailed cockatoos. Our creek runs for most of the year but there are 2 large dams and several springs with water all year round. It is very quiet, private and a great place to unwind. We provide fire pits and firewood for when fire restrictions aren’t in place. Some very tall jarrah and Marri trees on the property, we crop some paddocks for hay and graze our farm animals in other paddocks. There are peaceful walks through paddocks or bush around the property.
